I haven't played this track for over 5 years, now I remember why! I still has maneuver smell in parts of the course. The conditions are shabby. There are a lot of hard dirt patches, lask watering to keep conditions playable. I'll start with the tee boxes, many are hacked up with un-repaired divots. Some are uneven, for a good stance. Fairways are marginal to terrible. The rough was a bit long, but okay, because that is where the good grass wss(hahaha). Bunkers are un-manucured, with a lot of foot divots. Greens are the best asset. Soft and rolled nice. I don't think I'll be back soon, maybe another 5 years...

I haven't played this course in over 5 years. It's a good ego boost track, because it's short (5290-Blue) with short, so approach is easier. Tee boxes are in good to some fair condition. The fairway have some hard pan dry spots. The rough is good and playable for approach shots. Bunkers look good, lucky me, I didn't have to play out of any. Several holes seem short(par 4), so 2nd shots under 100 yards was common. The greens are in good condition, but seem med-slow. Since practice greens are closed, it will take a few holes to get a feel of strong putts to reach the cup. Overall okay.

Got an underpar deal, played 36... What a beautiful track. Customer service is very good. Conditions are excellent. The practice area is excellent. With putting area & chipping area. The 1st hole is a par 5, with a giant tree in the middle, have fun! The fairways are all great condition, the only hole in crappy shape is 18...the rough is very playable and you can get your 2nd shot to the green. Bunkers have good quality sand and is playable. The greens are all rolling smooth and true, probably med-fast. This is a must play course, I'll be back soon!

Nothing but compliments for Goose Creek. Played here Friday, easy check-in. I suggest to arrive 1 hour prior to tee time, to take advantage of the Best practice facility. (very) Large practice greens, (very) large chipping area, pitching area, 20+stslls for range ball hitting. The course is in great shape. Tee boxes are firm and level. Fairways are nicely mowed and firm, but not hard. Rough is in good playable length (1"-2". Bunkers have good quality sand, I know, because I was in several. Greens are med-firm and fast. The putts are rolling very true to what to see. A must play!

I played here Friday, 8:50 am. Weather was perfect for golf!... I haven't played here in over a year, course is in top-notch condition for July. The tee boxes are firm and level. Some unrepaired divots, but no sand given (Convid-19). The fairways are mowed tight with firm and minor divot issues (no sand). The rough is a playable 1", some a little deeper, but playable. The course throughout have strategically place bunkers, to make you play with "course management" or you may go long and end up in unranked bunkers (Convid-19). The greens are rolling true with medium-fast pace. Very true to the cup. Highly recommend to arrive early to use one of the best practice areas I ever seen for a public course. Large putting area. Large chipping area. About 25 stalls for the range. There is also a short pitching green... Really fantastic facility for golfers! I recommend playing here, if you can!

I haven't played here in nearly 5-6 years, and now I remember why! The tee boxes are hacked up. There are a lot of "very new" players that go here. The course does not seem to be highly maintained, probably, because the city of Montebello runs it. The local residents play here a lot, and do not seem to care either. The fairways had some major bare spots, like they did care for the course during the pandemic. Most other golf courses that I have played are in really good shape, but not here! I seems they where saving water, since players where not allowed out for nearly 3 months, well they did not seem to maintain their course for 90 days. The rough seems mowed to a playable level, the bunkers are in terrible condition, water puddles unraked (no rake) foot print divots. You can tell a lot of "new players" go here. Hackers! The greens are slow! You really need to hammer your stroke, not fun. Again, it seems to accommodate HACKER players, because new players do not know how to putt with feel, just "hammer" hitting, which these greens need. I don't think I'll be back. Bye!

I played here on Tuesday. Check in required mask be worn, and #socialdistancing. The course layout is fun and challenging. The tee boxes are firm, and flat with some "hacker" divots. The fairway is firm, so good rolls for added distance is a plus. The rough is cut low and nice to play out of. The bunkers are firm (no rakes) and playable, if you choose to play out of them. The greens are very good. They are rolling firm and med-fast, with a true read to the cup. I will definitely play here again.

I played here on Thursday, mask are "required", around the pro shop, but once on the course, optional. They are not taking cash, debit or credit card only.
The course was in very good condition. Fairways where lush, yet tightly mowed. The rough was about 1"-3", you can lose your ball, because of the lushnesd, but playable when found. Bunkers (no rakes) seem to be optional to play it or drop. Greens are rolling med-fast and true. POP was about 4+ hours, but I wasn't in a hurry to get home (#stayathome) to watch TV. I'm ready to go back, probably next week.

I played here yesterday, around noon. The course was very busy. Each group can take a single on the cart or if you choose, you can ride with 2. The fairways are in good condition, not too many dry or dirt patches, but some. The rough is cut low, about 1". The greens are a bit slow, but rolled nice. (med-slow) Bunkers did not have rakes, conditions are firm to hard. It's not too exciting to play , but it's golf.

Booked a Monday(May 11) play at 11:30. Got on, on time. Customer Service is very good. They limited the number of people in the shop (5) They need a credit card/ debit card. The tee boxes are level and in good condition. The fairways are firm and allow good roll. The rough was about 1"-2" and playable. Bunkers do not have rakes. Sand is ok, a bit firm. Those that get in, can take a free drop, if agreed within your group. The greens are medium and roll nice. I'm glad they are opened again!

I played here yesterday (twilight). I got to go out as a single, so no mask required. Carts are available and can be shared but for players that live in the same household. The course was in very good condition. Tee boxes are flat with light damage (hackers) . the fairways looked and played nice. good roll with firm, yet tightly cut track. The rough was reasonable 1"-3". Shots came out pretty clean. Bunkers had no rakes. Either play out and complain about the foot prints, or just pick up and chip. The greens rolled med-fast and true. Flags and pins in, but cups flipped over with bumpers. Either try to putt to the cup and complain about the ball not going in, or just get close and take a 2 putt. Most everybody will end their round with near par! ...hahaha
Thank you Riverside for allowing us to play golf again!

I played here last Friday, and this course never disappoints from the practice area and throughout the course. The course got over seeded a couple of weeks ago and is in perfect condition; the tee boxes are level and firm. the fairways are spectacular. The rough is medium and very playable. The bunkers have clean (no rocks) sand and fluffy. The greens rolled medium, but a bit slow for my playing partners, whom play here every week. They said they are slow...a matter of opinion. They rolled nice for me! That is all that matters in a (betting) round!
I really recommend this course, if you have never played here.
