Played the course yesterday. We have not played this course since the start of the virus restrictions. They are now taking reservations by calling the Pro shop without having to pre-pay for your group. A+ for going back to this system. Check-in was smooth and as always staff was friendly.

Course conditions. Fairways were very firm so balls rolled if you landed on it, contained grass but not plush. Bunkers were compact and had many small rocks. Rough were lush and were about 2", but were being cut as we played. Greens were fast and unless you flopped it on the green expect it to roll.

Marshalls were seen driving around the course, but POP was a good at about 4 hours.

Played today. Course is in very nice condition. Course is open to carts except for Hole #6. Rough is still slightly overgrown, but they were mowing it as we played. Fairways are nice and lush. Sand traps are decent but slightly compacted. Greens are nice, smooth and rolled med-fast.

Beautiful day to be out, cold in the morning but warmed up as we played. POP was a great 3.75 hours. Staff was great as usual. Still no inside dining due to Riverside Covid restrictions.

Played here Monday 11/2 so review is a little late. Course is in very nice condition. The greens have recovered from aeration and are mostly smooth playing med-fast. Traps are decent with adequate sand but compacted. Tee boxes are being repaired and tees are placed on the red tee box. Hole#8 Par 3 appears to have tee boxes replaced with mats, unfortunately ball can not be placed on a tee. POP 4 hours.

No inside dining per Riverside County rules. One of the best golf course values for the area. Staff friendly as usual.

Played yesterday 11/4 before noon. Upon arrival we noticed large groups of golfers waiting in the parking lot. We knew that it was going to be a long day of golf. We were told that we could go up to the 1st tee early before the large groups. We were excited but excitement subsided when we got to 1st tee and there already was a wait. Teed off 5 minutes behind booked tee time.

POP was a grueling 5 hours in 92 degree heat, with no Marshall moving golfers along. Had to wait on almost every hole.

Course conditions: Sand traps were filled with new sand. Greens still had visible aeration holes and have not yet been cut so balls rolled slow. Fairway was nice and green, some areas were overwatered and muddy. Rough was lush and tall needing to be cut so balls can get lost. Most of the tee boxes are being fertilized and over seeded.

Course conditions should be perfect in the next several weeks hopefully they control POP

Went back to Hidden Valley to play since the other courses in the local area have aerated last week. I thought that they would get their act together and have a Starter and Marshall with all the complaints of slow play. WRONG.

Upon arrival at the clubhouse we were told that everyone was running on time. Showed up on time at the 1st tee but there was already a line. Golfers on the box were already 30 minutes behind their tee time, not their fault as they also had to wait. No Starter to get people off on time. Waited on almost every hole and no Marshall to move people along. POP was a grueling 5.5 hours.

Okay course condition: Sand traps are being repaired and sign at pro shop say to take out of trap and get free drop. Rough has not been cut down especially around the traps, so good luck finding your ball if you land in the area. Fairways are in good condition. Greens are lush but need to be tamped down and cut as the are slow.

Sorry to say, that this course is now on the bottom of the list until they can get POP back down to a 4-4.5 hour pace.

Played today. The course is in good condition. Only hole #5's green had some damage to it. They have filled in all the sand traps with nice fluffy white sand. The traps are the best I've seen in years. All lakes have been filled with water and the fountains are all working. Overseeding was done on the tee boxes and the bare spots on the course. Glad to see this place being rejuvenated. Green Fees did increase around $10. POP was just slightly over 4 hours.

Its been about 4 months since we last played this course. Again another round over 5 hours. Still no starter to get groups started on time. 1st tee was already backed up by 4 groups. We started 20 minutes behind our scheduled tee time. Waited almost every hole to tee off. Saw 2 Marshalls but still no improvement in pace of play.

Greens seem to have suffered from disease or heat as some had bald spots affecting your putts. Greens were bumpy and the back nine had min aeration marks. Fairways were decent but mushy due to watering to keep them green. We were told that sand traps should be played as GUR as they were being redone. Some of the tee boxes were beat up and uneven.

Might be awhile for me to return due to POP especially in this heat.

First time plying this course. I agree with the previous review about the conditions of the course However greenside bunkers did not have sand but was hard compacted dirt. I agree with some of the quirkiness regarding some of the holes. Some holes were like playing a miniature golf course.

For example Hole #7 a par 3 with a bunker in the middle of the green, depending of pin placement there is no straight putt to the flag if you land on the opposite end. Hole #9 with no shot to the green unless you land in the middle of the fairway. Landing on the left or the right of fairway and second shot you had to carry over some towering trees which really need to be trimmed down. The back 9 was a lot better.

Green fees are reasonable and staff was welcoming and great. Caution I did see a snake in the waste area just beyond the first tee, so be careful about wandering oof into the OB area.

Played yesterday. Started on the back nine. It was a hot and humid day, energy was zapped by the end of round. Course in overall good condition. Greens showing some divot damage, but still rolled true. Wind came into effect in some holes. Landed in some greenside bunkers, which contained good fluffy sand. Fairways were nice and not showing any heat damage. Staff as always were friendly. POP slightly over 4 hours.

Had the opportunity to play this course yesterday after being invited by a friend. The course hidden in a nice community off the 76 near the 15 freeway.

Upon arrival you are greeted with friendly staff at the clubhouse and given directions to the amenities. Ran into some members who were very helpful with course tips.

Played the Blue tee but some holes are rated blue/black tees. Greens were nice and held shots. Their appearance was deceiving as hey looked quick but rolled slow. Fairways were nice and green, some were tight. Bunkers were tamped down sand and were hard.

So some of the holes had some weird layouts. Like #7 was a 45 degree dog leg left uphill. Hole #9 was a a beautiful elevated tee onto a tight fairway below. #13 was a blind shot downhill which required you to push a stop light when you leave the tee and to push it again when you leave the landing area. #14 was another elevated tee which was a either played as a par 3 or 4 depending on which tee box you used, also requiring you to use another stop light. #18 was a nice long par 5.

Course knowledge is a must. Enjoyable but some holes did not make sense.

First time playing Torrey Pines today. Was hoping to play the South Course but we were only able to get a tee time for the North. I was excited to play the course as I was told that the course is fabulous. Drove close to an hour and half to get to course from the O.C.

Staff was friendly, especially the starter. They are strict on starting on time, which we did as the course gets packed. POP was 4 hours as we teed off early.

Tee boxes were okay but the par three boxes were somewhat beaten up. Fairways were green and provided a decent roll. Some fairways were cart path only, which didn't make sense. Roughs were being cut as we played. Balls stuck if you landed on the rough. Greenside bunkers provided lots of sand and easy to get out of. Greens had a lot of divot damage visible and were hard as concrete. Balls would not hold on the greens, but they rolled true.

So is the green fees worth the course? If your a San Diego resident, Yes. If your a non-resident, No. Its a municipal course charging resort fees, just because of the views. I have played many resort courses with superb conditions for half the greens fees charged here. I also don't understand the extra fees to book a tee time 7 days out. Checked course of the list, but no interest in going back.

First time playing this course yesterday. Country Club name is deceiving, as it more like a Muni course. Not a country club feel as clothing requirement is very laxed, saw golfers dressed in T-Shirts.

Green fees should be more like $30's not $40's. Lots of mature trees surrounding the fairways, so if you land in the trees not an easy out. Some quirky holes with power lines crossing the fairways. One in are group hit the lines. Also hole #9 has a power pole blocking the green. Sprinklers were left on, so players had to wait for sprinklers to cycle before hitting balls.

Greens had mini aeration marks. Greens were slow due to aeration and slightly bumpy. Hitting exactly to the greens is a must as short shots bounced back due to kikuya grass surrounding greens. Fairways were decent no bare spots. Some fairways were narrow. finishing Hole #18 was a par 3, only 2nd course I've played with a Par 3 finish.
