played today on a screaming $9 for 18 holes walking...yes $9...that was an unheard of deal these days...although the course is on the short side...that doesn't make it easy...small greens make it a challenge and the trees will too...the conditions were great...only complaint were the sand traps ..they did have sand but they were "crusty"...i know there was rain in the morning..but never have i played in such crusty traps before...but other than that...played in 4hrs. and was enjoyable. you will use all the clubs in your bag here...again ..don't let the length fool you...it is a challenge...

The course was in the best shape I have seen in awhile (except the sand traps) the traps were lacking sand....top sand ok..but hard pack or no pack below...that was the only complaint...the rough was deep and you almost had to be over the ball to see it...must be getting ready for the LB Open? A great track with enough trees and water to keep it interesting...don't miss this course if you are looking for a reasonable green fee in Long Beach.

played today....greens were in great shape. the course was the usual crowded...tee time 20 minutes late but they did comp us some range balls which was nice. sand traps were inconsistant.........nice challenge but the course is pretty noisy with fwy noise...but don't let that stop you from playing....

the greens were rolling great....sand traps consistant and good sand, fairways were good some tee boxes needed some attention....you could see alot of sand filled divots between the tees...so why don't they move the tees back or front as i am sure this just wasnt from today....they do need a marshall to get out there and keep things moving...and how about some discounts online or for HB residents?

greens were running true and fast...pin placements today were diabolical boardering on unfair....I wondered who they were out to get today....a great setting, challenging holes and for a public course it has a private cc feel. all the staff we ran into were very polite and professional. a bit pricey, but if you want a change from the public city courses...go play this one....

A long drive up to ojai but worth every penny. When was the last time you played a course for $19? A great track with challenging holes and wonderful conditions. Enough water and trees to keep you thinking. Undulating greens make it a challenge too. Don't miss this course. Make the drive. You won't be disappointed.

Conditions were great. Just slow play only complaint. Challenging course but wide open fairways for the most part. Sand traps were consistent. Greens were great Wind can make this course a challenge.

the course was in great condition and the folks that work there are most friendly I have come across at any course. great practice facitities with a new chipping area along with grass range, sand trap and great putting green. the rates are fair and they even have a "marshall" that is out there looking out for slow groupls and helping them speed it along. Every course should learn from this one! Even though it is a bit of a drive, I highly recommend heading out there to play this one! Watch out for the 18th hole! and a few challenging par 3's too....you will use every club in your bag on this course...Don't miss playing here....a great track!

I walked this course...and it is a tough but walkable course...always great conditions here , just took over 5 hours to play which is unacceptable anywhere. greens were great as usual and running fast! stay below the hole! sand traps were inconsistant....fairways were lush and nice. like the south better but don't pass up the north!

Great challenging course. Greens are in pretty good condition. Fairways great. Sand traps consistent. Great price for the course Pace of play great.

Fairways a bit shaggy. Greens were small and challenging. Watch out for 3-putts. A lot of blind shots. Lots of doglegs around the hills. Not too many level lies. Marshall was out there which is nice, but needs to be more on top of who he tells to speed up! Would be great views if it was a clear day. Even though a short course you will have to think your way around this course and you will use all the clubs in your bag. Narrow fairways and some small greens will make it a challenge

great chance to play the club....greens were fast and soft....traps wonderful and consistant....fairways were great and the course was challenging for sure...a few tight holes and some tough par 3's....if you get a chance....don't pass this course up....
