WOW, WHAT A REALLY CRAPPY COURSE. THESE WERE SOME OF THE WORSE CONDITIONS I HAVE EVER SEEN. I THOUGHT I WOULD TREAT MYSELF TO SOME UPPER CALIBER GOLF, SO I DROVE OVER 90 MINUTES TO GET TO THIS DOG TRACK AFTER READING SOME OF THE REVIEWS. THERE WAS MORE DIRT THAN GRASS IN THE FAIRWAYS. THE COURSE WAS DOING FERTILIZATION SO THE SPRINKLERS WOULD TURN ON AT RANDOM TIMES. TWICE WHILE WE WERE PUTTING, THEY CAME ON AND SOAKED OUR CART AND BAGS. WHAT A BUNCH OF BULL#%*! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY DRIVING TO THIS COURSE FOR QUITE A WHILE. I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE WHO WAS PISSED. ANOTHER FELLOW IN THE BATHROOM WAS REALLY UPSET. HE HAD DRIVEN THERE FROM SANTA BARBARA.
I have played almost all of the courses in So Cal, and this dog track has to be in the top 3 worst courses I've ever played. I was able to play it for free and I still feel like I didn't get my money's worth. Would not play again even if it were for free.
Truly a beautiful course. Place it early before the winds really gets blowing!
Played in a Red Rock Casino golf tournement. Fantastic condition. The course conditions were outstanding. Beautiful surroundings, and great weather. The course is not to tricked up. Every hole has character. Greens were pure, a little slow, but very smooth. The staff was terrific.
Ah good ol Sierra Lakes...Different day same ol crap. Had a 1:22 tee time, was told that they were backed up 30 mins as usual. No carts as usual. Terrible customer service as usual. Never any apology for there lack of organization, actually they gave me attitude because I was upset that every time I go to the place they are never on time. The starter was a jerk, the guy in the pro shop was a jerk when I asked for my money back. Overall the course,(if you can get on), is okay. Organization and customer service not too good. Won't be back...
From the highway you can see the course. At first glance it does'nt look too impressive, but give it a play, you won't be dissappointed. Really nice layout with challenging holes. A fun course in great shape.
Overall not too bad of shape. Greens were actually very nice. A little shaggy, but very few ball marks. Woodley is what Woodley is, not exactly Pebble Beach, but still in decent condition if you want to get out and play.
COURSE IN GREAT SHAPE. JUST GET RID OF ALLOWING FIVESOMES. THIS JUST KILLS THE ENJOYMENT OF PLAYING WHEN YOU HAVE TO WAIT ON EVERY TEE BOX AND EVERY FAIRWAY TO HIT. 5 HOUR ROUND ON A WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, I WOULD HATE TO SEE IT ON THE WEEKENDS!!!!!
Played on Jan 20. 2nd group out. Very cold about 38* when we teed off. Be aware that there have been frost delays for the last 3 days. First group did not go out until 7:30. The fairways are pretty beat up, but with the cold weather what can you expect. The greens however are the best I've think I've ever seen there. Very smooth and pretty fast. They have not completely finished the changes to the course (going from a par 70 to a par 72) but they're getting there. Overall not great but not bad either. Dress warm if going out early!!
In a word "CRAPTACULAR". Don't waste your money. The course is in terrible condition. And to make matters worse, there was a tourny going on. There was a foursome more than a hole behind, yet playing as a single the chump marshall hassles me because I'm hitting two balls. There was no one for three holes behind me, and I'm up the *ss of the group in front of me, but yet I'm the problem. Get real!!!!
I really like this course. However for a high end course, you don't get very much for your money. Range balls are not included. There were no towels, and when I asked for one from the club attendent he looked at me as if I'd asked him for a free set of clubs. I have played quite a few upper end courses, this one does not rate very high in customer service. With that said, the course is in really nice condition for the middle of summer. Greens were pretty true, the fairways nice. All in all a very nice round. Also I shot a 73 which always makes the course seem a little more enjoyable!!!
Overall not in very good shape. Some fairways are undistinguishable from the rough. A lot of bare spots in the fairways, sometimes just dirt. Don't expect much, but it's okay if you just want to get out and hit the ball.
