Golf Course Reviews
Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii!Played 03/20/2010. Difficult! This is probably one of the hardest courses i've played in my life. Comparable to the TPC Stadium course at La Quinta in respect to difficulty. Other than that, the course was in perfect condition with great views. The layout was awesome with holes meandering through forest and sand dunes. Tee boxes, fairways, rough, bunkers, and the greens were in awesome form. However, I don't think it is worth the price. And i'm not just saying that because I got spanked out there.
I recommend playing Spanish Bay instead of Spyglass if you have to choose between the two. Especially if you're staying at the Inn.

Played 03/21/2010. What a spectacular course! Tee'd off around 10am and finished at 3:30pm. This was my second time playing and it was just as memorable and exciting as the first. The only difference was that I walked the round this time which I highly recommend. The weather was perfect with a slight breeze. The views on this course are simply breathtaking.
Everything was perfect from tee to green. Lush and level tee boxes, carpet fairways, afro rough, spectacular greens, and the best bunkers around. Although the course isn't too long, even from the tips, it is definetly challenging. The service was wonderful and the beverage cart was always around. Kinda pricey tho...$10 for a can of beer! Domestic!
Began the round en fuego at 1-under after the 5th hole until my buddy jinxed me and reminded me that I was 1-under. Tripled the next hole and so goes the story.
The only downside are the tourist and spectators who walk the course and take pictures, especially on the 18th hole. There was a family with baby strollers and little kids walking down the 18th fairway. I was probably 240yds away when I yelled "fore" before my shot in order to get them out of the way. The entire family just looked back at me and started smiling and waving at me. They obviously didn't know anything about golf. About 5 minutes later, I was faced with a 15yd chip in the rough when another group of tourists were taking their pictures and running around and frolicking around my ball. My buddy asked them to be quite while I hit but they just looked at us like we were crazy.
Overall, golfing Pebble Beach is more an experience than a round of golf. I recommend all golfers to visit the golf mecca at least once in their lifetime.

Played 05/27/2010 on the Oaks and Creek 9's. First time playing. Great course with top notch service. Tee'd off around 3pm on a Thursday afternoon and finished in 3h50mins.
Overall, the conditions were wonderful. The greens were great and rolled true and fast. Fairways were above average and the rough was nice and shaggy. The bunkers were also in good condition with fluffy sand. The only downside was the uneven tee boxes. Nonetheless, very well kept facility.
I will definetly play this course again even with the one hour trek from LA. Went to Pechanga afterwards and grubbed like a mad man at the buffet. Almost fell asleep on the drive home cause I ate too much.

Played 08/04/2007. Course is looking great after renovations. Still tough. Worth playing.
Played on 3/21/07. Course is in good condition. Haven't seen it this green in a long time. Fairways are lush and greens are good. A few dents and unrepaired divots but overall in nice condition. 7.5 out of 10.
Played on 3/3 with ellcholo, two others and Santa Ana winds. Overall conditions were good. Lush fairways and tee boxes. However, the greens were very quick and slippery. Greens did not hold the ball at all. Couldn't concentrate on golf because my lips were too chapped from the 50 mph winds. Had a few 5 waggles on the greens between our foursome because of the tornado.
Usually a great course when weather conditions are good. Course was 7.8 out of ten. Weather was 1.1 out of 100.
