Played today, the weather was in the mid 60's, a little East wind; very comfortable for walking.
Snuck in after the Senior Tourney at about 11am, and I had the course practically to myself.
The cooler weather has helped the punched greens come back nicely, they were about as good as I've ever seen them, consistent and lush. Recently they've punched the tee boxes and partial fairways. The cottonwoods are beginning to get some of that Autumn yellow, and the redtail hawks are lovely to watch circling this special little river valley.
Really a great day on a fun, challenging course here in the high desert. Come and check it out, it's going to be great for the next few weeks.

Played the course today for the second time. i basically play bogey golf, but played the front nine +3. The course is in great shape, and the management is very good. Greens were a bit long and slow on some, but overall very consistent. The smoke from the Ca fires layed down a bit. Had the place virtually to my self for the first nine. You So Cal guys would feel like you had your own CC up here. Oh. yeah. no traffic either! Staff is very nice, and they have some great food too.Great course for the High Desert environment.

I grew up in San Diego, and would play this course occasionaly in college. It's a fun executive course, that plays quick and has small challenging greens. The price is right, and the scenery is really nice in this little San Diego canyon.
