Last reviewer submitted an unfair review of course and also intentionally rated course way below the courses' 12 month rating average, then proceeds to insult everybody else by labeling them cheap and twisted. The course must've gotten the best of the reviewer because he drove all the way from San Clemente to play and paid a very fair price for a round of golf only to succumb to it's challenges! Talk about cheap and twisted, simply hypocritical.

The course has made tremendous improvements since management has changed hands, over a year and a half ago! The place is alot cleaner, the fairways are lusher than they have ever been, and now an actual rough exists, adding to it's challenge! The greens are probably some of the best in the area. Do not expect the course to be on the same standards with course charging nearly double its fees. Only expect to have a great time at a very reasonable rate. The food is delicious and fairly priced and the price of beer is the cheapest I've found on most golf courses. A can of domestic is $3.00/can which also includes the tax. Most courses charge on the average $4.50-$5.00 a can. Remember you're not being charged absorbenant fees for fancy landscaping and waterscapes, you're simply paying for 18 holes of golf and nothing more! The latest improvements to be incorporated are the 82 brand new "Clubcar" carts that was just delivered right before Thanksgiving day. Plus, they have added approximately 20,000 new Top-Flite Super Range Balls to their brand new range dispensers. The range has also become more user friendly with the addition of new picnic table seating to accomodate friends and family members. The course has finally obtained it's own full liquor license and is serving both beer and hard liquor drinks and is in the process of building out a small bar that will be staffed by a professional bartender. The course is assessible to everyone and the staff is more than accomodating! It's your friendly neighborhood course that you can consistently play more than once a week without breaking the bank and what's wrong with that? I guess you can't please them all......

The track is long and narrow in the wrong spots and to many raised greens and blind shots making holes tougher than the should be, the greens are good and the traps are very fair the par 3s are fun but beware anybody who tells you this is their favorite course is cheap or twisted maybe both.

Decided to take the drive eout for a nice walk, unfortunatly it really wasn't interested in going. For the course it was in really good shape, and i was pleasently supprised. This course was not in the best of conditions last time i played about a year and a half ago, but they have made some great improvements to the course. there is still work to be done and some holes are hurting, but for the improvments i have to give them high marks. For 19 bucks good deal.

tee boxes slowly improving, ball washers on most holes, better port-a-johns, only one water jug on course, greens just punched which was bad enough but several covered in tree debris (catkins?), pace of play slowed horribly near end.
All in all, still a good value. Sure seems longer than 6100 yards when you walk!!

played cresta verde 3/14 in AM because i was in area. not too many people on the course, conditions were light sunny. course was in fair condition, with decent tee boxes, and fairways that were pretty full, without any bare spots. greens were quick, and chips run a long ways. i'm not particularly a fan of the layout, however. a fair number of blind shots, and a lot of shots into elevated greens where you can barely see the top of the flag. it makes for an interesting day of golf, where 6100 from the blues can certainly play longer. fairways are narrow, making an accurate tee shot a must. par 3's are varied, with a 236 yarder to a 110 yarder following that. price is right on weekdays or weekends, a good course overall. come expecting good golf, don't expect great things, and you won't be disappointed.
