Just a heads up, the course is recovering from aeration so the greens are still a little bumpy. Probably another week or two and they'll be great. Everything else was fine for the most part.

The renovations that took place throughout 2011 and into 2012 for the Balboa Park Golf Course project are now complete and they included minor upgrades to the nine hole course. The course looks better than ever! With that being said, understand that this "executive" nine hole course is what it is. It gets massive amount of play from locals ($14 weekdays w/ Residents Card) and the skill level can vary from first-timers to everyday walkers. The course is riddled with eucalyptus trees that line the fairways and you'll see the almost always come into play on wayward shots. The greens look good and the bunkers could be a bit smoother but again you pay what you get for. Nothing dramatically challenging here but a fun course to play if you have 2 hours.
