Played the Ike yesterday after having my fill of the Babe and having to sleep on my stomach. Front nine is good. Back nine the greens are punched and sanded, curious as to why since they had the City Championship on Sunday. The Ike's fairways, bunkers and tee boxes are otherwise in great shape. Cart girl came around plenty of times. Good times here at Industry Hills. Staff was great and pace was a little slow for a Monday, but these courses are not easy so it's understandable.

Played here last Tues. to try to get my revenge. Played the previous week and got ripped a new one. Actually, that happens EVERY time I play here. Starter, staff, very nice. Course conditions are really good. Tees fairways and greens all nice, as well as the bunkers. City Championship is this weekend so both courses are in great shape. Greens healing really nice from previous week's verti-cut. Very receptive to shots, just wish they were a little faster. They do, however, give you a good roll. Drink girl came around 3 times so we were good on a really hot day. I like playing here even though, again, I got ripped a bigger one. Wow, it's getting tough to take, but I can't wait to tee it up here again. Gotta sleep on my stomach tonight...

Played this past weekend. Greens were verti-cut, getting it ready for the City Championship. Course was damp, sprinklers were turned on sporadically all afternoon due to the heat. Bunkers were exceptional. Drink girl came around often. I love playing here even though I get ripped a new one every time I tee it up here. Staff was nice and pace was fine.

Played here on Sunday with an email special and boy, lots of people out on Fathers Day. Starter was going crazy but after the first 3 holes, it started to spread out and pace was fine. This course is a real test. It doesn't get any respect being next to the newer, snazzier Ocean Course but man, this is a championship layout. No wonder they have US Open qualifiers here.
Tees, fairways and greens were excellent, as well as the sand. A little soft and wet overall but not too bad, I can't complain. Only thing is the houses takes away from the ambience and the garrish Ritz-Carlton behind the majestic 18th green is truly an eye-sore, but if I lived closer, I'd play here a lot more.

And God said, let there be light...I mean, Spyglass Hill. Played last Monday and words cannot describe the first 5 holes. A lot of the ice plant has been removed from the last several times I played here on holes 1-5, esp. around the 4th hourglass green. However, still plays tough and brutal. Fairways were tight, some of the tee boxes were punched, and a few of the greens were lightly verti-cut, but all in all, the condition was top-notch. The check in, staff, cart guy, starter and everyone was really nice and pleasant. Pins were brutal. Was told they set them easy on the weekend then toughen them up during the week for the locals. Got the NCGA rate and then cruised over to Pebble Beach for our afternoon round after being told in the pro shop at Spy that we could do a replay at Pebble for $250 when we're done. . Pebble was good, very, very good. Finished with the sun going down and it really doesn't get any better than that for public golf here in Callifornia. For $435, to play Spyglass and Pebble is really a treat. With all the deals going on up there right now, it's hard pay good money when you can play Pebble, Spanish, Spyglass, Poppy, and Pasatiempo for dirt cheap. Now is the time to play!!

This is bare-bones golf at its best. 25 bucks with a cart so you can't complain. Greens are spongy and somewhat green, and roll very slow. There is grass on the tee boxes and fairways, so at least El Prad's got that going for it. But there is absolutely no sand in any of the bunkers. None. But hey, for 25 bucks, I could care less. People inside were cool, very nice and the wind picked up to make it a challenge today.

I played here today in the morning and the weather could not have been better. The course is very pretty with a lot of flowers and such, the new clubhouse is tremendous and everyone inside and out is very, very nice. I haven't played here for 15+ years and the new redesign is really good. Narrow fairways, tough to hit and surprisingly a lot of elevation up and down. Condition of the fairways was good, bunkers were good, tees were good, but the greens were really, really awful. They were cut tight but there's dirt everywhere and it's tough to explain, but overall, I was really disappointed in the greens. Fungus everywhere and tough to get a decent roll. I tried to not let it bother me but after a while, it wears on you. I ran it back in the afternoon on The Players' Course and that course is much longer but wider fairways. Both course's here are good, but I still don't think they're in the same league with Desert Willow, Shadow Ridge, or Eagle Falls. Just a notch below, not by a lot, just by a hair. Played The Players's by myself, nobody out there in the afternoon, played in 1 hr and 18 min. That's how golf should be!!

I played here last weekend, made the long drive from Corona. Never played here before but always wanted to. Wow, what a fantastic course. You local guys are lucky. I loved this place. The lines coming into the greens are exceptional, and the shape and movement of the greens is outstanding. I can't believe one gets this much course for so little $$. I hit every club in my bag and while the course plays extremely short, it demands your full attention. Stout par 3's and a great mix of short and long par 4's. The condition of the course was very, very good and the cart girl came around often. Pace was a tad slow, but didn't bother me at all. Overall, I'm very happy I played here and wish it was a lot closer.

Played today and have to say, what a treat. I have never played here before, because I assumed it was a goat farm. Pulled into the parking lot and walked into the proshop to check in and was taken care of very nicely by Eric? I think that was his name. Not the nicest guy but hey, it's a busy place and I'm sure he has to deal with all kinds of poop from people. Eric, you're a cool dude, keep up the good work. Anyway, got paired up with a 3some and off we went. Course was in surprisingly great shape. Greens were fast if you were above the hole, but held approach shots well. Very surprised by the quality of the greens. Tees and fairways were fine as well. Wasn't in any bunkers today but they looked fine too. No cart girl threw me for a loop, but not that big a deal. Overall, was very impressed with San Dimas. Loved the course but won't play here often because we were behind a 5some. Brutal...and painful.

Have played here many times but would like to add that now that they have "redesigned" the Monument, I like it even better. They've taken the 2 nines I liked the best and put them together. Now, from the moment we pulled in to when we left, we were treated like royalty, not that I was expecting that or cared really. But it is nice to know that Troon Golf still emphasizes customer service. The golf course is in amazing condition and everyone there goes out of their way to make you feel like you got your money's worth. Alot of homes around here, but still a special place to me. Man, you AZ guys are lucky!!

Words cannot describe the absolutely beautiful condition of the turf here. Best I've experienced in a long time, including many private clubs. We walked and they have Sun Mountain Speed Carts on the first tee for free for all those who want to walk this easily walkable course. The tees, fairways and greens are just literally perfect. And that is scary for me to say that. The course is generous off the tee and very challenging for all handicaps. I've played the Cholla Course and that course has a few more eye-candy holes, or more memorable features on holes but I really like how the Saguaro meanders out and comes back in. Loved the service in the pro shop and especially in the grill room. Nice and very friendly. Best 36 hole complex around, wish it was closer to Phoenix.

Played today and what a glorious day it was. Staff, golf course, fairways, rough, greens, bunkers all outstanding. Wind and heat have hardened the greens, making them fast and not so accepting of approach shots. Wind was down today so very lucky indeed. Goose, as always, never disappoints.
