played Tue 11/13 overall conditions were very good. Greens were very firm and didn't hold; very quick (I used the excuse that the wind moved my putt a couple of times, on missed short putts). Wind was strong from the East, which made some of the toughest holes easier, and the others "different". Over-all always a challenge and very enjoyable; well worth the fee.

11/08/12: First off the price is very good and the course is enjoyable for the cost. Started at about 11:00am; pace of play was very good, finished in about 4 hours. The Tees were the biggest negative they were very uneven and on some you could not find a level spot. Fairways had good grass coverage but needed to be mowed, couldn’t determine rough from fairway on some holes and very little run out. Bunkers were good to very good, consistent and well maintained. The turf grass around the greens (and much of the fairways) is “Kikuyu” and was inconsistent in “depth”. Greens were well recovered from aeration. Pitch marks were not an issue, most had been repaired. The greens had not been mowed this day (many days?), and had spots where the rabbits had eaten them into a “corduroy” finish, the greens were quite slow and if you putted through these areas the ball would not hold a line.

A "target" course. If your off line on ANY shot you may pay for it. A short course that plays much shorter on some holes because of down hill and down wind holes; you could play without a driver(three of the uphill holes are par 5's). The greens are very large with significant undulation and no prevailing break , if you miss in the wrong spot (particularly above the hole) you need to be very good or very lucky to avoid an embarrassing number. Callippe was a lot of fun and worth the price; don't be too serious the first time you see it.

Nov 3. Course is in overall great shape. Green were receptive, and still fairly quick. Fairways were excellent when I saw them. Only negative, played in over 4.5 hours; we were behind a group of ladies who haven't discovered the conceded putt. We watched one of them, 5 putt from no more than 20 ft.

No grass in the fairways; this is great if your short off the tee, because you'll get significant roll. Then the problem is the lie will be on dirt or thin mud. They "painted" the fairway areas green, it probably doubled the thickness of the grass!!!

The course is in as good a condition as I have ever seen it. I've played here occasionally for 25 years. A very straight forward course with limited hazards. Greens were very good; just remember there are no hills! Greens do not "break" as much as you'd expect.

Still a "new" course; hard and thin fairways, with very thin grass in spots some bare spots. The greens are firm except for a couple where I backed up shots. When you miss the green the mounding has no "soil" and very poor coverage, and the collection areas were very muddy, and thin turf. Don't expect much and its worth the $30 fee. Played in well under 4 hours

8/28 The course was in great shape, a few bare spots in the rough. Yardage indications on sprinkler heads were often wrong! Sprinklers had been moved without removing yardages. A yardage book is a good investment. There is a lot of "home" construction ongoing and the homes are not an "attractive" addition to the course, its lost a lot of it's charm.
