Played 3/10 and the fairways looked improved, greener than normal with some nice roll. Greens were in good shape. Overall, the course is a little rough around the edges and could use some TLC on cart paths. For the money, it is OK however.

Played 11/27 and took 5 1/2 hours to play, typical LV day. I have not played here for 18 months so was happy to see the work taking place to improve the course on the back nine. I found the front right bunker on 13 so I could test the sand. Kudos to the staff for this new sand. It is very fair and for good golfers, very playable, not penal. The rough looked healthy, nice and green. Hope to see new sand in the front nine bunkers the next time I play there.

Played 11/3 and enjoyed the low cost of greenies and the speed and quality of the greens. This was my first time and I would definitely come back to Oceanside.

Played 8/5 1PM Shotgun start at Destroyer. I had not played here in five years. No Valley View exit off the 405N so we had to re-route our directions. Fairways and greens were in good shape overall considering its summer. No cart girl so had to wait to quench my thirst. We will play here again.

Played 8/3, hole 16 green was chewed up by birds or boys. Many bare spots in the fairways. Most holes non-descript but greens fees priced right.

It was my first time playing the Babe yesterday. Great weather and an even better conditioned golf course greeted our group. Got around in 5:20 on Sunday. I loved the condition of the fairways and greens! As echoed by many here, the tee shots on some par fours are visually intimidating so your swing has to be on song or you face a long day of lost balls. My favorite hole has to be the first par 5 on the back nine. It is a three shot approach to a very difficult multi-tiered deep green that falls off the back. I got crushed, scoring 10 strokes higher than normal as did most in the eight foursomes who went out. Now that I know the course, I feel better prepared to play the next time.

Six hours to play a round of golf is beyond comprehension! Los Verdes is faster. I like the course but cannot fathom why the first five holes take forever to play before pace of play picks up. I did not see a marshall on the course so Lakewood must be OK with this.

I found myself always taking one more club than the yardage off the sprinklers given the cool weather and damp fairways. The greens are better than the last time I played. Some of the tee shots on the tight fairways do not fit my eye. Chipping is also an adventure with the kikuya grass.

Best hot dog in all of SoCal muni golf!

Played 10/29 and felt the greens were in great shape and the speed was good. Fairways were overwatered in spots to the point that tee shots stuck in the fairway. I enjoyed the course plus its a good challenge, especially when the wind blows.

Played 9/1 for the first time. Greens seemed to be slow but receptive to shots. Grass surrounding the green was lush and sticky. Fairways were bare in spots and tee boxes had same issue. One nice feature at the clubhouse is you can drive up between the ninth and tenth holes and get you food and drinks without having to run inside.

For the money, it is OK.

Played Oasis and Canyon on 7/23 for the first time. Nice course in good shape. Distance from the tips is 6300 yds., so it is wedge play at a premium. Played in just over four hours so pace of play was fine. No restaurant open at the turn, not good.

Played Players course 5/22 after playing Celebrity the day prior. I like the Players course better but both courses have the same putting surface issue making putts more difficult than I want or need. The resort and the courses are first rate. Customer service is priority one at Indian Wells and guests are accorded the same treatment as members. I would rate it a 9.5 with the only drawback being the greens.
