Played on may 31st (birthday round). I love this course. If it was about 30 miles closer I would play here often. First one to tee off Friday morning. Had to finish the round in 1 hour and 45 mins due to a big tournament beginning at 8 am. Finish the round in 1 hr and 15 mins. Conditions of the course is good to great. Couldn't tell you if the greens were really fast due to alot of moisture on the greens in the morning. I did see lots of unrepaired divot damage on some greens. If you like playing Rustic Canyon you'll love Soule Park since its designed by the same designer.

Just cameback from playing Rhodes ranch this afternoon and thought the course was great. Customer service is a A+ in my books from bag drop, pro shop and starter. Green fee include range balls, cart, a meal and 2 beers. This course is well manicured with greens running kinda slow. Layout played really short today due to most holes running down wind. I had driver and short iron on two par 5's. Will definetly comeback and play here again

I have a love hate relationship with this course. Played super twilight yesterday 5-5 and it was horrible. The starters at this course are clueless at getting people out due to tee times booked online, phone calls, and people on the both waiting list. I have made numerous tee times online for the first tee time for super twilight and was always the 2nd or third group out. I would always get to the course 30 mins to a hour earlier and hear the starter call people off the waiting list before they call my name. Once your on the course slow play is the norm here on the weekends. The group in front of us was a hole behind after hole 1,2 holes behind after the 3rd hole. No Marshall around to speed up play( Marshall's don't do anything here anyways). My twosome ended up leaving course 1 and start course 2 at number 1 hole. Ended up playing 4 holes on course 1 in two hours and 14 holes on course 2 in less than 2 hrs.
Now the good part of the course. Course is usually in good municipal shape that has a good layout on both course 1 and course 2. Course 1 is long with generous fairways and big greens and course 2 is shorter with tighter fairways and more undulating greens. Green fees are quite expensive (IMO) for regular tee times but I think it's a great deal to play super twilight(4 1/2 hrs before dark). Not sure what's happening on some holes (mainly hole 1, but seen on other holes) due to big patches of sod or grass that's being removed from the fairways. Greens are fully recovered from aeration.

Played today 4-20 afternoon. Tee time was for 2 pm but ended up teeing off at 220. Finish the first hole in about 15 mins and ended up waiting on the 2nd hole for 45 mins to hit our tee shot. Played the front nine in 3 hrs plus. Love the layout of the course and its usually in decent shape, but I won't be playing here on the weekends anymore. It's ridiculous how the starter just pack in all the players at start. When you go to other course, you pay, then wait for one group on the tee. Not here. You pay then wait 5-6 groups on the tee. We ended up finishing 18 holes playing 17-18 holes in the dark.

Played today 3-14 afternoon twilight. Not a course I really like, but conditions were pretty good. Greens were good with decent speed to them, Fairways are nicely mowed and pace of play today was under 4 hours. Tee boxes are sometimes chew up but that's understandable for a muni.

Played today 4-5 afternoon. Course is in great shape. Fairways nice and manicured, greens smooth and medium fast and bunkers has nice firm sand in them. It's been about a year since I last played here and saw that they added the 100, 150, 200 yardage sticks in the middle of the fairways. Made it easier to aim at, but to me it's kind of a eye sore. With many of the courses being aerated, this is the course to play at. Anyways, today is my 10 year anniversary since i join greenskeeper.org. Crazy! :)

Play today 4-4 morning. First time playing this little executive course. Had a fun time. Course has 3 par 4's and 6 par 3's. Hit the green on 1 on holes 4 and 8, but missed both eagle putts. Conditions are typical muni with slow greens. Wasn't in one bunker, but they look in good shape. Great place for beginners to play 9 holes.

Played today 3-30 early morning. Took advantage of the Southern California resident aeration green fee 60 plus 16 dollars for cart. Course conditions is decent but not as great the last two times I've played there. Greens was aerated about 2-3 weeks ago and need about 2 more weeks for complete healing. Took my friend there for the first time and he thought the conditions of the course was like a typical muni in Los Angeles. Course is still one of my favorites

Went out today 3-24 afternoon. Haven't played this course for about 7-8 years. Thought the course conditions was pretty good. Little aeration on the right side of the green on hole 2, but rest of the course is good. Pace of play was about 4 hours which is awesome for a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

Played today 3-23 afternoon after watching the Kia classic at aviara. Haven't play here for more than 10 years and was excited on coming back. Was little upset with the condition of the course but the layout is fun. Fairways were patchy, bunkers were inconsistent, and tee boxes were uneven. Got out as a single and passed a fivesomes and a foursome to join a twosome. Finish the round in about 3 and half hours with plenty of light to spare.

Second time at the resort, but first time playing the par 3 course. The website states this is the 2nd best par 3 course in the country, and i would agree. Not sure which course is number 1 (maybe augusta par 3 course) but this ones a gem. Not a difficult course, but the views are outstanding. Panoramic views of the ocean, catalina and the resort of Terranea. Length of the holes were about 110 yards to 175 yards with bunkers guarding each green. Probably the best bunkers i played in the past few years. Greens were in good shape with good speed to them. Not sure i would pay the full rack rate, but i've seen many deals online for this course. Great resort to have a bite to eat and walk around.

Played on Saturday feb 23rd early morning. Greens are in great shape with good speed to them. I ended up 3 putting 5-6 times due to approach shots being above the hole or having putts that were on the wrong tier. Ocean break is also the cause of my putting miscues. Bunkers are in great shape except holes 11-13, which is basically hard mud. Fairways were in decent shape but did have more divots in them than the previous 2-3 times I played here. Not a big fan of the fore caddies but they do have some interesting stories about the area. You could see the founder of hot pockets mansion on hole 15 tee box. Fun course with great views of the ocean but not sure it's worth the green fee. But if someone else is paying for it, worth it
