Played for the first time on Sat 11-21. Had read a lot of good reviews. I was very disappointed at the conditions of the course and the 5 3/4 hour round, starting time 9:30. First lets start with the conditions. Fairways wet and muddy, had to move my ball on maybe 12 fairways. Greens were in very poor condition, including many unrepaired ballmarks. Tee boxes ok, no problem there. Overall a very well laid out course, very challenging from tee to green, but obvious poor course conditions along with a very long day, adds up not playing here until they correct these problems.

Played on Sunday, using the 2 for 1 coupon. Cannot say enough good things about this course. First of all this is a private club just recently opened to the public due to bank issues. Don't really know how much longer they will be available for public play, but if your in the area, take advantage of this course now. First rate clubhouse, restaurant, grass driving range, basically just what you would expect from a country club. It's a little out of the way if you live in L.A. or the Valley areas. But for inland empire or the OC, not too bad a drive. Now the course. What can I say that hasn't been said by the other 2 reviewers. This course is only 7 years old, but seems like it has been around for 20 or 30 years. Very mature trees and landscaping. I found the undulations in the greens caused a few 3 puts. And the traps. although they looked great, did not have enough sand in them. We played from the white tees, only because that's what I do when I play a new course, and with only 2 of us playing, really didn't have a feel for where to hit the ball on a few holes. Next time I play here, and I hope there is a next time, I plan to play from the Blues. Overall a very challenging Golf Course, And one more tip, Don't be above the hole.

Played Sunday 11:15. Have played here many times, don't really mind the drive, because the course is so good. Had breakfast in the new restaurant upstairs in the clubhouse. Food was good as always. Played in 3:45 despite waiting on almost every hole on the back nine. Playing conditions were as good as it gets, feels like your playing at a well maintained country club. very challenging for most mid to high handicapers. Can understand why the Nationwide tour is coming later in the year. It will be interesting to see how they do from the Tips.

Was up in the area for the weekend. Got a chance to play Monarch Dunes the day before. These two courses are about as different as night and day. From the TeeBoxes to the Greens and the fairways, the course is in almost perfect condition for this time of year. I know this course was designed by Peter Jacobson about 10 years ago. but it has the look and feel of the Ojai Valley Inn. for sure a must play if you are in the area.

Played on 3-14. was very impressed by the overall playing conditions and aesthetics of the course. very much a Links style course, with trouble if you miss the fairway. would highly recommend to anyone who doesn't mind the 3 hour drive from the L.A. area. Got a really good deal From the Golf Central Coast Website.
