Played here on 9/25. I would compare this course to Torrey Pines with much better conditions. The scenery is spectacular with a lot of holes with an ocean view. Still no GPS in carts.

Favor the right side off the tee and avoid the tree lined left side. On the approach shot, make sure you hit enough club, severely up hill. You also often cannot tell how much wind there actually is from down in the valley where most drives end up. So make sure when you look over the hill for your line on the usually blind 2nd shot you also factor in the added effect of the wind.

Wind usually in the golfers face and/or off the ocean. If you are in between clubs, probably go with the longer club. I see many more people short here than reaching the green and hardly ever see anyone long.
