It's been almost a month since I last played the South Course, because I had been playing the North due to the fact that course will close effective 6/12/19 for 6-8 weeks for fairway renovation. It was nice to get get out even on this drizzly morning. (Hey, it's June in Southern California, it is not supposed to rain)

Course is in very nice shape, green, lush, greens rolled well, still fairly quick even though I was ahead of the mowers. Fairways tight, but good. Bunkers excellent.

Not much play this morning? I guess the drizzle kept all the golfers away! Works for me.

First time I have been able to play the South course in over three weeks because they have rebuilt the green surrounds on all 18 holes. There have been 6-8 holes, or temporary greens for weeks, so nice to return and play 18 open holes. They did a nice job and everything looks very good.

Greens rolled well, fairly quick, fairway are lush, many of the areas of the rough which were questionable have also been addressed. Bunkers are excellent as always. A few tee boxes could use some attention, but overall they're fine.

Nice to have two courses again to choose from. With only one available over the past few weeks, it tended to get rather crowded. Now I'm waiting until they close the North Course in mid June for 6-8 weeks to redo the fairways/rough. Oh Brother, what a circus that will be.

Out super early to beat a 9 o'clock shotgun by the ladies. As I was ahead of maintenance, I had no mowed greens, so they were not very quick. Rolled OK, but slower than I am accustomed too. Fairways good, plenty of grass. Bunkers still the best part of the course. A few issues remain with the rough however. They just repaired a number of the cart paths, so there are areas surrounding those areas which need attention, but that's to be expected. Otherwise the course is in decent, but not great shape.

Between the frost and flooding the crossovers, this course has been closed a lot of days over the past 5-6 weeks, so it's nice to be able to now play both courses again.

After a week on being closed due to either frost or the cross-overs being flooded, finally able to get back out on the South course. The course itself suffered no ill effects from the recent storms, so conditions were good. Greens rolled well, receptive and reasonably quick. Tee boxes still need some attention as do many areas of the rough, which I'm told will be addressed within the next 60 days

Very little play due to the cold weather. Incredible that neither course has implemented carts on path restrictions ? However I suspect with the forecast of heavy rain this week, the course sill be closed again. (Frustrating that the course drains great, it's just the cross-overs to get from hole to hole become impassable.

The greens probably rolled as well as I have ever seen them since the course opened in 1995 (A week of no play will do that ) Bunkers, like the North are near perfect. Rebuilding all the bunkers last year turned what was always the worst feature of this course into one of the best features

Course was not very busy, I guess carts on path causes a lot of people to stay away. Looking forward to some nice sunny warm weather to dry things out so that I can get some roll again in the fairways

With the forecast of very cold temperatures for the remainder of the week, and knowing how quickly Coto calls frost delays, decided to brave the rain and play Christmas morning, Needless to say there was nobody at the course. Other than battling the rain, it was a beautiful morning.

Greens are very nice, rolled well and were still quick, even with the rain. Fairways not as lush as they've been, and the rough was too many "clumpy" areas. The tee boxes are not good, in fact several have been closed to re-sod. Bunkers still the best part of the course.

There are still some areas in the fairways which show damage from cart traffic, which was the result of allowing carts off the path too soon after the last rains. Rumor is that GPS will be added to the carts in the first quarter of 2019, ( The type which shut the cart down if in a restricted area) I hope that is what is added to the carts, as there is far too much abuse of the carts with respect to signage.

Fearing that this place would be packed with golfers, while the "Housewives of Orange County" did their after Thanksgiving shopping, I went super early, but to my surprise and delight, NOT BUSY ?

The rain yesterday really made things a lot greener, and just overall made the course look nicer. Greens rolled very well, fairly quick, fairways have good coverage, bunkers are as usual excellent. Still a few tee boxes which could use some attention, but for the most part, no problem.

With such little rain over the past months, course was looking a bit dormant, but the rain helped a lot. Plus with cold weather expected next week, maybe the moisture will reduce the frost exposure?

Kudo's to our new superintendent. It has been just one week since the greens were aerated and they are nearly completely healed. A little slower than usual, but they rolled true and had decent speed. Fairways are in nice shape, bunkers perfect, rough still has a few issues but playable. Tee boxes are still a mixed bag, some need attention !

Overall the course is playing well, new watering policy has allowed some of the normal wet areas to finally become dry. Nice !
