Played Thurs 8/5 at 7 a.m. course in perfect condition. Bunkers have bright white sand. fairways are deep green color. water is blue. flowers and brush areas are perfectly manicured. Tee boxes are smoother than most L.A. courses greens. only knock is the green speed is not as fast as I would like, but that is the way all the desert courses seem to be in the summer. I can't imagine how hard the greens would play in the winter when they can cut them short. there are many undulations on the greens and you would have to hit the correct side of the green to score well. still the greens rolled smooth. check out the indian burial ground on hole #4. never seen that before. Nine hole putting green course is fun. This is a must play if your a golf nut.

i live here and have played nearly all of the courses in the coachella valley. this course and the players course are the premier public courses in the area. pga west is overrated. this course and the players course are simply fantastic. the classic club rivals these two but make sure to play it when it's not windy.

beautiful, fun, fair yet challenging course. amazing how they completely revamped this place yet left all of the existing mature trees. feels like a new course with mature trees and quite exquisite landscape pallette.

play both of this courses and don't even think twice about the pga west hype.

Six of us played Tuesday morning. To put it simply, we were stunned by the beauty of this course. The landscaping of flowers, trees, shrubs is immaculate. Fairways are green and carpet like. Many water features of streams, falls and ponds make it challenging and visually enticing. Several players made the comment that this is the most beautiful course they have ever played. Sometimes one forgets that we are supposed to play the course, instead of admiring it. Better than Desert Willow Mountain View, which we played the day before. A must play.

Fairways are cut back and running long, greens soft, holding, but a little bumpy from ball marks and foot traffic. Sand superb, rough lush, and all tees great shape. A real thinking course with approach shots and good greens design. Use Johnny GK playing tips and website flyovers for planning. Lots of fun!! golfnow.com eclub $59. Great course, great facility. Paid $89 thru golfnow for noon tee time, totally worth it. Locker room is first-class, practice putting greens were great. Good layout, interesting greens. Thought the course played a little shorter due to the nice bounce/rolls you get on the fairway.
