Played 18 May in the morning behind a tournament. Felt slow, but my 4-some finished in 4.5 hours. Course is in great shape. A couple of greens had some track marks possibly from mowing that effected the roll. Fortunately, this was only on two greens. Always very friendly and helpful staff.

first venture to california to play golf and i was not disappointed. played redhawk on 5/15. the course was in great shape. interesting layout not as hard a course as i was lead to believe very playable for my 16 handicap. pace of play was great compared to vegas golf we played as 3some and played 27 holes in a little over 4 hrs!!! loved the par 3's here good use of elevation drops. wil definitely make trip back to this course to play again.

What a treat. Played a fundraiser scramble today and it was my virgin trip around Redhawk. Definitely a must to have someone that is familiar with the course going with you, as there are some blind shots and elevation changes that can play havoc on your swing. Course was in fantastic shape and the scenery was gorgeous. The bridge leading to the 8th? island par 3 is nice, almost like a Swilcan bridge or Hogans at Augusta. The staff was great, the practice area is nice and the beer was cold at the Cantina. Compared to some of the similar priced courses and even some of the pricier ones, Redhawk is a real treat.

Played on 4/19 and the weather was perfect and the course was not far behind that perfection. I had not played here for almost 2 years because the course conditioning was getting pretty bad. I am glad to say the course conditioning is now excellent. For awhile the course was getting kinda of beat up, maybe due to all the construction in the area, but the trend has been reversed. The fairways were very lush, and not water logged like they used to be; I can remember playing heck to find a place to get relief from 'casual water'. Even in the summer the fairways were always too wet, not anymore. The greens are looking and putting great, though they are not as receptive to approach shots as you would think. I play a Pro V1 and it had trouble staying below the hole even with a pinched wedge. For me the only drawback is all the recent housing development. Redhawk is getting more like one of those desert courses built inside of condos. Still some great vistas, but the feel of the place, which used to be like Cross Creek has definitely been buried under all the housing. The course is still one of the two best, in my opinion, in the Temecula area. Cross Creek is number one just because of its fantastic setting. Redhawk is tough; difficult driving holes, juicy rough, quick udulating greens; but a definite must play. Check Southland Golf magazine for a $20.00 discount coupon.

Played this morning and we were the first group off. The greens were smooth and quite quick. The fairways were quite firm and sometimes even kind of hard. It looked as if the fairways hadn't been watered in quite a while. Maybe this is a reaction to the drainage problems after the rain(s). The bunkers were in good shape and the rough was lush. Overall, this is a wonderful track and I always make a point to play here at least once or twice a year. They are currently running an ad in Southern California Golf magazine with a coupon for $20 off anytime. Funny enough, I forgot to bring my magazine with me to get the discount, and they had a bunch of them in the proshop. Go figure.

I played on Thursday, and they were still recovering from the heavy rain on Tuesday. They had us skip the second and third holes, then go back and play them after the seventeenth so they could clean up some of the water damage. No problem.
The course is in fine shape. The greens are tricky, but really fun. I played with some higher handicappers, so we played the whites and that was PLENTY of fun for me. I wouldn't want middle irons into most of those greens.
I hadn't been out that way in a while, and I swear to God they've built four million houses out there.

Played Redhawk Feb 20, President's day. The course was not super busy for a holiday, and it was a fun day of golf.
First and foremost, Redhawk is an extremely TOUGH golf course. Do yourself a favor and play the appropriate tees for your skill level. It's not fun to watch your partners lose balls on every hole.
As for the course conditions, I would rate Redhawk a solid "8". Tee to green, the course was in very good shape. The sand traps were well kept with soft, but not too soft, sand. The greens were beautiful! Very few divots to be found, and iron shots stuck nicely.
I highly recomment Redhawk as a must play. Look for discounted rounds during the week. You shouldn't have to pay more than 40.00, and you'll probably be in a two or threesome.
