Course was in fine shape and often does have greens that roll fairly fast. The wind is the biggest unknown that can dramatically change your approach on many different holes. Narrower holes that might require a long iron, fairway wood off the tee to avoid hazards and OB often play right into the wind in the afternoon. Can't beat their Grill Room.

Played on the 20th and 22nd of April. Course is in great shape and easy to get on. You have to be careful to stay in the fairways as trouble lurks on most holes. Wind in the afternoon can be a big problem on the back 9 as I found on the 20th.
Now is a great time to play with the course in fine shape, few other players (at least during the week), and fine customer service. Staying in Solvang and playing golf - That's living!

Played this golf course on the way back from the Monterey Peninsula on the 101 freeway.
What a gem!! They are having a special rate right now through May. $39 for anyday of the week without cart and $15 for one. So its $54 total. Very affordable. First of all, driving towards the golf course was very unique because Solvang is famous for its Danish Village. There were many gift shops and restaurants along the sides. The golf course was in good shape. Not overly difficult, but when the wind picks up, club selection gets tricky. Not many trees line the fairway so it is pretty wide open on certain tee shots. On this golf course, you get more than what you pay for. Weather was perfect too.

played on October 3. I didn't expect alot from this course but boy was I in for a treat. Teed off at 8:10. finished in about 4 hours... just enough time for great lunch at the grill and back out for another 18. Course in absoultly in perfect setting and condition. will be back soon.

Played the course on Friday, Sept 19. 11am tee time. Walked and finished in a little over 3 hours. Course was in very good condition. Greens were pretty straightforward. No silly breaks or buried box cars. As usual, the wind came up in the afternoon and made a few holes coming in play a club or two longer. Lack of significant rough made recovery shots easy. Overall, a nice course for the price.
