I enjoy playing new courses as much as possible and will golf anywhere. I like the challenge of tough courses, meeting new people, sunsets, holding hands, long walks on the beach...

Got out in the fourth group of the outing today. Great company, fantastic course, and a solid rate from Johnny and CC. I had a little time to use the wonderful practice facility: all grass range, large practice putting green, and chipping green. Classic Club is the SH!T! Great conditions from tee to green!
Greens were okay, but it is summer in the desert and Bermudagrass is somewhat slower and grainy.
Fairways were very good. Lots of roll out and good lies everywhere.
Rough was thick and lush.
Bunker sand was in good condition and easy to hit from.
The snack bar was very good as well.
Good times were had by everyone as far as I could tell.
Thank you, Johnny GK and Classic Club! » Close Played here today with my monthly group, shout out to Casey's Tournament Players Club. I played here once, about 10 years ago. I did not remember all the undulating fairways. The fairways were mostly in good shape and had really lush kikuyu grass. So lush that I managed to chili dip three shots on a single hole after a good drive. Oh well, I guess I'm not that good yet. There were a lot of Ground Under Repair areas on the front nine. It appears that there is some revegetation or other landscape construction going on several holes. It did get better on the back nine.
The greens were very soft and there were lots of unrepaired ball marks. By the size of the practice putting green, I guess the course sees a lot of play. Fixing ball marks doesn't seem the be a common practice here.
Fairways and rough were mostly good. Some areas of the rough had some very deep grass, but for the most part your ball would sit up.
Bunker sand was mostly wet and kind of thin.
We played the Blue Tees and most were in good shape.
Pace of play was about 4.5 hours.
I did not get anything from the club house, but my playing partner bought a single 25 oz. domestic beer for $12. » Close I played here last Friday, September 5, 2025, teeing off at about 1:30 PM with my brother. POP about 4 hours. The routing was Oasis to Sky. It was my first time here. At first I was concerned about the water on almost every hole with forced carries either on your tee shot or approach; however, it was relatively benign. I only lost 3 balls.
Greens were consistent; medium speed, slightly grainy (Bermudagrass), and not a lot of break. They were somewhat firm and I only fixed a couple of ball marks all day.
Fairways were great. Lots of roll out on most shots. Good coverage of turf and great lies all day.
Rough was deep in spots and challenging to judge the way the ball would react. No bare ground for the most part, except in some of the areas where carts drive through.
Tees (we played the White tees) were consistently level and had good coverage of turf.
Bunkers were fairly nice and easy to play from. Good quality sand and lacking footprints. Fairway bunkers were on the firm side, making it easy to get decent distance.
It was a nice afternoon of golf and the price was good. » Close Played today, September 2, 2025, Mountain/Desert routing. The Mountain Course is not in great condition. The tees were in poor condition, with the Black and Blue tees pushed back and the White and Gold tees moved forward. The unused tee boxes were not under any kind of maintenance. The fairways were okay. The rough was a mixed bag of shaggy (mowed) grass or bare ground. The greens were mostly bad; slow, bumpy, with bare areas on many greens. The Desert Course was in better condition. Like the Mountain nine, the tees were consolidated and not well maintained. The greens were much better on this nine. Looks like they just mowed them before we played. They were on the slower side though. The bunkers were in good condition around the greens; There were footprints in many of them. Overall, I wished I golfed somewhere else. » Close
