Played first time here 10/27/07at noon.Still finding ashes of disastrous fire of socal all over the course. Not yet finished clubhouse(even started) but once at playing course you really surprise with challenging layout you encounter. From last year passing freeway 15 I saw the new course coming just thinking it's gonna be flat & plain course but with elevation changes, tight fairways & lagos coming into play makes real tough front 9 holes and back 9 more relaxing wide open. Especially greens got good smooth speeed tending to roll toward freeway(or mountain break?) but it's thin surface of grass are very damageble with ballmarks if not fixed on time and when you fix with divot tool you can feel you're touching second surface of small rocks.
Overall giving more time when course mature little bit more gonna be monster course.

Played 10/21/07 first early sunday morning tee time as tournament member exactly 1 year after from last time I played here.Very acceptable conditions in general especially fairways like carpet without many divot damages.Free drops both sides of fairways makes you easy to score but you have to manage strong winds against you.Better experience than last year cause this was second time to play here.

Played oct.13 saturday at afternoon.Reserved at 12;50 we arrived at 12;30 encountering pack of people waiting outside of pro-shop .We asked to check in but tee time of 12;00 didn't go out yet cause shot gun group of 7;00 a.m.not finished till that time.Always something happens here but now they has a couple of marshalls with good sense of humor & kindness (even delivered to us sandwiches while we were playing when we asked for cart girl) .Finally we teed off starting at 5th hole as shot gun method ,the course was wide open. All greens healed well from aeration except #7 & fairways in good shape.

Played saturday 10/6/07 afternoon.Short of carts delayed our tee time about 15 minutes waiting carts coming from 18 th hole.Aerated greens almost healing to get normal conditions and so many ball marks unrepaired shows all over the greens that I repaired at least 1-3 of each greens.Especially these thin kind surface greens are more damageable than thick ones.Fairways & roughs are in decent to good conditions but almost every tee boxes little bit beated up even you can feel with your steps.Pace of play ;5hours 30minutes we barely finished in the dark.$65.00 of green fee only justify their GPS attached on the carts.

Played 9/30 sunday at noon. After rain this course changed automatically the layout with water(river) in play.Lightly aerated greens will take little time to get good condition of greens as usual.Pace of play was good.

Played sat.9/15/07 as a tournament player.Long trip to get here either from my home(cerritos) or from my company(downtown los angeles). After all once you at PGA welcome coming from each side.Friendly staff ,nice course condition from clubhouse to greens.Tee boxes & fairways in their adequate length & quality but some areas too soggy leaving tire marks.Greens little bit hard for me but rolling true. Now the issue is quality of sands in bunkers where I was in 2 times.I prefer call more dirt than sands.Anyway overall very good conditions.
One sad thing is seeing all paralyzed construction of surrounded housing, some even started & some finished but empty give the sensation of actual hard economy situation especially real estate area.

Played sunday morning 9/9/07 after considerable time not reminding this course cause of bad experience of last visit but this time was totally different & satisfied as usual.Always I'm telling this course's greens are better than other O.C 's expensive courses & today I surprised of very good & lush conditions of most fairways too.Usual condition of fairways depends on the river (flood quantity?) I guess but this time all water dried out so consequently played like hazard.
Pace of play was good too, about less than 5 hours .
It's very nice to see coming back to good conditions.

Played laborday weekend sunday early morning for the 1st time.Obviously we're not resident of palm springs only visit when is long weekend to spend good time as semi-vacation.First of all is unbelievable how could maintain this excellent conditions with 100 + more degrees of summer temperature. That day was really hot also reaching 110 degrees with humidity from ground.Prestine conditions of fairways & greens(bit slow).Tipycal country club course holes passing between house & house.Really well maintained course.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plaed saturday afternoon8/25/07.Reserved at 1;48 teed off at 2;00 not bad huh? Actually same good conditions for muni course as last time now with 1 temporary green #3 par 4 shortened about 40yards that we didn't know, one buddy's drive shot stopped at the edge of green.Today's pace of play was about 5 hours almost impposible to finish usually at this course. As always cool breeze help to have one's good round .
Today I SHOT 9.

Played 8/18/07 sat.at noon as a tournament member.Genarally in good conditions being busy muni course.Today's pace of play was very good (cause of actual hot weather?) playing smoothly without waiting each shot usually you expect here.Comparing actual conditions of Socal courses this is right now one of the best but not reaching highest condition ever had.I remember the greens were faster & smoother than today because el dorado's greens are strong favor fact of the course. The fairways was good also tee boxes but with some muddy wet spots I found.
Overall nice track.

Played sunday noon 3 groups of 12 somes.Definitely not in shape they used to be.Almost fairways dry, thin & dirty with different kind of grass.Easy to get tee times especially your group is big but this time pretty disappointed about condition generally.Stronger of El Prado always was their greens but this time was pretty slow speed than expected and used to be.
More water please !!!!!
