Played 9/3 in am - $12 (with cart) booked through golfnow.

Can't complain about anything for 18 holes at that price. Nobody there today. 2hr round. Arrived and sent right out, no waiting. Course is in ok / good summer shape. Boxes are level but some are burnt out. Same with fairways. Greens are good, showing some signs of punching, but acceptable. Traps are hard packed. Very quiet - no homes or freeways .. just nature!

Saw another single in front of me, but he moved right along. I just kicked around, hit two balls, tried different tee boxes. Not windy at all as previous reviews warned, although I was done by 11:30 am. Temp was about 100 degrees.

Clubhouse and facilities seem to be running on skeleton staff. Looks like this may have been a really nice place back when it opened.

No cart girl or starter. Couple of coolers on course so come prepared with your own water. I liked this course and would play it more if it was closer .... if you are in the area and can score a low rate, go for it. Great value if under $40. Anything over that you could probably find something better in the area.

$37 golfnow rate for mid-day Sunday. Checked in at clubhouse and was told to go out when ready. No Starter, although the Marshal came by on hole three and paired us with two other guys behind us.

Greens are poor / burned out on the first six or seven holes, then they start to get better. Fairways are good. Traps are hard packed. Tee boxes a little below average. Water on a couple of holes, nothing major. Wide, tree lined fairways - hit straight and there won't be too many problems. Pretty basic design.

4.5 hr round. Could have been shorter but everyone in our foursome was hacking it up. VERY WINDY for about an hour on the front nine - flags bending and balls moving on the greens WINDY. Trains rumbled by, blasting their horns on a couple of holes.

Course is an ok value for the $37 weekend rate I paid. I wouldn't pay more for this course. If you get a cheap rate, I guess it will do in a pinch. It didn't seem that busy. Many other courses I would choose before it, so I probably won't be back.

Played Stadium 9/13 in the am @$69 rate which includes a free replay round here or at Norman. Had lunch in the bar then headed right back out.

Little easier than Stadium, but not much. Very challenging. Greens are still recovering from punching so they ran pretty slow, but true. Pace of play was 3.5 hrs.

I moved up to the white tees and played a bit better, but for my 15 handicap, this course was still a "bear".

Overall a great day - 36 holes for $69 bucks - what a deal. No complaints. Everything is in great condition, tees to greens. Wish I played better. This a no-brainer recommend.

Played two rounds 9/13 early am with a co-worker. We made the drive out in two hours, no traffic. $69 rate with a free replay of either Norman or Nicklaus - so $35 for two rounds at this facility, well worth it.

Temps were hot, but not overbearing - around 100 degrees. Plenty of water is available. And the Marshal gave out cold towels around the 14th hole.

Course is in great shape, customer service is good, food in bar was delicious.

Didn't play so well - I tried the combo blue / white tees. Too much for my 15 handicap. Hard, hard course. Pace was 3.5 hrs. No complaints, highly recommend.

Played Friday 8/9 mid-day. $14 golfnow rate. Well worth it considering I usually just play Penmar (nine holes) for same price. Similar to Westchester - 18 hole executive par 3 course with a few par 4s thrown in. Good place to work the wedges / short game.

Conditions are good - typical muni or American Golf - everything is acceptable except the tee boxes, which were rough, uneven in spots and chewed up. For $14 (with cart) I can't complain too much.

2.45 hour pace. Nice views, some stunning, of the city.

Never played this one because it's a slog across town with the traffic, but I'll be back for sure. Recommend.

Side note: We played the front 9 with a very sweet, elderly lady who had two prosthetic legs. Quite an inspiration on a sunny California day.

My friend and I played 7/31 - $30 w/cart rate from click4teetimes.

Arrived midday and sent out twenty minutes early. Pro shop guys and starter each efficient.

Paired with a walking single and we all blazed around in 3.5 hours. Conditions are good: fairways are above average, tee boxes level, greens are smooth and run true. Sand was a little hard packed but I got out of two of them and saved par on each hole. No drinking water / coolers or beverage cart spotted.

Looking for a stress free day, my buddy and I played the white, not blue tees. Perfect challenge for my handicap. Course has some nice holes, lots of doglegs and wide, flat fairways.

Only negative: The course is next to an airport and it was like "Apocalypse Now" with helicopters buzzing above us all round. Not a deal breaker buy any means, but they were very loud.

Overall, a great value and a "recommend". Will add to my rotation.

Bonus: I hit the sweet spot with traffic on the 405. Smooth sailing - 45 minutes down and back from Marina Del Rey.

Played 7/24. My buddy and I just showed up without a tee time (11am) and got sent right out. Paired with two other cool guys. Customer service was good.

Pace of play was 4.5 hours. Front nine was clogged up but back nine moved along.

Fairways are good / above average. Greens are pretty beat up. Sand and tee boxes are fair. Nice snack bar after hole ten, with a good variety of beer and food.

Would I go back? Yes, but I feel $45 with cart is a little too high for this muni on my budget.

Played Tuesday (6/11) mid morning with my buddy and we were paired with two cool guys. POP was 3.5 hours.

Greens are bumpy and chewed up. Fairways are good / above average muni condition. Sand was fluffy in the one trap I was in.

This course is a par 65 - lots of par threes with some short par fours and fives mixed in. Sits right next to the LAX runway, so not a quiet place by any means.

Not really my favorite or first choice, but for $23 (walking) and a sub four hour round in Los Angeles, it works.

Played twilight 5/23 - $23 w/cart. Pace not too bad, some waiting, but mostly kept moving. Finished 18 before dark.

Conditions were pretty sub par. Fairways are thin and brown, greens are bumpy mush, sand is hard packed concrete. Staff was pleasant.

Alondra is what it is - an average, city run course. Are there better muni choices? Sure, but when you are out with a friend and playing pretty good you kind of overlook all the negatives.

Never my first choice, but I'm not against playing here again.

Played 4/4 in am with co-worker. Asked upon arrival if we wanted to tee off right away, agreed and were paired with another single and another twosome. All nice guys, sent out 30 min early.

First time playing here. Shot 94 from the blues (20 handicap - I usually play white). Made some nice shots, flubbed some too. Perfect weather.

Conditions, for a public American Golf run course - greens, fairways, sand, tee boxes were all good / above average. $40 with cart, great value compared to what you get at Alondra, Woodley or Chester Washington for same price.

Pace of play was 4.5 hours - some of the guys were slow players, but we were pretty much keeping up.

Overall, a great day. I recommend this course, and will be back to play again soon.

* Temp green on the 3rd hole has a ridiculous "jumbo size" cup. The real green looks beautiful, why so long before opening it back up?

Played 3/20 in am with my father who had some Troon passes.

Nice practice area - range, putting and chipping, all are top notch.

Out right on time. 4hr round, nobody in front or behind us the whole day. Perfect lush fairways with loads of bunkers/sand. Perfect tee boxes.

109 total sand traps was what I was told, hence the name of the restaurant.

Excellent customer service - everyone from bagdrop to starter was happy and helpful. Great carts with new, accurate gps. Cart girl made plenty of passes. Perfect weather. Great clubhouse.

Troon, please come to CA and start running golf courses in Los Angeles. Highly recommend!

Played here last week with my father who lives on course and is a member. $20 @ 2:30pm with his guest pass. What a deal! This course is in great shape. Everything is immaculate. Nobody in front or behind us all round. It's about an hour south of Phoenix, but worth the trip. 17th hole is an island green that is a blast. Check this course out, you won't be disappointed. Great value.
