Looking for a quick early am round. The staff was very accommodating, however I got there at 5:40am and people were already teeing off #1. (Sunrise is 6:46am) It was pitch black out!) Lucky for me they offered to let me get ahead of them and since #1 is illuminated by the driving range lights, it was almost possible to play the hole. The course is in nice condition considering everything.

Well worth the price. Great staff. Play is slow.

Played 11/26/05, was the only place I could get a tee time because I booked late for a Holiday weekend. Condition of course was OK, considering it's a Muni. I play other courses in this $ range that are better though. Pace of play was horrible, 2:45 for 9 holes! I expected to see SOME level of the Marshalls attempting to manage pace of play... didn't see a single Marshall all day! Pace of play was so bad, I went back to hole #1 thru 5(which was wide open) after taking 35 minutes to play hole #10. I was running out of daylight so left after playing 15 holes.

Played 11-24; The greens are coming back nicely here. As usual the round was very slow, however, I knew that from playing here before. For such a good price you take some things in stride (i.e. I saw 2 dogs running around the course, the hackers playing ahead of us, and traffic running alongside the course). I still had a great round, the conditions were good and the starters even better.

As previously stated...wide fairways, easy par 5's, and great greens for a muni.

I played other munis and there's one thing Willowick has; great customer service with Mike and Ken.

Unfortunately their very affordable greens fees attracts many hackers. Don't expect to finish a round if your tee time is noon or later.

I think pace of play would increase if they hired a field marshall.

Some guy who lives out there is playing his mariachi music on full blast everytime I play there and you can here it throuhout the whole course as with the ice cream trucks.There is also 2 little mexicans that were going through our cart last time and we had to chase them out. All of the sudden they don't speak english then they come over and try to sell you golf balls that you probably sliced trhe prior hole and disappeared

Twice in two weeks I have played this course...this time it was a much better pace. I played alone up to the 17th hole, shot 11 over with NO DRIVER in my bag (poor man's golf). They are overseeding tee boxes starting tomorrow (Thurs.) and will aeriate Monday. A good municipal course, greens still holding approach shots greatly, and will roll more truly after aeration. Can't wait for two to three weeks to come back. Great bang for the buck especially if you can't afford a driver like me. Just played par golf and let the birdies come to you here. O.K. staff, great beer girl, SyDDney. notice the spelling...

Like others have described this is a very straight forward flat old school muni. I loved it. The fairways were well maintained and very wide. The greens were soft which leds to ball mark damage and unevenness from heavy foot traffic, but overall they were in great shape. I love the old muni layout and plan to return may times. Check the Donovan Daily website for discounted rates. A great value even without the discount.
