Never played here before, so decided to begin playing some of the "shorter" courses. Now retired, I have extra time to try some places I would normally have passed on, and played the "regular" tracks.

I found this course kind of fun. Reasonable condition, greens were the best part of the course. Fairways were decent, however the tee boxes were rather beat up. If you play the "tips" there are actually a few holes which present some challenge. $12 to walk as a senior and played in just a hair over an hour as a twosome. Will I return ..... probably not, but had a good time and happy to have given this little course a try.

Decided to head over for a quick nine holes today and was pleased with the course. With seven par 3s and two par 4s it's a good chance to work on your short iron and wedge play. The tee boxes were beat up but you could still find plenty of grassy area to hit off of and most were level. There is divot mix on each tee box which is always a plus. Fairways were fine with only a few burned out patches that I saw. Greens were rolling well but did have their fair share of divot damage. I found myself fixing 5-6 per green.
I was a single behind a group but I still got around in about and hour and 45 minutes playing two balls.
Overall a nice choice for a quick round in the area since Birch Hills has been closed during construction.

All right. Best thing about this course - the Play Development Program. $25.00/month and you are the happy owner of unlimited range balls after 1:00 pm, and $5 green fees after 1:00 PM (extra $3 if you want to ride, which on this course is not necessary). The course has an above average putting practice area and they just revamped the driving range and now offer the option of hitting off grass on most weekends. The 9-hole course itself is just fine for what it is - a low cost, relaxed course to work on your short game AND you can pull the driver out on 2 holes. The customer service is fine and the guys in the shop are cool. Great for what it is and your experience is greatly enhanced if you take advantage of the Player Development Program.

Father-in-law was in town today and wanted to play 9...got out here at 2:00 with no problems. Course is in pretty good shape, with the exception of the tee boxes; they are not very level and really chewed up. Greens had a few bumps but were for the most part good. Fairways and rough were above average. Wasn't in a bunker today but they looked fine. $11 for 9 holes is a fair price for this little track. Great for a quick golf fix.

This place has gotten more popular with the closing of Birch Hills. Still a fun course, sometimes it's hard to just walk on. All the activities and some employees of Birch Hills have move here. It's nice to see they are doing more business, but will it takes it's toll on the grounds? Still enjoy playing here.
