Got to play this past weekend and check out the renovation. It's been 6 years since I played so my frame of reference isn't great, but the course definitely feels like it got its "teeth" back. Bunkers have been deepened and many of the greens have been made noticeably bigger with more slopes. There is no collar around the green on 17 anymore, the putting surface runs right into the rocks that no longer leave any room to attempt a shot off them. the green also has some very interesting slopes in it. I am a big fan of the renovation and look forward to seeing if it makes any difference to the pros. Conditions were great for late summer, tees and fairways were all in great shape, minimal divot damage anywhere. Rough was up making it difficult to get spin to hit/hold greens, but fairly easy to get a club through. Bunkers had really nice sand that just hadn't settled in yet, lots of fried egg lies and heavy shots. Will be perfect by the time the open back up again after overseeding. Greens were in incredible shape. They are brand new so you aren't going to be leaving pitch marks on approach shots, but the greens don't fully reject well struck shots. Sign at the starter said 10'8 and I didn't believe it assuming theyd be typical summer bermuda slow. They rolled true and fairly quick all day, really impressed. Overall really impressed with the "new" Stadium course. Although no GPS on carts and lack of yardage markers on the sprinklers is kind of disappointing.
