This round was an unexpected surprise. Shadow Hills North, Exec course, displays its brilliance of design (Curly-Schmidt) with magnificent contouring of greens and bunker placement. It is complimented with thick, lush rough near enough to greens, that make missing a green hard work, but fun. Aesthetically, it is very engaging when standing on each tee, plotting how to hit your tee shot. Just because these are only par 3s does not mean you will actually get in with 3 strokes; the greens were fantastic; smooth, fairly quick and holding. It appears lots of money is being spent on maintenance and upkeep. New clubhouse, nice staff, very good layout with lush conditions made our round worth a return.
UPDATE: When we played, there were only 9 holes open. It is soon to become a full 18 hole par 3 course. Can’t wait.
Pick your day though as the wind can blow out here and all holes are exposed.
