First time here, thanks to shebylo for setting this up! Definitely liked the layout, this is not a typical par 3 course. Good variety of shorter, medium length and longer par 3's. Huge undulating greens that are surrounded by numerous lakes and dozens of deep, well maintained sand traps. The outskirts of many holes have sandy waste bunkers complete with cactus & bushes.

The course was recently over seeded, and everything was generally lush & green. The greens were smooth but putted on the slower side. Tees were very well maintained. the rough & fairways were well maintained as well.

The customer service was a ++. Fun course to tune up your irons and get around in 3 1/2 hours or less. If in the area, I would sprinkle this course into my rotation to add some variety, it's a good value based on the price, layout & condition.

Played today with NICKSQUIRE1 and two very good golfers from La Quinta. Thanks Nick.
This was the first time at the North course for a couple of us and Shadow Hills did not disappoint. And it has been just 2 weeks since re-opening.
The conditions are as good as I recall from just before re-seeding.
All aspects were beautifully lush and expertly manicured; a work of art in presentation.
Greens were receptive, hardly marking, rolling smoothly with moderate to quick pace.
The layout is an experience in itself, and really a good test of one's game.
Worthy of a look for sure.
Be aware, only a practice putting green exists for warm up (no range or hitting nets).
An enjoyable, easy 3 hour round. 8.0/10.

I can't say enough great things about this golf course. I typically dislike all par 3 holes, let alone an entire 18 hole par 3 course, but I can't wait to come back and play this course again. The overall design of each hole is outstanding, they're all beautiful holes with challenging bunker complexes and water hazards. Every skill level will be challenged here, if you're a strong player this course will still be a considerable test for you from the back tees. The condition of the well contoured (yet fair) greens, bunkers and perfect tee boxes impressed me tremendously (and I played in mid-July, I can only imagine how impeccable this course must look in early spring) I high recommend any golfer visiting the area playing this course, you won't be disappointed.

Played early on Saturday, 4/21/12, before the GK event at Eagle Falls. Had played the championship course at Shadow Hills last Spring and was impressed with good conditioning and challenge for a course in a retirement community, and I like Schmidt-Curley designs. Those guys also did this par-3, and it displays very good conditioning and championship-style greens in a very aesthetically pleasing presentation. Hit more sand traps than greens and was glad that sand was in good condition, although somewhat damp and heavy early in the morning. One of our group had an impossible shot when his ball plugged in the face of one bunker on 17. Greens were in very good condition, looked great, firm and rolled well, starting out only medium-fast early and gathering speed as the day warmed and they dried out. Water on 9 holes, and usually in play, and lots of sand - some visually intimidating, and a lot in play around the greens. A mix of holes with distances from 110-215 from the blue tees. Beat the pro shop guy out to sign in, went and got our own cart, no cart girl that early, but recommended.

Before the GK Event today, I played the Shadow Hills North course early in the morning with dconnally, bnick13 and weber2323. I didn't know too much about this par-3 course coming in, but I really enjoyed it out there. Easily the nicest par-3 layout I've ever played. 18 holes with a lot of different hole configurations and variety of distances that let you use every club in your bag (except the driver). The course presents good challenges for golfers of all skill levels and great desert views from hole to hole. Would be a decent beginner's course, but it has plenty of bite for seasoned golfers, as well. It definitely kicked our butts! Course was in incredible shape and looked beautiful from tee to green. I was really impressed in by all the work they obviously put into design and build this course for resort quality, as well as keep it so well maintained.

The greens looked great, but were painfully slow, and the staff was a bit disorganized so early in the morning, but other than that I have no complaints. It was a great place for a quick tune-up round before the event and I'd highly recommend it to anyone if you are looking for a fun and quick round in the desert.
