Early am round in a little over four hours. The staff here is always great and helpful even early in the morning! The tee boxes are in nice shape right now but could use a little trim. The fairways are very nice also with great coverage. The only complaint was several holes had a few sections that had been over watered and muddy up. The rough is thicker now than I can remember in the past years - the length and thickness made locating your balls difficult. The length also limited the distance you could hit shots from it. The greens looked great and sped up some as our round progressed. The greens were fairly bumpy but there were very few ball marks on all of them - nice! The traps were the usual mix of sand and dirt and dirt and dirt - I will add they were well groomed. Most of the traps were also very wet. I always enjoy this well kept course for it's reasonable rates and good conditions.

The rains have softened the course up some but it is still in good shape. Tee boxes in good shape with a few not real level. The fairways were in nice shape with thin spots on many of the water holes making for tight lies. The rough was not too thick where it was present and was easy to hit from. The traps were still pretty damp and in need of sand. Greens were in great shape coverage wise and rolled at medium speed - many had ball marks that were not repaired by THOSE lazy inconsiderate people who should stick to Mulligans! Pace of play was under four hours. The staff is always excellent here. Nicely maintained course with very reasonable rates.

Played here with my son. Teed off at 2:00 and were done at 5:30. The course is fantastic shape except for the bunkers. It is as if they are not doing anything with the bunkers. Should be played as ground under repair. Fairways very good shape and greens were soft and rolled true. I wouldn't call them fast, but they were not slow. You could be aggressive with your putts. The course is very green. Surprising with it being as hot as it has been. Hooked up with a Korean junior golfer on hole 8. He was a pleasure to watch play. On a side note, my son who will be 27 next month got a hole-in-one on #10 par 4, 333 yards!!! A nice clean shot that rolled off the mound just to the left of the green and into the hole.

Green green green ........this is one green farm! All water features are full to brim ...everything growing. Nary a brown spot to be found really--mid summer!! As previous poster said.....greens are fantastic. They roll true and will accept even long irons like a dart--where you land it is where it will stay.
Bunkers are garbage...the low spot of an otherwise 8+/10 track. Great design, lots of multi tiered greens...lots of palm trees. Typical Ted Robinson design....one of SoCals best architects.
They recently lowered their rates and are now reasonable and in competition with everyone nearby.
Is Temecula area the best in SoCal for golf....one could really make that argument.

The Lakes 18 here in Menifee is in very good shape and offers great weekend rates. We finished our round as a foursome in four hours. The course was not quite as busy as usual - but by the end of our round the parking lot was filling up. The flat fairways are in very good condition along with the rough, which is thicker and longer than the other 18 holes that are offered here at Menifee Lakes. The bunkers were in much better shape than the Palms 18, with only a few filled with mud and/or water. The greens were as smooth as I've seen them, but rolled well and had very few ball marks. Both 18's here in Menifee have probably the best all around maintained greens with very, very few ball marks! It's nice to see that on a public course. The staff is always great and the grill was also very reasonable and had pretty good food!

The hot weather required the maintenance crew to run the course sprinklers on every hole? I've never played a round of golf where the sprinklers were running on every hole while the players made their way through their round! Tee boxes needed to be cut. The fairways were in real good shape with only a few thin spots - would have been nice to know that they had plugged areas on many of the fairways very recently. The traps were pathetic with little sand and a lot of water and mud - I will say they are all free of weeds or grasses, just in need of SAND. The greens are in very good condition with very few marks and rolling very well. The round took much longer than it should have with a very slow foursome in front of ours that had fallen behind about four or five holes. Staff is always professional and courteous. Green fees are reasonable and some sort of bonus is usually offered also.

Course continues to improve with the warmer longer days. Fairways are filling in nicely and rough is thickening as well. The tee boxes are in good shape. I found a few traps this morning which were very wet. The greens are in great great shape and getting better! Staff and pace of place are always great. The green fees are very reasonable. The course hosts many tournaments - it't always best to keep that in mind! Definitely recommended!!

Place was extremely busy with tournaments - we got out before they went off and were done in 3 1/2 hours. The tee boxes were very thin, but most are very level and large. The warm weather the last week has really dried up the fairways. The thin spots on the fairways were in marginal shape but still playable. The traps we found were a mixture of dirt and sand. The greens are always quick and generally in good shape. There were a couple greens that were in bad shape (looked like small divot everywhere that were not filled level with the grass)? The green fees are usually very reasonable and staff is always great!

Great customer service and very reasonable rates for a very playable course. The only green to be seen on this side now though are the greens themselves and the trees. The fairways are totally dormant but are very, very playable. The rough is very thick and made finding balls not in the fairway difficult. The greens are IN great shape - very few ball marks and extremely quick. Pace of play is generally very good here also - four hour round. Several holes have water features which attract the dreaded mud ducks - those worthless things have made a green or two nearly impossible to putt on. Always recommended!!
