Played here Wednesday 9/12 with an 8:30am tee time. Pace of play was a bit slow with several slow foursomes in front of us. It took us 4 hours 40 minutes to complete the round. But it didn't seem that... Continue »

Had a really fun little Sunday round at Simi Hills this weekend. Very spontaneous decision after staying the night before up in Thousand Oaks and called them in the morning with no trouble getting out... Continue »

Hey Noel, No worries. We actually rated the course quite similar. Go figure I actually scored quite well on the front nine(36) considering how dry the chipping areas and fairways were. I actually read your review but it did not have any bearing on me playing there that day. I met a buddy that day...

For someone who were to read the two reviews between myself and longball23, it may confuse the readers as to which one to believe. To begin with my explanation, I just want to say that the times I have played this course, it has always been near below average. I do believe longball23's review-- ...

While the driver landing area is fairly narrow, there is much more room just off the fairway left that it appears from the tee. The red hazard left is farther than it appears and most players cannot reach it off the tee. Too far right off the tee brings trees and if way right OB into play. Large green for a shorter par 4, so hitting the correct club on your slightly uphill approach will keep you from having some very long putts.

Long par 4 usually playing into the prevailing wind. Aim much more right off the tee that you think you need to if you want any chance of keeping your ball in the fairway and having an unobstructed shot at this large green. I play a draw and actually aim at the big tree down the right side well into the rough. Even a straight tee shot will end up 20 yards left of it's original line once the fairway slope rolls it out dead left. Warning on your approach angle, if you are barely left, you will have an obstructed view of the green from numerous large trees. The large green slopes fairly severely from back to front and usually plays into the wind, so make sure you have enough club.
