Played on Friday, 3/5, with a 6:30 tee time, 1st course of the annual Cinco de Marzo 36 hole celebration. Out behind the rabbits, let a 2some through on 3, and finished in what felt like a leisurely 3:45.

Course is in great shape after hosting an amateur tournament the weekend before. The greens were fast and firm, and you had to stay below the hole or you had a chance of running off. Consistent AP conditions tee to green, lush fairways with no bare areas, but the rough was up a little bit more than Palm.

Bar/Grill opened at 6 and the pro shop easily handled the deep line of early birds waiting to pay. Drink cart was out at 7 and ran into her about 3 times.

Both AP courses are in great shape and easily in the top half of the resort/local courses for conditions.

Played with my Friday irregular group on 2/5 with a 9am tee time. $52 with the OB Card. Course did not seem busy, not like a normal Friday, and definitely not like a Super Bowl weekend in Vegas. Easy check in and grabbed a cart.

They currently don't allow carts to the range so you need to trek about 100 yards with your clubs. All mat range. Small chipping area. Pretty big practice green with lots of breaks and elevation, running pretty fast.

Course is great shape. The par 3 tee boxes have some divot areas but they move around the markers to help. Fairways are pretty lush, no thin or dirt areas. I did see lots of unfilled divots even though they have the bottles back on the cart. Bunkers appeared to be a bit heavy and/or thin. Rough was just an inch or so above fairway, I've seen it thicker here. Greens are in fantastic shape. Pretty smooth but did seem some balls jumping along, and running their typical medium/fast speed. It would be interesting if they got them close to what the practice green was running today.

No issues with everyone having their own carts today. Carts have GPS to the yards to front/middle/back. Drink cart was around 3-4 times and the snack bar on 6/15 was open. For a Friday, we got around in about 3:45, great time.

Mountain is a really good course. I think it plays a bit harder than it looks and the greens are definitely tricky.

Played on Monday, 10/12. Last minute decision and walked into the pro shop at 12:20 and on the 1st tee at 12:35 on a very busy and beautiful afternoon. The 4some on the 1st tee allowed me to tee off ahead and caught the next 4some on 3, who did not let me pass as they played the tips and looked for balls forever. I skipped ahead from 4 to 7 then swung back and played 5/6 after 14, and finished just over 3 hours.

Course is in phenomenal shape, just after reseeding and off CPO. Fairways are still very wet with a mud ball every drive and no roll out. Rough is growing and is just about 2 inches. Greens are softer than normal and a bit slower than usual, but smooth.

It's now prime season in Vegas and prices and conditions are matching up well. I consider Mountain my "home course" and it was great being back out.

I was able to sneak out for an midday round on the home course with John_T, teeing off earlier than our 12:20 tee time. We paid $42 with the OB Sports card. The best news, THEY HAVE NEW CARTS! Plush seats, a cool 4 cup center piece with a place for your phone, USB chargers, and a new GPS system with distance to front, center, and back. Drink cart was around a couple of times on a rather mild for summer day. Pace was a bit under 4 hours after passing an apparent beginner playing lesson on 2 and a 4some on 4 (where John_t nearly had a hole in one in the high pressure "wave through" situation, we did finish 1 under for the hole). Course is in the early prep for re-seeding, so dry, firm fairways, and the rough cut down to barely longer than fairways. Bunkers appeared to be the same, we didn't hit one all day. Greens were pretty nice. A bit softer than I would think in the middle of the day, and a bit slower than they looked, but pretty smooth and consistent. I will probably avoid here for the next month as they close for re-seed next week and will be cart path for about 3 weeks after, but today was nice. Tee shots had some extra roll,and I was able to do some crazy low running chips from over 150 out.

Course is playing great for the dead of summer, the best I've seen it this time of year. Fairways were lush with no dead areas, but a few really soggy spots from watering. The bunker I was in was not the greatest, a thin layer of sand (about 2 inches) then hard packed. Rough was about 1-2 inches, it seemed like it gradually lengthen the farther you were away from the fairway. The greens were incredible. Maybe a tad slower than normal, but rolling smooth, more medium than fast. Only issues were it seemed like we were chasing the maintenance guys instead of them working opposite and the tee markers on 16 were 1 small step from the back, which has an another elevated tee box just behind. Just a bad spot.

Carts are showing the signs of heavy use, with some broken windshields and other issues. With the single rider policy, this isn't surprising as they have 2 courses plus the lighted par 3, I'm sure some of the carts are getting used 3 times a day.

Overall, great time. Prices are more in the shoulder season than usual summer rates right now.

Played on Friday, 6/26, with a 6:40 tee time with John_t, his dad, and a high school buddy of ours. Paid $42 with the OB card. Latest C19 change: masks are required at all times indoors. The course is in great shape and has held up well to the summer heat of the last couple of weeks. Fairways have been lush and carpet like. The rough is up and they added a nice "1st cut" on most holes. Even without rakes, the sand has been good, unless you land in a foot print from earlier in the day, but they get maintenance every morning. A few of the greens have a light dusting of sand but they are fairly smooth and a nice medium/fast pace. Only issue is the wet fairways early in morning, with some soggy areas. With single rider carts, pace has been well below 4 hours since 5/1. The bar/grill opens with the course, the snack bars open at 8 along with the drink cart.

Played on Friday, 5/1, first day back open for Nevada courses after being closed for about 5 weeks. Paid $49 with the OB Card, which is the normal rate for this time. Teed off on time at 12:20 as a 3 (2 single carts, 1 walker), and finished just over 3 hours later. Tee times are 10 minute intervals and we never waited the entire round. Kudos to the staff for a trouble free experience under the new conditions. Pro shop helped me a lot after our 4th canceled 2 hours prior to tee with the round pre-paid. Cart guys cycled the carts through the wash and back out on a very busy day. C19 adjustments: no assistance with clubs (find a cart and go); only 1 allowed in pro shop at a time (not needed if you pre-paid); single riders (unless same household) or you can walk; putting green is open but no flags; driving range was open and spaced out (no carts allowed at the range); restaurant/bar interior closed, but can use walk up window and no chairs/tables on the patio; carts have been stripped of coolers and divot bottles; on course snack bar and restrooms open; drink cart on the course. Of course the course was in great shape after 5 weeks of no play. Tee boxes have grown in and no signs of divots. Fairways were lush and carpet like, they added a small 1st cut before the thick and gnarly rough. There's a chance of losing your ball if you didn't see where it went in. Bunkers were ok, no rakes, but if you were the first in the area you found it crusty, if you followed, the crust was broken and the sand was a little fluffy. The greens looked spectacular but were the slowest I've seen outside of coming back from being aerified. Overall, perfect day in perfect conditions. Good to be back out.

Played 3/6 with John T and joined by a single for a 6:40 tee time. We were sent out about 10 minutes early, caught the 3 in front of us around 10, and finished right around 3 hours.

Course is in great shape heading into the busy March Madness season. Fairways were lush and starting to run out. The rough is still pretty low, about 1", not very penal and not stopping the ball from running into water or arroyo. Bunkers have been consistent since they changed the sand out last year. Greens were spectacular, smooth, and running at a near fast speed.

AP always peaks in March and April and worth the trip.

1st time back since the course re-opened about a month ago. Course was in great shape. Still wish they would work on leveling out the tee boxes but they were mostly level with little amount of damage. Fairways have taken to the winter grass and it was full and lush. Very few spots where they're still working on it. Rough is growing in and currently just over an inch long. The sand was great, a little heavy but loose. Greens were fantastic. Smooth, and getting to their normal almost fast winter speed.
