Been out to play this course 4 times this summer. Overall Service has been poor at best, The Starter is always nice and informative, but other than that service is non-existant. The practice sand trap has been "ground under repair" since April, and nobody seems to know when it will be repaired, does not look like any progress has been made. The Drink Carts are scarce, but when they do show up... they seem to drive up while you are teeing off! The course has been in decent shape and the greens roll true. Just wish people would fix thier ball marks!

Just cameback from playing Rhodes ranch this afternoon and thought the course was great. Customer service is a A+ in my books from bag drop, pro shop and starter. Green fee include range balls, cart, a meal and 2 beers. This course is well manicured with greens running kinda slow. Layout played really short today due to most holes running down wind. I had driver and short iron on two par 5's. Will definetly comeback and play here again

Played a round this weekend and the course was in decent shape except for the locations where the mud patches would prevent your ball from rolling and would plug. There were some muddy areas around some of the greens which made it difficult to get a decent shot off but that could be me. Lastly the cart lady passed by only once the entire round, good thing I brought a large water bottle with me. At the turn the snackbar had nothing ready but cookies. Suggestion if playing this course is to pack a lunch and bring plenty to drink.

Played 5/5/2012. The course was in great shape except the greens were very firm. The fairways were very good, with plenty of roll. Bunkers were fine and the tee boxes were 1st rate. There was some wind, but it seemed we were somewhat protected by the nearby hills. It was blowing much harder downtown where I was staying. The pace of play was hard to determine in that I was playing in a tournament with a shotgun start.
I gave this course a low rating for customer service because I left my Izzo range finder in the cart at the end of the round. I called the next day and no one had found one. I find that hard to imagine. One of the guys I played with left a silver cigar cutter in his cart the same day and when he called he got the same response I did. So that is why Rhodes Ranch gets a low customer service rating from me.

I had been out to this course this past winter, and had a lesson with a young pro Alex Graham who was great. He helped me with a couple of swing flaws in short order, and offered me a discount for a golf round when the lesson was done.
This time I played on 6/20/2011 as a single. Got the tee time online the night before for $75. Teed off at 7:40 a.m., played the blue tees (6405 yards, rated 71.1/120 slope) played with two higher handicappers who played from the white tees. Driving range has mats instead of grass; lots of stalls. Practice putting green is large and the green quality is a good approximation of the greens on the course.
The course was a pleasant enough track, not too difficult. The greens had quite a bit of slope that made it difficult for a first-timer like myself to judge distances. A few bumps on the greens but I won't blame them for my three-putts.
Fairways are generous in most landing areas. I was able to hit 11/14 fairways; by comparison playing the Paiute Wolf course the next day I hit only 7/14 but felt I was driving the ball better on that course.
The course plays pretty short. Don't think I had more than an seven iron into the green on any par fours, and usually no more than a nine iron.
There are a couple of excellent par threes. Third hole is about a 200 yard shot with water guarding the entire right side of the green, and the 16th hole is a beautiful downhill shot over a lake (which shouldn't come into play), with a creek running a bit to the left of the green (which may come into play).
Of the other holes, the par four ninth is the only one of note, with a second shot to an uphill, two-tiered green guarded by a creek on the right side.
While I enjoyed the round, this is not a course I am dying to go back to. For my money, there are quite a few courses that compete favorably with this one in the Las Vegas area. In particular the three Paiute courses are superior tests, more of a challenge, and offer a better visual experience, without any housing adjacent to the holes. If I played Rhodes Ranch again I would probably move back to the black tees to make it a little tougher.

First time playing in Vegas with friends and found a coupon for 20% off a weekend green fee for this course. It was nice to be greeted by some beautiful women in the pro shop who were also very friendly. The course was in great shape. The tee boxes were well taken care of, the fairways were well manicured and the greens rolled true at a med-fast pace. The pace of play was a little on the slow side but the marshall did his best to nudge the group in front of us along. All in all, i would definitely play this course again, and my buddies loved it!

Nice course in SW Vegas and not a desert golf experience if that is what you are looking for. Not sure if I was a visitor this would be my choice but it's decent track. Straight forward course, hit it straight, stay out of the Bermuda rough and hope the winds don't kick up. Par threes are signatures here. More water on the course than you usually see in Vegas.

Got a good golfnow locals rate and came out to play early (6:30) on a Thursday. Saw only 1 other group during the round and really enjoyed the course. The course is set up well for quick play with generous landing areas and spaces for bail-outs and common misses. That also means the course is not too difficult; however, if the wind kicks up, like it did for us, it can mean a 3-5 club adjustment. The course condition was fantastic; lush fairways and rough and good looking greens. All in all, a very user-friendly experience and fun to play, but don't come expecting a tough course.
