So I played this AM in a cold fog to start but warmed up in an hour. For the good parts of the course: Tee boxes all good and playable. Greens very playable, firm good to chip and putt on. Traps very playable with the new sand. Much improved. Fairways for the most part are covered decently and give good to fair lies and some not all provide good roll out. Now for the bad: Hole # 11 has not dried out at all in front of the green and yet they are still watering that area. You have very little chance of hitting the green if you land short of it. Not a good hole at the moment. Hole # 18 in the fairway around the 150 marker is a mess. Roped off and impossible to play out of due to players who drove through there leaving huge ruts. If you cannot drive it long and play over this area on your second shot you are being unfairly penalized. And anything low and left on this hole you will most certainly not find your ball given the amount of driving range balls already there and how wet and muddy the area is. In fact there was a cart from yesterday still in the mud that had not been pulled out. Hard to believe someone was dumb enough to drive into there. As always great customer service from the shop.

Played today while I have time before relocating. Found the course to be getting into nice shape. While the fairways seemed to be soft they were not as muddy as last round. So coverage was better, lies also and some of them had decent rollout.

No issues with the tee boxes nor the traps. All very playable.

Most of the rough is cut down and what is there is playable and easy to locate the ball.

Greens were in surprising good shape and not as soft as last round so they released shots and chipped/putted nicely with decent speed.

A few more days like this morning and the course will be really nice shape IMO.

Excellent customer service as always from Madison, Christian and Rich.

This is one place in LA that I will surely miss after I move.

Tried playing today as course allowed walking only and that was fine. I found the tee boxes to be all playable. Greens of course soft but all of them played really good. Traps with all new sand held up well and drained well. But the fairways are ALL still heavily wet and muddy. Lift clean and play and hope you get a good placement. It will IMO take many days before they dry out. Other then that it was not a walk spoiled as Mark Twain has said.

Played yesterday. Course is getting better by the week. It looks like they got new equipment and started cutting. All fairways cut and cleaned and now good lies and decent rollout.

Played yesterday. Course is getting better by the week. It looks like they got new equipment and started cutting. All fairways cut and cleaned and now good lies and decent rollout.

Traps all have new sand and their great but we still have many who do not know what a rake is there for.

Rough all cut down and no issues.

Tee boxes all clean and playable.

Greens are getting better and faster each week. Still some issues on some but they are working on them each day.

Still great customer service in the shop and from all employees.

Played today. The warm weather has really helped the course. And you can see and hear the maintenance that has taken place. The tee boxes all mowed and clean no issues. Fairways have dried out (some have a few problem spots) and are starting to provide rollout but they are not lush so lies are not always good. Traps with new sand excellent. Those without not so much. Greens are really firming up. Lots of less divot damage and people are fixing them. All of them had good speed when chipping and putting. Great customer service as always. Played this AM. The fairways were damp so lies were good (not on all fairways) so little to no roll out.

Tee boxes were all playable and traps have new sand (not all yet) and they are very playable. But I would be remiss not mentioning no one rakes, nor cares or does not know how to rake a bunker. After all these years of playing the only think I can come up with is that players today are just lazy.

Greens are getting better and firming up and getting faster. I was told that they are going to remove the bent grass greens that have been there since the 80's and seed them with poa annua but no time schedule was given.

I would not say the course is in as good as shape at present as I have seen it over the years. So I certainly hope we will see improvement over the coming months.

As always excellent customer service from every employee who I came in contact with.

Played today. Course was a little drier than I expected. Unfortunately we are having rain again. Tee boxes were playable. The new sand in the bunkers withstood the rain well. But players are not raking them sad to say. Fairways damp of course and mud on balls expected so not very good lies. But I was impressed with the greens. Even with the rain they still had some firmness which they did not have last week. But they still putted slow. The usual great service in the shop. And restaurant was open serving good food and great prices.

Played today before the rains come. Course is really not shaping up very quickly. In fact they were laying sand in the fairways today which seemed odd given the rain that is expected? And fairways looked punched and that seems strange as they just did them last month. Pehaps the soil here is not that good and it needs a lot more TLC before we see improved conditions? So with poor fairways we still have less than improved greens. They are not mowing them close and thus you get slowww greens all 18. And this was a course that always had good firm fast greens in the past. Tee boxes were all playable. They have not finished re sanding all the bunkers but the ones they have done are very nice and very playable in comparison to the old ones. Still good customer service but better course conditions would be even better. Hopefully my trip to CO Thanksgiving week will allow me some golf on some better courses.

Played today and after 1 week very little improvement is apparent in course conditions. Fairways are not mowed and very wet conditions on many of them prevail. They are not even drying out in many areas. The middle of # 18 is a muddy mess. Nice new sand in almost all the traps now. Very playable. But no one still rakes the traps. Unbelievable. Greens need mowing and rolling. They are the slowest I have ever seen them. Tee boxes are also in need of mowing and at least you can get a tee in the ground. For a course that is under the control of Troon I really don't understand why conditions are so lacking in improvement after all the aertion they did last month. Pace of play is pathetic unless you are one of the first 3 to 4 groups out in the AM.
