Went to play today. Lasted 3 holes. I knew the greens had been aerated but I was not expecting what else I found.

1. Fairways have not been mowed and look and play awful. And there was no mowing being done today.

2. Sand traps are being worked and they have numerous temporary greens and no information on how long this will last. And its not minor work but a total overhaul of each trap.

3. On Oct 6 ALL tee boxes will be aerated and tees moved up 30 to 40 yards. And they are stating that the tees will not open for one month.

4. They are charging normal green fees during all this work as well. No discounts.

Combine bad fairways, trap overhaul, sanded greens, and closing of tees for 1 month for aeration. That in my mind does not make for an enjoyable round of golf.

Personally I don't think its worth the $$ to play here for the present.

Played two rounds here over the weekend and to echo previous reviews, conditions here are suboptimal. Hitting from the fairway is like hitting out of the first cut if you're lucky, and thick rough if you're not. Easy to lose a ball in these conditions with the fairways overgrown and overwatered with absolutely no roll out.

The rough is extremely overgrown as well, which is actually kind of cool and presents a good challenge for such a short course. Wouldn't mind it staying this juicy to be honest, but it does make finding your ball hard. Pace of play both days was around 5 hours which is brutal for such a short course.

Thankfully the greens are being aerated today and tomorrow (9/22-23) so hopefully they'll be good again in a few weeks, because they were in pretty poor shape. Tons of unfixed pitch marks along with crabgrass growing in made for a very bumpy putting surface.

I wasn't in any bunkers so can't speak on them, but I did hear that they're going to be renovating a number of bunkers soon by adding in new liners/drainage as well as fresh sand, so that's something to look forward to.

For now give I'm going to take Alhambra out of the rotation for at least a few weeks while they work to get conditions back to their normal levels

Played today. Sad to say course is getting worse than better. Totally over watered and carts are danaging the turf. Greens potmarked with divots and poorly repaired divots. Many areas of grass needs mowing and you will loose balls if you land there. At this point its not worth the $$ to play here in IMO. And play is atrociously slow due to these conditions. Only hope is cooler weather comes soon.

Played today. Not much change from last week. Course still being watered heavily against the heat. So lush fairways that need cutting so no roll and heavy lies. Tee boxes were cut so no issues. Traps playable but damp in early AM. Rough damp and high and needs cutting. Greens soft and showing wear and tear and divot damage due to softness. They all putted slow all round. But great customer service from Christian and Mateo in the shop.

Played yesterday AM. Course is in nice shape all around but very wet in many areas due to recent heat wave. I found all tee boxes to be playable. As well as the traps at that time of the morning. Fairways are playable but little roll out due to watering. Especially in front of the greens. If they are not careful they will have more cart track damage like in front of # 11 due to watering (huge). The greens are slow also due to watering so that they do not get burned out like what happened last year. POP was right on 3 H so that was good for a Tues morning. As always great customer service at all levels from Christian, Madison, Rich (carts) and Phil and Oscar (grounds crew).

Played this AM on a beautiful golf morning. POP as first out was 2.5 H. Great way to spend an early morning. Course is in good playing condition at the moment. Though some areas are over watered IMO and effect roll out and bounce. Fairways not so much but many of the fronts of the greens are soft and many of the greens are not very fast for chipping/putting. No tee issues nor trap issues at this time of the day. Customer service in shop and other employee contact was all great. A round of golf is great no matter where one plays.

Played today. Nice cool comfortable morning. Course is in reasonably good shape although it seems over watered in many areas. Especially in front of many greens and the greens themselves. No tee box issues. No trap issues. But while the fairways are green and provide good lies the roll out is not that great on many holes. As for the greens? They look good but chip and putt slow IMO. And there are a lot of unrepaired divot marks. Excellent service in the shop and with all other employees encountered.

Out on Saturday 6/5 2:10 as a single joining a twosome and riding. Conditions here are usually pretty consistent and were on the day. Teeing, fairways and greens were all good. The greens a touch slower than usual but still a good medium-quick and clean. I was only in one bunker but the sand was good and mostly groomed with a few stray footprints. The rough was generally green and often on the thicker side. They have some rope and stakes up in a few areas to direct carts away from spots they want to regenerate. Not an issue and doesn't impact play. It was busy day but the pace was about 4.75 hrs and fairly steady — certainly not quick but could have been worse. Pro shop is polite and on top of things here. Had a good time with the two young guys was paired with, neither of whom had played the course before.
