Played at Alhambra Municipal GC on May 18th with a morning tee time of 10:00 AM for the Thursday lunch and golf special. Pace of play was extra slow and the marshall did not particularly speed it up. The pace smoothed out at the turn-around. We played the blue tees, most of the tee boxes were lush and level. Watch out on the 17th tee for errant shots from #16 as it is very easy to startle the group ahead. The fairways had good coverage while the rough was thick and sucked my ball down into impossible lies at times. Pin placements were challenging but reachable. Some Par 5's were reachable in two if you played to your strengths. Some pins were just behind green-side bunkers which elevated the level of play considerably. The green-side bunkers themselves had nice soft sand and were easy enough to get out of if you played for maximum loft. The greens were in pretty solid condition with some predictable areas of wear around popular landing zones and bunker sand. I did not hit any fairway bunkers so I cannot comment on their condition. The layout is fun for beginner and intermediate golfers who are looking to test out different shots and take some risks. I highly recommend booking this amazing $30 deal for golf, burger, fries, and a drink directly through the Alhambra website. Will definitely be back soon.

We were back out today again and POP was 3 hours. Course is in great condition right now. Greens are back in shape and chipping/putting well. Fast and consistent, especially downhill putts. Fairways are all in good shape and providing good roll and lies. Tee boxes are all in good shape. Not much rough to experience, other than what you find on some of the hillsides. Bunkers are all in good shape and playable. Customer service excellent (Thanks Pete) and food in Birdies excellent as well.

Back out today and POP was 3 hours. Course is improving each week (IMO) and the maintenance crew was hard at work again today. Greens have been verticut and are very speedy (especially from above any hole). Fairways are nice and lush, providing good lies/roll out. Traps were a little firm, due to yesterdays rain. Not much rough to speak of. Tee boxes are all fine. Great customer service at all levels.

Played today in a great POP of 2.5 hours. Customer service excellent at all levels. Course has come back from aeration very nicely. All the greens are back in top shape and putting/chipping great (and fast) especially if you are following the mowers. Tee boxes in good shape; bunkers are clean/raked; fairways providing good roll and excellent lies. Nice conditions and recommended.

Finally got out after some "personal" delays. Course is still recovering from their recent aeration of the greens, 2 weeks ago. The fairways are fine; tee boxes are fine; sand traps are fine. Greens are slow and very frustrating to putt on. Customer service at all levels was terrific.

Still one area of course still wet and that is the lower part of the 18th fairway, left of the 150 yard marker (roped off). Maintenance is working hard each day to put the course back into shape. Great customer service at all levels.

Played today in a nice 3 hour pace. Course is in very nice condition (IMO) after some nice sunny days. You are hard pressed to find any bad/wet areas still around. Tee boxes clean and playable. Fairways providing nice roll and great lies. Sand traps are clean and playable. Rough abounds outside of fairway and around greens, but they appear to be cutting it down, over time. Greens were cut and rolled and played great. Great customer service in the pro shop and restaurant.
