Played a sunset/night round here yesterday and i must say this place is turning around finally. we teed off at 5pm for $12. Played a good 15 holes before the fog rolled in and it was too hard to see. of course we tried and added 10 extra strokes looking for our golfballs haha.

Staff is mostly friendly unless you get the unfortunate chance to meet George Dalet* he is a so called Marshall that goes out and plays with his buddies after his shift and is always 3 holes behind and will not let you pass. unfortunately this has happened a few times and its all luck of the draw if he is playing or not.

Tee boxes had grass and looked nice a few had divot issues but thats expected on a late round for a packed course.

Fairways were 90 percent grass a few GUR but i was pleased with my lies.

Green are beat up due to the clientele that play here and dont fix their divots but the greens are in good shape. and are medium/slow.

This is a entertaining short course for 12 buck but dont get your hopes up

Played with a noon tee time @ $23 with cart and Golf Now fee. My buddy Bob, bought my round. We played as a twosome and caught the two foursomes in front of use by the 7th tee. Pace of play remained good for the most part.
Tee boxes were more beat up than I would expect for a course were tees are used for most shots. The fairways were good, rough was non-existent, the course was mowed tight. There was virtually no fringe around the greens, except along the water hazards.
Fairways near the greens were occasionally very muddy, the greens were soft, as a result the greens were badly beat up with ball marks.
Apparently most players this day had no clue how to repair a ball mark. One hole looked like the first 3rd of the green had been aerated from all the ball marks.
This was probably the worst I have seen the greens on this course this year. The weather was perfect, the cart girl came by three times during the round, that caused the only real delay when the guys in front of us on the 12th decided to flirt for what seemed like forever as well as decide what to order. Still for a Saturday the course was not overly crowed. All of the golfers we saw were having fun, with lots of smiles.

Played David L. Baker on a maintenance special. $20 with CART. 6:53am Tee time, got out about 10min early. Played 18 in under 3 hours. Greens were aerated Monday & Tuesday. Greens were bumpy, soft and sandy. Greens were very soft.

As always enjoyed the course. The tee boxes were very bumpy and un-level, making the foundation hard to set, this was true from the first hole to the last. Had a low of mowers out as well. Fairways were wonderful, despite the fact that this course almost never fills the divot bottles. Rough was lush with some mud, the fringe all the way around was great.

Played Friday 9/18/2015, 8:15am tee time, round completed 12:45pm. Pace of play was a little slow as 5 groups ahead of us were a women's league, mostly older ladies. Front 9 went well, they wore down on the back 9, shots got shorter, more offline and took longer to discuss. The group in front of us was a fivesome. Overall they kept a nice pace of play until the end. The only issue was lack of ball mark repair.

The course itself was in very nice condition. The tees and pins were placed to provide a decent challenge. With one exception the bunkers were in very nice shape with fluffy sand. One was flooded. The tee boxes were mostly level and lush. The fairways were lush, and uniformly green. There really is little or no rough beside the fairway, and there are bare areas and pine needle areas. The greens are in very nice condition given the volume this course sees. There were some ball mark induced dead spots but not bad, and had little effect on putting. Greens were medium slow in the morning, moving to medium by noon as we closed out the back 9. Rough around the water, and around the greens was lush, and up to 4 inches.

The course was not oversold. Carts were clean, however the divot repair bottles were nearly empty, there were none in the reload station, and no mix to pick up. My playing partner Bob is religious about fixing ball marks and divots, and it caused him some stress.

Good day of golf, cost $28 per person with Cart.

Played today(8/7/15) at 3pm, not too busy. I've played this course too many times to count, and this was the best I've seen it. I've played some nice courses and the greens here were the best I've seen. They have a new greens keeper. Come play this course, its cheap and more than worth the time. I usually play about 3 hours so its not going to take too much of the day. Get to this course! It's awesome!

The staff is excellent, very helpful. The driving range is nicely laid out and range balls are reasonably priced. The drink cart was very active, but we never saw a Marshall at any time during the round. This was an issue, as the pace of play was good, the conditions were above expectation, but some of our fellow golfers were very impolite. During our round on a Monday with a noon tee time, we experience sunflower seeds on many greens, and on the back nine had a player randomly cutting in, playing multiple balls with no concern for the groups ahead or behind, and not repairing multiple ball marks on the greens. Without a Marshall this behavior continued during our entire back 9.

Other than the rude behavior of a few, the course itself was fun. The cost was $18 per person for the round with a cart.

Played this morning on a golfnow Hot Deal at 6:53. My expectations were probably a bit higher than they should have been. Tee boxes were unsurprisingly chewed up being an executive course AND hadn't been mowed in a couple days. No sand/divot repair stations on any of the tee boxes was frustrating as well. Fairways played better than they looked (lots of mottling and about 4 different kinds of grass) with more than a few divots. This seems like a good place to have sand bottles in the middle of the fairways (but of course they don't do that). Rough was extra patchy. Some good spots, but mostly fair at best. Greens were bumpy with a number of small brown patches and lots of unfixed or poorly fixed divots. Wasn't in a bunker so can't comment there. POP was good at just under 3 hours and the guy at check in was friendly. Even saw the cart girl come around at 9 in the morning! For the Hotdeal I got ($18) it was acceptable and it checks another course off the list. With better conditions I could see myself coming back because the course is quite a bit of fun. Maybe in a couple months things will look better. OH! And i completely forgot to mention that the range looks to be closed for a while because 8 of the fencing support poles bordering the 9th hole SNAPPED AND FELL OVER!

Great course for practice. 3-1/2 hour round at senior rate makes it a great bargain. Best news is that bunkers now have sand instead of mud and dirt, makes sand saves a real possibility. Some thin spots on fairways but greens generally in good shape although some have been lightly sanded recently.

David L Baker is one of my favorite courses. You can your on the short game, shoot a decent score, drive a couple par 4's and enjoy good food. The service is awesome, they always have good deals and its not too challenging. The only bad thing I can think of is that it can get pretty busy sometimes but for weekdays you can't go wrong with David L Baker
