1st time playing here, and everything I heard "good" was correct. Played the blues (6658/72.0/130) in 3 1/2 hours on an awesome Golfnow hot deal of $21.99 for a 730A tee time, and they got me out earlier. Played with a nice family from Hemet, we were the 1st ones out. POP was 3 1/2 hours. Loved the layout, there were a few holes that either were or easily could be a real beast (#7, #15 & #17 stand out). Some of the most generous fairway landing areas I have ever seen on a desert course... once you were out there and could see them. However, many were well hidden and looked tighter than they actually were from the tee. The greens are recovering nicely from the recent aeration. Probably another 7-10 days before they are completely healed, but they were medium speed, held shots well and were reasonably smooth for greens that still had evidence of being punched with top dressing on them. I found the greens to be true and easier to read than most, the sight lines usually stood out to me. Both the fairways and rough were fairly lush, with a few burned spots here and there. The traps were in excellent condition, nice fluffy sand. The tees were generally in good to very good shape as well. Loved the layout, it's completely away from any houses. Generous amount of lakes, canals, native areas, many tee shots that were nicely camouflaged by the designer and tons of both fairway and green side traps... yet this was not a tight course for the most part. Customer service was a ++, from the complimentary range balls all the way to the cart guy cleaning your clubs after the round under misters. Great course, wished that I lived closer so that I could enjoy it more often! Will definitely be back.
