Played our round on Tuesday Oct. 13th 2009. I highly recommend having lunch at the Cafe located at the golf course, very reasonable. WE played the LEGENDS course because the RESORT course was in the process of being over seeded. The greens were in excellent condition, however the pace of play was very slow and this was on a Tuesday!
MY only gripe is that this course is not well marked at ALL for yardages! Please bring your GPS or laser gun to gauge yardages, the 200 / 150 / 100 markers are NOT always easy to find in the fairway, many stones are missing. One other quirky thing, most of the TEE boxes are NOT level grounded, are in bad shape....Maintenance is being overlooked. This is a very playable golf course for anyone...However, the remaining FOUR holes will really test your game! From the WHITE Tees alone play #15 208 yds. Par 3, #16 410 yds PAR 4 ALWAYS into the wind, #17 427 Par 4 must have an accurate Tee shot just to have a chance to reach the green in regulation and #18 440 yds PAR 4!

50 year old layout that meanders through homes and streets. Several holes have tight OB lines, if you miss the fairway much you are OB. however, the majority of the holes have generous landing areas. The greens were decent to putt on but did not hold well, a little slow but true. Fairways, tees and rough were all a +, lush and green. The only negative on the upkeep of the course is they could seriously use a few dump truck loads of sand for their traps, it was more raked dirt than sand. I had a hardpan type lie every time I was in a trap. They offered a $19 twi-light special that included green fee with cart and 2 drinks, so the value was definitely there.

Played Sunday before Memorial Day. Pace was slow because of crowds. They need marshalls moving the play along. Greens had just been aerated. Overall, I enjoyed the course and the staff was excellent.

low rating (6.3) is due to aerated greens. Bumpy and very slow. Overall the course is in good condition. Give it about 3-4 weeks until the aeration is complete

First time playing this course today and was very surprised how decent the course is. It's not a desert layout like most courses in the palm springs, but more like an country club course. Houses line most fairways and greens, but not to close. Hitting one out of bounds here is very rare. There is some holes that is consider narrow, but not that narrow for a long iron. Customer service here is top notch here. From starters to restaurant staff, they treat you with upmost respect. I also enjoyed the free breakfast before your round and free lunch after the round. Yes, I did say free. It's not hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch, it's steak and the fixings. Food was delicious! I will be coming back here again to try out the resort course.

Played the Legend for a local rate of $35 which is a good deal for this time of year. Breakfast and lunch are included in the deal making it a great bargain. This is an old course with wide open fairways and is lined with old homes. The course is relatively long from the whites (over 6500 yards). Greens are in pretty good shape but bunkers are hard packed sand and many tee boxes are not level. Even though the course is wide open it is difficult for average players because 6 of the par 4's played over 400 yards and most of the rest were close to 400 yds. The Resort Course is much nicer and better maintained even though it is slightly more expensive to play. I'd recommend the Resort over the Legend for those who haven't played here before.

Played yesterday 7/5/08.. Second course of the day.. Played right after Cimarron, got on at 4:15pm.. Top notch staff Neil at the front desk and Calum the starter hooked me up.. Got to start on the back 9 and work my way back to ensure I would finish in under 3 hours.. The staff is top notch!!! On to the course... As the previous posts stated. Very basic course, the rough is the almost the same length as the fairways.. The fairways are very well maintained as well as the tee boxes.. The greens were in great shape; hard, and fast.. Traps were on the hard side, but not bad.. The customer service was soooo awesome I want to come back and play the Resort course!!

Was in the area for the pro tennis tournament this weekend and was able to play golf as well. The course is in good shape. Big fairways and the greens slope from back to front. Water comes into play on just one hole. Only one complaint is the sand in the bunkers is not that great. Played the course with my buddy on 3/22/07 in 3.5 hours. Nice views and great price that included breakfast. I would play the course again in a heart beat.
