Played 3-1-14. This was our 2nd 18 of the day. Played the south course in the morning.
This is a good old style palm springs golf course. Longer than the south. Almost 7k from the blues. Some long par 4 holes. Tricky par 3's. Score able par 5's. Hit it straight and you can play here. Greens rolled with decent speed and were true. The greens are the best part of the course. Most of the bunkers are filled with the white silica sand. Looks great. Hope they complete them all. Course is in great shape tee to green. I would recommend playing this course to anyone. Great layout.

I played Indian Cayons Resort North Course Thursday in a scramble tournament. This was my second round in 2 weeks where I played a golf course about a week before overseeding. Have to say I’m enjoying very firm dry bermunda conditions in that the greens run pure/fast although next to impossible to hold any iron other than short irons. I also like the extra yards off the tee and extra spin with short irons. Although the grass does not look very green, there is plenty of it to still produce good lies. The previous review by sixpez about 7 weeks ago was still very accurate and spot on about the layout and service. I played until about sunset and I must say the views of the nearby mountains are beautiful from the course. I liked the course even if it did not have the desert terrain surrounds and pretty easy straight forward layout. Overall the conditions are good but by the time you read this, the course will be closed for overseeding and not reopening until 11/20. Once reopened it will be totally different…all rye grass, with lush green turf and slow smooth greens (due to fresh overseed). I would not have the North Course high on my list as a destination course unless I was on a tight budget. In general I would be happy to play it again.

Played here for my second round of the day. Had a GN time at 12:40 for just $25, but got there early and they let me go out right away at noon with hardly anyone out there on a hot/humid day. Played through two groups along the way, but finished quickly in about 2 hours. The course is in pretty good late summer shape. Though a bit more dried out than what I had at Woodhaven earlier, I found the playability of it to be better. Fairways were cut tighter and lies were always good. Rough consistent throughout and not too penal. Excellent sand traps and mostly good tee boxes throughout (I played whites). The greens also looked a bit dried out with some light brown coloration coming in, but they were relatively soft and receptive on approaches and fairly smooth/true on top. Rolling at medium speeds and more enjoyable than the slower greens you usually get this time of year out there. Another fun old school kind of course with a lot of history in the clubhouse as shebylo noted. Wide fairways and easy-to-read greens with an average amount of trouble to get into in the form of sand traps and water hazards. Tall skinny palm trees sometimes get in your way visually, but are pretty easy to get around. Having played both courses here now, I personally prefer South more as I think it's a more interesting and challenging layout with less houses around. I must commend the staff at North, though, primarily the starter and the guys around the cart barn. Very friendly and helpful. The guy loaded up my cart with 5 bottles of water and then when you finish, they give you a cold towel scented with mango oil to wipe down your face, arms and legs—so refreshing!!! The fact they do little things like this during the off-season when so few people are out there and paying such reduced fees says a lot.

2nd round for the day. $25 golnow, worth it. Interesting experience as we got there and told we'd need to be done by 7...had to. Well that gave us 2:50 min and we did it. I'd prefered to know that at time of reservation but it's cool. Only one other group on the course so they need to get the staff outta there.
Tons of Palm Springs history and tradition here. Classic doglegs with tons of palm tree lined fairways. Fun layout bit nothing surprising. The neighborhood and houses that surround the property are all mid century and very well kept so you have a feel of playing back un the day and may need a icy martini when your done.
Greens were pretty fast even though it was humid. Some of the bunkers had new beautiful bright white sand in them but others didn't, you could see maintnence going on so it looked they'd all be filled soon. Clean fairways and tee boxes.
All in all its a fun slice of nostalgia, for the rate it was totally worth it.

Just 2 of us from 0700, quiet day, finished at 1000. Old school Palm Springs course with history dripping from the walls inside an expansive clubhouse. Nice staff throughout. Did not see the range, but 2 practice greens out back.
Overall very average layout and conditions. Sand was perfect, tees are fine, rough under an inch, greens/collars nicely groomed and quick pace, soft and smooth. Fairways fast and firm; easy to hit from. Layout resembled a muni, with open tee shots, and run-up or fly on approaches; your choice. Sufficient water stations, drinks cart, and marshaling made it our 'tick in the box' round.

I wasn't going to play this course because I felt the $115 was too much, fortunately got on for $65 with golfnow. For the golfnow price, it was worth it. Course was in great shape with rolling true and fast. The layout did not wow me but the course was fun to play. It’s a traditional back to the 50’s type desert layout. Has a country club feel to it. Pretty generous off the tee and the greens are well guarded by bunkers. The fairways where lush and in great shape. Excellent Pace of Play finished in 4 hrs.

Played today for $30 and played very quick. Staff was nice only problem is lack of water stations and refreshment carts. Found the course a little tight but fair layout. Good bang for the bunk.

Played 7/4/12 @ 11:10am 2some. We had enjoyed playing IC South last year and wanted to try the North course so we went. Guess most people went to the beach on 4th as there were total of about 4 groups on the whole course.
We enjoyed a very peaceful round of golf but the current course condition is not ideal. Greens, Tees and Fairways are ok and playable but nothing was good or great. I'm sure this was a very nice course back in the 60s but I think the new owners will have to do a major overhaul in order to compete with much better options nearby. I'm told Agua Caliente tribe bought it about 3 -4 years ago but didn't see any signs of any significant investment for the course. It's ok if you find a good deal but if you want the resort type of golf in PS area, this is not it.
