Played Eagle Glen on 7/8. Greens: fast and smooth; Fairways: holes from recent punching still showing and overall were very firm to the point in that on several holes drive hit into center of a sloping fairway could run off that fairway into lateral hazard area; Tees: very inconsistent with roughly half of them in very marginal condition; Bunkers: fairway bunkers very firm and greenside bunkers had some sand in them which is rare for courses in IE these day. Pace of play was 4.5 hours. A bit of strangeness in getting round started as starter was putting new outgoing groups to the 10th tee with explanation of a tournament being underway. There was plenty of wind which helped cool things down on the course even though the temperature was in the low 90's at 3PM.

Tuesday Morning tee time at EG. Check in and first tee well organized and running on time. Tee boxes level with ok coverage, fairways and rough are very dry/brown and hard to pick the ball cleanly. Many sand traps have bees swarming in them and played them as GUR in our group. Green complexes are the best part of the course, smooth and lush running at medium speed. POP at a little over four hours.

I played 6/8 at 6:40am with another single they paired me with. Check-in was simple straightforward. Tees were mostly good, a couple par 3s were placed in areas full of divots. Fairways are completely yellow/brown and very thin right now. Playability is fine, as the ball sat up and could be compressed. Rough is almost non-existant. Rough seemed to be mowed to same height as fairways. I didn't land it any bunkers, but most of them have a ton of deep footprints since there are no rakes and I guess the grounds crew can't maintain them? Greens are the best aspect of this course right now. They're smooth and lush green. Collars and approach areas are also more lush than the rest of the course. Pace of play was just under 4 hours, but would have been faster since we were behind a few foursomes. I'll return next year.

Greens were smooth and quick, the first cut is real nice and the grass around the greens is nice and green. All I ask is that, please, do NOT fix the fairways. Keep them bare and hard. This course is my feel good course because of the hard pan fairways. I don't carry the ball as far as I used to but this course makes up for it. My driver carries about 210-220 but I hit it straight and on these fairways I get a roll of anywhere from 30-70 yards which is nice. So please, do not get the grass to grow. Thank You

Played a 7am tee time. Check in was easy. No scorecards which is so weird to me. Foam in the holes and no touching the flags. PoP was 4hours 10minutes. The best thing about the course were the greens. They were fantastic. The fairways and rough were concrete! They attempted to paint them green, but it was mostly yellow. Bunkers were not great either. Course is enjoyable and challenging.

Was invited by fellow GK’er cthuyen to play Eagle Glen with his brother and friend. On a beautiful but windy day, we had a tee time at 10:30 on 5/19 paying $46 using Golf Now. Since we prepaid, only had to go into the clubhouse to sign the cart waiver which gave me a weird feeling. There was nothing in the clubhouse; no apparel, golf equipment, lights on very low, eerie actually. Anyway, got off right on time and finished in less than 4 hours. Riding single carts was kind of nice. Speeds up play, no question. I really enjoy playing here because of the challenge but know that fairways are pretty thin. Looks like some of the fairways were sprayed with green color dye. Gave it a good look as I think they would have been dormant brown without it. Lots of roll out though with the driver which is always nice. Not much rough but it is starting to grow back. The bunkers weren’t as bad as they looked, just full of wet sand. The greens were in very good condition but pretty slow. Used to seeing them much faster here. EG is not in the best shape but not horrible either. I would definitely go back largely because of the layout and the challenge. Can’t be spraying it out here.

Played a mid-afternoon round on 4/25. Happy to find the course in much better condition than previously reviewed. Starter advised that masks must be worn at all times during the round, placing extra emphasis on tee boxes and greens. Since it’s single rider carts, I took some relief from the mask while driving between shots and holes. The Marshall does come around to check if everyone is in compliance and they do put a message up on the GPS screen when they are coming. Due to social distancing protocols, we were also advised that if we see people on the green from a tee box on a par 4, then we need to slow down and wait for the green to clear before teeing off. As a result, we didn’t see anyone on the course until the adjacent fairways on the back 9. As for course conditions, some tee boxes could use a shave but otherwise fine. Fairways were great, the rough on some holes was deeper than others but nothing to complain about. Greens are getting close to full recovery - very slow but did not affect putting as they held the line. We found a few greens that were healed. Over all a very nice relaxing round, started at 12:20 and finished at 4:30.

I agree with the earlier review, Punching is very obvious on the greens, ball bounces and the greens were very slow. Rough is confusing, some is 4-5 inches high and you can almost lose a ball but then the next hole the rough is non existent. Bunkers are hard as cement so not to worry about needing the rakes. Not to busy today but that will probably change to less golfers since they are going golfnow for reservations so goodbye senior rates and their players card. From $39 to $59 is just to big a jump for most people for this course. I wish them luck. Stay safe everyone.

Got lucky enough to head back out to the golf course today teeing off around 9am. Other than being thrilled to be back outside with good weather this will be more based on the course conditions.

Got lucky enough to head back out to the golf course today teeing off around 9am. Other than being thrilled to be back outside with good weather this will be more based on the course conditions.

Course completed their aerification during the closure and greens are far from recovered, definitely the most disappointing part of the day, very slow, bumpy, and inconsistent hole to hole. Bunkers are awful, right there with a low-point on the course. Some areas of rough are mown down, and they are mown very tight, I would say much too short or the rough hasn't been touched at all like number 1 with 6 inches of thick stuff. There's potential for this course to be in very nice shape in a couple weeks, maybe the re-opening wasn't expected this quickly because the course was definitely rough around the edges. Fairways are solid for the most part, maybe the highlight, but multiple holes have hard pan and sand areas in the middle of the fairway. Would I come back out to play for about 55 bucks? Absolutely, its not in horrible shape, but if there are other options opening up I would try and find somewhere else with better greens right now. Again, super excited to be back out there playing, but conditions were spotty.

As far as COVID, they require face coverings out there and it is single rider carts. They did have a few mats open on the range to hit some balls
