Played 2-16-07. One of the best layouts in SoCal with well protected short par fours, fair long par fours, reachable par fives (with a good tee shot) and exiting par threes over canyons. HOWEVER, you would think with players paying $85 - $125 a round that the powers-that-be could at least over seed the fairways in the fall so you have green fairways in the winter! The tee boxes are barely green and there is alot of bare spots around bunkers and greens. One other thing, -never saw a marshal in our five hour fifteen minute round on a Friday! I would wait till the spring for a better experience for the $$$.

Fairways decent considering the time of the year. The tee boxes were horrible, hard to find a even lie and the markers were never lined up property. I also didn't get the placement of some of the sprinkler heads, flag would be 7 feet on and there would be 3 big holes right in front making chips to the pin impossible. Overall frustrating experience

fairway grass is completely shot with no positive prospect of improvement in near term. no sand in many traps. some tee boxes absolutely unplayable. greens ok. the only saving grace is that it is a decently designed golf course. customer service on the phone was miserable, nothing helpful on the course. interminable playing time (5.5 hours on a thursday with pre-9 am start). overall extremely disappointing, not something to rush to again unless fantastic deal and course has been rehabilitated.

Even with the dormant brown fairways, the course looked nice. The fairways actually played decent, but the greens were just too slow! Had kind of a "crusty" feel to them. I try not to be too critical of the courses this time of year, particularly with all the cold weather, so I would have to say, all things considered, the course is in ok shape. Always fun to play!

Do not play this course on the weekend unless you like 6+ hour rounds. I was concerned about pace of play having read some other posts and they were right. I played this course on Jan. 27 with a tee time of 9:24AM. We didn't tee off until 9:55. I checked my watch when we walked off the 18th hole and it was 3:50PM.

The pace of play problem seems to be linked to the Mens Club that holds the prime morning tee times on the weekend. On the day we played, they were holding a two-man competition against a rival course's mens club. You'd think these guys were playing for a green jacket with the amount of time they were taking to line up shots. Given that these are probably the course's top customers, the marshals seem to have no interest in pushing them to play faster.

I expect a 6 hour Saturday round at a local muni, but not at a $100 course in the Inland Empire. The pro shop mgr offered to by us a couple of drinks but by then we really didn't want to spend any more time at the course. Aside from the pace of play problem, the course is a nice track and is in pretty decent condition. I suggest playing on a weekday.

Played on Tuesday December 26. Played with a RedDot for only $40 which is a heck of a deal for this course. Fairways were brown and the rough is a lot greener, which gave the course an odd look. Even though the fairways are brown, the grass is just dormant and is playing very nice. The rough is a little thin, but not too bad. The greens are in excellent condition and roll nice and are somewhat fast. If I ever figure out how to putt on these greens I'll be dangerous. The traps are very hard, and I was disappointed. The 17th hole had plenty of sand, I should know because of how deep my ball buried in it from my tee shot. The starter could use some lessons on how to do his job, he told us to wait on the practice green for 5 minutes and he would com and get us when it was time to tee off, after 15 minutes we searched him out and he had already sent the twosome we were to play with out, he had us jump in front of the foursome on the tee and hit into the twosome in the middle of the fairway on the first hole. I think there was some select four letter words sent our way. The starter did admit that he "f'd' up. Our cart ran out of electricity on the 15th hole and it took the clubhouse until the 17th tee box to get us a new cart.

Greens great, fast , tees coming around fairways nice and tight, always a treat, on the 5 must play list in So Cal, staff was helpful as usual, money well spent

I love this course but a little disappointed yesterday. Greens were fast with too many ball marks. Sand traps were mud due to over watering. Tee boxes were okay, some under repair. There are some visible bare spots around the course. When it gets lush again this course plays 8.0. Not complaining playing on a beautiful golf day.
