I say so is keeping a course no one wants to play, especially at these prices. fair at best. they cut the grass and let it lay leaving clumps of cut grass everywhere. For the $$$ there are better courses

Course's greens are infested with poa anna. Not really bent grass anymore. They putt slow, but are still somewhat "smooth". Just a head's up on the current direction of the course. Troon Golf will no longer be managing this facility by the end of the month, or the next month June 31. Can't remember the exact date. If any of you guys have Troon Reward points or vouchers, use them now as they will no longer be valid.

Still enjoy playing here and the the senior rate make sit a good deal.

Played 4/16. First time playing here and I would have to agree with the two previous posts. The conditions here are not that good to be honest. And that's a real disappointment especially @ a Troon managed golf course. The tee boxes were torn up and unlevel on a lot of the holes. The fairways were not consistent and often times had bare spots. The sand traps on 17--way too soft and not like any of the other traps along the course...it was very weird and our playing partners all thought the same. If they ever get the course conditions back, this would be a quite challenging course. The layout of the holes is extremely enjoyable and makes for some great views along the front 9. If it weren't for the Red Dot 2-for-1 discount, I would be extremely pissed that a round would cost $90 weekday given the current conditions.

Man, Eagle Glen is tired. They just aerated about 3 weeks ago, so the greens should be coming around. Instead, there's so much poa now that what once was a course known for fantastic greens, it's truly embarrasing now. Unbelievably disappointing. To their credit, they are finally leveling and flattening some of the tee boxes. But this course never seems to be in great condition from top to bottom. The fairways are awful(again!), but the tee boxes are coming around. The greens aren't great, but the staff is very nice and friendly. They just can't seem to get everything together and be on the same page. Fix some things, let other things go. They get new range balls, but completely destroy the old range policy and now they have a new, totally lame range policy that is comical....and expensive. This course used to be the crown jewel for Troon Golf in all of SoCal. Now, Eagle Glen, you guys need a nap, you're tired.

Probably the worst conditioned course I've played in my last 50 rounds. There were brown or bare spots on essentially every single fairway. The majority of the tee boxes were sloped or uneven. Often times it was difficult to tell where one cut of grass stopped and another started (Ex: fairways blend to rough). Greens were very slow, though generally consistent through the course.

Overall I felt the course conditions were like a Muni course, certainly not worth the greens fee, even $55 for twilight like we paid.

We played on a Sunday afternoon, April 7th, 2007, in 4:45.

Greens were sanded a couple weeks ago, light sand, fast and very tricky, no holes, havent been here for awhile,forgot about the breaks and visual tricks this place plays on you. $52 for senior, kinda high but, you get a real upscale golf experience, no houses,no noise, very fun lay-out and sometimes hard golf course. Staff is very professional and friendly. The greens make this place for me, some long par 4s and then you gotta putt. Dont be too far on the high side of the hole!. I feel sorry for those behind us,as a group of very nice ladies immediately fell behind a couple of holes and stayed there the whole round. The marshal had to try to move them but as I said they were very nice and it was toooo hard to get tough on them. Eagle Glen has a reputation for a little slow play, its OK as the scenery and golf course needs a little viewing. This course gets crowded during the week days, and I know why, its a terrific track. In a week or two the greens will be monsters, just the way we like them, we are going back soon.

Greens were bumpy due to aeration, but alright. The rest of the course was great. We played 3/23/07 and finished in exactly 4:30 min.
