This long time private course turned public in December 2009. (Yehey!!) But honestly it has been a mixed feelings for me as I've enjoyed this course for many years in reciprocation from another club. But then things in the world economy changed things and I am glad that the community, the public, supports it now. This is a great thing and it means this great fun to play course will stay alive and therefore, it now belongs to all of us and everyone will now have the opportunity to enjoy it.

The course was designed in the '50s by the same original designer of Torrey Pines or Sandpiper. Though it's not as tough as Torrey and Piper by the Pacific waters, you may see some of similar bunkerings and a little taste of its classic greens in its high desert home.

This course has always had a very good rating from me in the past with its firm but not cement hard greens and not so fast, running fairways with strategic bunkerings for long and short play, and it has got some pretty level tees. Yes there are a few water holes included. This course is surrounded by real estates so you may see some of the home outlining the course properties that are old and well kept. But I don't care too much for their driving range as drivers will easily go over the fence.

Their clubhouse is old, clean and functioning and their food is always served hot... and I like their food. they have cold sandwiches, too.

I think this course has a lot to offer anyone who is looking for a good golf time. I can't wait to go out there with some or all of GK friends and acquaintances... I mean buddies!

It wouldn't be surprising to see many of the Green Tree GC and other local players become regulars here.
