Was out here on vay-kay and this was the only course under three bills I could find. Thought I made a wrong turn and was in Kentucky, as there was actually someone on the driving range practicing barefoot (and teaching his young daughter to the same)!

The starter was a raging a$$hole; among other things, on the first hole, I moved my cart just off the path to let the others in my foursome pass by, and he drove 200 yards out just to tell me not to do that again. Slow play was the name of the game, and the foursome ahead of us had yet another yokel playing in flip-flops, then kicking them off to play his shots. Huh? I got a late afternoon (1:00) tee time hoping to play 36, but we didn't finish 18 until after 6:00 PM.

Tee boxes were pretty sparse (really bothersome on the Par 3s for me), sand traps are all very deep but playable, greens were close to unreadable by everyone in our group. Fairways were in decent shape. When you are on the final Par 5, look for the home with the bay window that practically begs a hooker to break it. How can you live on that hole and not put up mesh screens?

Overall, a disappointing experience.

Played here on 8/22/08. Was told by the pro shop that the greens were in great shape despite being aerated early August, and that the overall condition of the course was in good shape. The greens were mediocre at best. One of the greens was completely unputtable...looked like it was totally dried up and diseased and dirt patches every where (might've been hole 4 or 5). Also, the fairways were very dry and thin and there was no such thing as rough. Tee boxes were ok. The sand traps were nice (what do you expect though the course is in a desert). The layout of the course was very standard and straightforward. Nothing memorable at all. Just your standard desert type golf course. Anyway, for being so far away from the Vegas strip, it should be priced much lower. I think $50 on the weekends would be a fair price (keeping in mind that it's a $50-$60 cab ride there from the Vegas strip).

Nice layout and greens are in great shape. Better to play early AM to avoid windy conditions.

Played 4/02/08 at 10:30 in the morning. It was great and my only complaint was the wind that picked at the 8th hole but that's Mother Nature. The roughs were lush, the greens were really good. I used my Tijeras Creek Card for a fantastic rate for my foursome. Fairways did get tight in some spots. We will be coming back.

Good course. Good mix of holes. Water hazards on several holes that can "distract" but may not be in play. Worth the money.

Played in the late afternoon on Thursday, 10/11/07, on a perfect Vegas Fall afternoon – clear, mild, only light breezes. Course was in pretty good shape – thin, firm but OK fairways, receptive greens that didn’t look great a few weeks after aeration but rolled OK (although they were a little slow), good bunkers. This course in a retirement community is pretty wide open with ample hitting areas and not a lot of trouble. Some housing construction on the back nine, but nice mountain views and well away from the metro area so quiet. Very few people on the course at this time of day and we zipped around in about 3 hours. Recommended.

Made the trip to NLV. This course is still coming into age. Trees and layout still need to maturing. However playing conditions were GOOD. Out of towners need to learn to repair there damage.

first time playing. course was in excellent shape for summer months and rate was great. course is very playable but quite long from the tips which i played because of hard conditions. customer service is excellent but would like to have free range balls which are not included. good chipping area though. only complaint i would have is the very hard bunkers which need to get more sand in them and also some construction along the edges. very nice course and can post a good score here. a good course with great rates!

Played here 5/6/07 ,Great course to play, fairways carry your ball an extra 25-75 yards, depending on how high you hit it. The greens were hard and fast. You must hit short of the green in order for the ball to stay on. Every ball I hit on the green roll off.

I PLAYED HERE SUNDAY, AND THIS COURSE IS IN REALLY GOOD CONDITION, NOT A VERY POPULAR G.C., BUT I THINK THIS IS A DIAMOND IN THE "ROUGH" G.C.. I WAS FORTUNATE TO BE ABLE TO FIND IT AND ENJOY IT. THE FAIRWAYS AND ROUGH ARE WELL MANICURED, WITHOUT ALOT OF ROLLED OUT OR DAMAGED TURN-INS. THE FAIRWAY SEEMS LUSH BUT FIRM, BECAUSE I SEEMED TO GET ALOT OF ROLL OFF MY DRIVES, I HAD A DRIVE OVER 300 AND SEVERAL A280'S. I NORMALLY AVERAGE 240-250. BIG ADVANTAGE TO SCORE, I SHOT 41 ON FRONT 9, MY H.C. IS 18. THE ROUGH IS ALSO CUT ENOUGH TO LET YOUR BALL SIT UP AND GET A GOOD SWING ON IT. THE SAND TRAPS HAVE GOOD QUALITY FLUFFY SAND AND MAKES IT EASY TO "BLAST" IT OUT.
THE GREENS ARE IN GREAT CONDITION, PUTTS ROLLED VERY NICE AND TRUE.
I WILL PLAY THIS AGAIN

Played here on 5/19, started the round at 12 noon. The course was in outstanding condition, except for the traps. Had to go in 3 of them and I didn't even leave a footprint.....wow! Even better was the fact that the starter was bragging about how deep and soft the sand was (maybe he was thinking of another course he works at, I'm not too sure).
But the course itself is a nice course that is not difficult to play if you can hit the ball straight with any consistency. A word of caution if you play here, There are A LOT OF HOUSES on the course edges, crowding the course and more construction going on all around it. I have never played a course with this many homes on it.
Overall, the course was great, but the surroundings..... bleh.

Played on 4/14. This course was in great condition. Greens were true and fast. Fairways were cut low and lush. You can see most green from the tee box, but the $1 I paid for the yardage card was well spent. Worth the drive from the strip to play. Excellent condition.

Played 3/31/2007 on a perfect late winter day in Vegas – mid-80s, sunny, no wind. This course is located in Sun City and gets a lot of play from retirees. Course design is generally pretty flat and open, without a lot of trouble immediately adjacent to wide fairways, and greens without any severe undulations. Course condition was very good, with close-cut but good fairways, firm greens that rolled well, good quality sand in bunkers, some of them pretty deep, and some greens have a lot of sand around them. Front nine is very open with back getting a little more challenging with deeper traps, pedestal greens, minor water. Overall a good challenge for mid-to-high handicap golfers. Better players likely to find it bland. Plenty of water available, cart girl came by often, friendly service in pro shop, by starter, and by rangers. Views of the Sheep Mountains dominate views, especially on the back nine. Homes are generally fairly small and aren’t intrusive – be aware of the many rock-filled drainage ways that run along many holes, and to which the edges of the fairway slope. With the fairways firm and cut close, a lot of good-looking shots wind up in the rocks. Recommended.

Played course on 12/23/06. Course design was rather ordinary. Nothing too crazy for desert golf. Overall conditions were great and the greens were blazing fast-I played Rio Secco the day before and these were quicker. Fairways are fairly generous and course gives you the chance to put some low number s up. Great views of the mountains as well. Worth the 30 minute drive from the strip.

Played on 7/30/2006 on OB sports rate. Layout is nice, conditions good. Fairways are cut tight and rough is short. Almost prefer to be on the rough. Greens are good and fast. Staff is nice and this is a good value.

Played this course on 18 Jun for $30 with OB Sports card. Even at this price I can not recommend this course. They are losing the course. All the grass seems to be dying. The fairways are in poor condition and in dire need of water. The bunkers are very inconsistent. Most of them have little sand and are very firm. The rock hard greens are quite bumpy. Maybe the course is overplayed....may try again next year.

Course shape has been improving. Greens and fairways are firm and fast. Pace of play is usually on the slow side.

Only problem with this course is the impenetrable tee boxes - better have sharp tees. It is a good deal in the over-priced Las Vegas market. Good staff and course condition.

Aliante is solid course with a variety of hole selections. Still shows its youth, but maturing correctly. Greens need a little more touch, but will happen in the future. Course plays long from the tips and if you desire to go "risk/reward" on the par 5's ,t is great scoring course. Wind is factor and maturity will make this a true challenge of golf. Staff and Restaurant is a delight for a 19th hole experience.

Had the pleasure of playing this course late summer at reduced rate (OB Summer Player's Card). Although a few fairways were adjacent to housing construction and cart paths meandered over some rough terrain the course itself was very enjoyable, links-style, as it is still immature with no bushy trees. The on-course staff, starter and 1st tee marshall, were very friendly. Early morning clouds allowed our foursome to enjoy playing without breaking a sweat. The course still offers some very nice but time-restricted green fee discounts through on-line non-course vendors (like golf702.com). Definitely worth a visit.

Nice course. Needs to recover from the summer players that come out and don't repair there ball marks. Overall this course once mature will blossom into a good layout. Similiar to Sierra Lakes and Yuciapa in CA.

The tee boxes are "cement like" and there are many greens with tons of ball marks. OK course but there are many better courses for the price!

played last week. solid resort course for a decent price. given its young age it doesn't get much play, reflected in the relatively great price. low green fee, low score, and quick round.
