I decided to work on the short game with my 10 year old today(1/4/21) at the Old Arcadia Par 3 and practice facility. This place had been one of the places I used to go as a kid. The check-in was smooth and easy and we were off in no time. It did not appear that anyone was close to us at first but we did catch the old ladies club by the 10th tee. This is the only pure par 3 course that I have seen that allows people to rent a cart. At first I was sure this was for seniors but later found out just about anyone can rent a cart. Why you would need to rent a cart other than for physical reasons is far beyond me. The course is only 1947 yards, with every hole about 100-120 yds. The two longest are 153 and 134. While walking to each hole I noticed another pin of a yellow hue just off the back of each green. I had no idea that they allow foot golf to happen on this course while people are playing regular golf. To me this creates chaos, as balls are rolling in front of you, some people are in carts, and others are playing 3-5 balls a hole. Not ideal.

While I do not agree with foot golf being used at the same time as regular golf, the Arcadia Par 3 course is a fun little par 3 with well taken care of greens. Some of the mats need to be replaced, but the driving range is nice and those mats appeared brand new. They also claim to use the best practice balls on the range anywhere in LA county. Not sure what these guys have going on here, but if you are looking to get the short game going, practice at a decent range, or play a round of footie... this is the place for you.

FOOT GOLF IS RUINING GOLF!!!!! 10 foot golfers on one hole six on another with a guy golfing with them. Everyone yelling screaming goofing off soccer balls flying everywhere. This is the stupidest thing a golf course can do. I will NOT be back. If I wanted to go to the park on Sunday afternoon I would. This is a golf course for God's sake!

Played here several times this past May and the course is in fantastic condition. The greens were punched end of April and are in great shape now. Greens are soft but the putts roll smooth. Only complaint I have is I wish other players would fix their ball marks and stop spitting their sunflower seed onto the greens.

GKer Eaglee and I met up here this morning as a little warm-up before the SCGA outing at Glendora CC. One of few courses nearby neither of us had played, and it was a cheap and easy option. We had a 6:35 tee time for a $16 walking rate. When we got there, the gate was locked and there were a few other golfers milling around waiting for the pro shop guy to show up. People started sneaking around the side through another fence and we followed along. After waiting a little while longer, everyone just decided to go off and pay later, so that's what we did. Somehow, we ended up going off first as the only twosome, so we had a nice pace to ourselves.

The guy was there when we finished 18, but paying afterward was no big deal and everything worked out OK. Just kind of funny. The course was in really nice shape for a little pitch and putt. Mat tees kind of suck, but grass throughout the course was nice, green and lush. Greens very nice. Super soft and not particularly fast, but smooth and quite well maintained. There are only a handful of small bunkers on the whole course. Neither of us hit into one, but from what I could see the sand looked decent enough.

This is a fun and basic little course with most holes in the 100 yard range and a few longer. Nice place to work on the short game or to take a beginner, and if I lived closer I could see myself heading out from time to time to get an easy round in. There were light posts on the course, so I assume it's lighted at night, too.

Played on 06/03/13. Course is in great shape right now. The only down fall is the tee boxes are mats on this sporty little par 3 course. The greens are in very good shape and because of the mature trees,you will have to be accurate on many of the tee shots. I loved the way they cut the fairways from tee to green. It made every hole look great to the eye. The driving range is nice and on Mondays and Wednesday the pure cut grass is open. This is a very good course to practice up on your short game. Have fun.

Fun little par 3 course with good greens. Greens hold shots very well, they stick right in. People here are pretty good about repairing ball marks. The only problem is that the yardage doesn't seem correct. I used my distance tracker on my phone, and they are usually off. My sand wedge goes 100 yards apparently at this course. Fairways and rough aren't great, but this is supposed to be a tee and green course. Tee boxes are just mats. Still a fun place to play, and they usually have deals for just over 10 bucks for all 18 and a hot dog/chips. 18 chances for a hole in one here!

I like to play this course when I want to keep my short game sharp.
Don't need to take all of your clubs. Take the Driver to 5 iron out of your bag. There is one hole where you'll need the 6 iron. ... Continue »

Don't need to take all of your clubs. Take the Driver to 5 iron out of your bag. There is one hole where you'll need the 6 iron. Recent upgrade to the irrigation system make the course nice and green. I wish more people would fix their divots. Because the greens are nice and soft, short irons make some deep divots. Remember, fix your divot and 2 more while you are waiting for your turn to putt.

Played here today with the ladies from EWGA. It was fun and a little warm. Yes it is only an 18 hole par 3 but it gives one an opportunity to work on their short game. The tees are all mats but the holes range from 79 yards to 150 yards or so. I was surprised there were bunkers on this course. It took us under 3 hours to play 18.

Fairways were in decent shape not too beat up from the heat like some of the other courses I played at. The greens were in good shape with unrepaired ball marks here and there. The sand in the bunkers had decent sand not dirt I'm used to at some of the other courses. It has been awhile since I played here. I like the new upgrade to the driving range. They had some parts of the driving range covered to provide some shade, which is nice. Not bad for the price.
