We were here yesterday for a quarterly tournament. for a 7:30AM shotgun that did not start till 7:53. Our group started on the first tee.

The day was with very little breeze and the temps got up to 108 degrees.

Nevertheless, the course remains to be in the same good quality conditions I've found it to be for about a month or so now and I have nothing to add about its conditions.

However, since today was a tournament day, we had meals and the course helped us organize the tournament which went quite well when it came to food and beverages. I would recommend this place for a nice meal, dessert, and drinks. At the end of the tournament, the collection of scorecards and logging scores on the board including determining the winners and places for the whole tournament was done by Escena staff which was nice, efficient, and accurate.

The only thing we didn't understand was the delay right on the first tee. Other than that, everything were alright.

Played in the afternoon as a single on Thursday 6/4, without a reservation. Ended up playing behind a foursome who let me play through on third hole, then got stuck behind a twosome on fourth hole. Was joined by another single on sixth tee, then we joined the twosome ahead on the seventh tee. Starting just before 2PM, finished in 4 hours, waiting on nearly every shot. Wind blew hard the entire round, making for difficult club selections. I played from orange "Championship" tees (6615 yards/71.7 course rating/125 slope rating).

Course conditions overall were quite good. Tees level and lush, with only minor divot damage on some par 3 holes. Rough was lush but not penal. I did not have to play from any bunkers, but others in the group seemed to escape from them without any trouble. Fairways were generally green and lush, with most divots repaired. Greens were in good shape, generally firm but held well hit shots, and rolled true at medium speed.

When in the area, this is a go to course for me. I enjoy the layout, with wide fairways, not too penal rough, interesting bunkers and waste areas, and large, undulating greens. Morning play is preferred, as the wind often blows hard in the afternoon. Deals on green fees, especially at this time of year.

We played Escena on Sunday, the 24th of May. It was a nice comfortable early morning when we tee it up at 6:15AM, but the winds were there throughout the day at mostly 20-25 miles per hour almost a constant which made it difficult but yet enough to get used to right away.

The conditions remains to be very good and playable. The greens were not fast at all, but I'm probably used to 10-11 stimpr speed as others in my group just say it's medium fast. But not a big deal, the surface is smooth and there are also some deep divots that remains unfixed which are probably from folks from the twilight super good rates in the afternoon as they try and play as fast as they can to finish as much holes they can in a small window of their sunlight. But it isn't anything we can't fix as we putted along our lines so we did what we can.

The bunkers and sand were alright, the fairways are nice and lush and the teeing grounds are just fine.

The pace of play under the wind was just less than 4 hours as we stayed behind the guys in front of us.

Anyway, it was tough to score but still a great day of golf. Escena continues to give out specials everywhere, so if you like this course, now is a good time to pick up a good rate to play it.

bsparks1961 and I decided to squeeze in a second round today and ended up at Escena for $35 a player. We called ahead to confirm that price and just walked on out there a little after 3:00. We cruised through the first 7 holes, even though the wind was howling in this area, then we caught the groups ahead and it was very slow going the rest of the way. Still, about a 3:40 pace. The course was in very good shape overall. It wasn't as green and immaculate as my only other visit here a couple years ago, but there wasn't anything to gripe about. The tee boxes were very nice, the fairways were excellent for the most part and the rough was pretty good. Cut down and not penal at all. The bunkers here had a lot of little pebbles and rocks in them, but were still okay to hit from. The greens were soft and receptive. Putts were perhaps a tad bumpy that late in the day, but most rolled pretty true at medium speeds. This is a solid course. Not the most exciting or memorable layout around and it's a relatively forgiving design (made significantly tougher by the heavy winds), but it's fairly enjoyable throughout. It won't beat you up and most of the greens are pretty simple to figure out. As somebody told me the first time I played here, "whatever you think the break is, cut it in half." That doesn't always hold true, but more often than not putts here are pretty straight.

The course was generally in very good conditions. The bunkers are fine the two that I was in. The teeing grounds are okay. There were some divots, but it is not chewed up. The fairways and rough were still very lush and nice. The greens have a lot of ball marks and you can see that people tried to fix it only it wasn't properly fixed. But it is not horrible to a point that it isn't good to play- it is still good. The green speed was slow but it rolled true and smooth. All in all it was a good experience at Escena. We played this course for $40 today.

Played early morning on 12/27 and was paired with a threesome. Paid $53, which is an absolute steal for a peak weekend. Course is in FANTASTIC shape. Not much else to say about it. Fairways were carpet, greens were rolling true and at the perfect speed (about a 10-11). Although the par 5s are long, they are plenty forgiving and give you plenty of options to hit off the tee. I hit four iron off most since my driver is an idiot. Bunkers are in good shape, the only exception is the main fairway bunker on 18 which is filled with little pebbles. Great round, great course, great value.

Haven't played here since they originally opened years ago. The new course and layout are great. Very lush everywhere. The greens were fair, recently sanded, not severe. Well trapped greens even on the longer 3 pars, had to really plan your approach. Fairways were like carpets. Sand in traps was fine and soft and some deep to make it tougher. Water was only a factor on a few holes but on your mind. 4 sets of tees so you could pick which you felt comfortable playing. Played in 4 hours. Wish I lived in the area so I could play there often.

Recently opened from overseeding and have 90° cart path rule. Tee boxes are a little shaggy but nice and level. Fairways are very good, and rough is very good and playable. The only sand I was in gave me a fried egg lie on the par 3 8th hole, but they seem to be in good condition. The greens were very nice but I was a little surprised at the number of unrepaired ball marks on them. The greens also had what I would call a "sticky" feel. Despite looking quick, they rolled quite slow.
