Three months ago this course was in great shape, but it is now crap! Finding grass in the fairways is rare, bunkers are like hitting off the cart path and the greens are dying. Construction beginning on the new homes on holes 8,9 & 10 is imminent....oh well.

Absolutely the worst maintenance crew. They place the Blue rocks on the back edge of the tee box, so your back foot is in the rough. Whenever there are trees to side of the box, they'll move the marke... Continue »

Absolutely the worst maintenance crew. They place the Blue rocks on the back edge of the tee box, so your back foot is in the rough. Whenever there are trees to side of the box, they'll move the markers such that you're hitting straight into them. They never touch the bunkers, which are harder than the cart paths....it's better to take an unplayable and drop behind it. The fairways and greens are very nice....that is the plus. Although we had a worker cutting the rough to the side of us, who was wearing headphones just chewing up fallen branches while he was a mere 10-15 yards away from us. This crew is oblivious to the fact that they are working on a golf course.

Had not played here since September 2005. Didn't have a great deal of recall about the course, other than it was on a short side. We had the second time off, so having arrived early, as is my custom, I was able to convince the lead foursome to allow my bride and I to get off first. They were very accommodating about that, as was the pro shop, which was very much appreciated. As a result, teed off at a couple minutes before 6am and putted out on 18 at about 8:05, and except for waiting for maintenance on one hole, pace was delightful.

The golf course was in really nice condition. The fairways and greens were absolutely soaked. There was so much water on the course, it was almost like playing after a heavy rain. Needless to say the course was very green and lush. Greens rolled well, but in part due to all the moisture, were too slow for my taste. Probably later in the day when they dry out, they'd be fine. I was in two bunkers and both were not good. The sand was hard and compacted. Fairways were very good, but the rough was fair at best, closer to poor.

The course was better than I remember. Played "tips" so they were still a few tough holes, but generally it was fun to have a lot of short irons into greens. (Kind of tells me maybe it's time to "play it forward" ) Had a very nice time, so I doubt it will be 11 years until I return again.

Decided to play here today, after not playing here for several years. Customer service at check in was great. Don the starter got us right off. We started a little later than normal so pace of play was just over 4 hours (and would have been even better with an earlier start). Course is in very nice shape. Tee boxes were clean and tee receptive (but some could use a little leveling). Fairways were mowed (and being cleaned after the rain) and provided good lies and good roll. Some on the back had been aerated due to the dry summer (course is now being irrigated with reclaimed water) but did not really effect play. Bunkers were in good shape and caused no problems (nor heard any). They are also strategically placed on many holes and can cause problems if not played correctly. Greens were in nice shape. Devoid of divots (always good) but while appearing fast, they were a little slow but fine after you figured that into the next time you putted. Greens are large and have little ridges/mounds that will test your putting. Course had water stations at decent intervals around the course. While this course is shorter than most, it provides a good challenge, given the water on the course at certain holes, as well as the many trees that can come into play off the tee, with errant shots. Rough was tall and thick. Fully enjoyed the round and will come back to play again.

Went out for a value round today. Through TeeOff.com with a promo code, it ended up being just $13.99 for an 11:52 time. A friend joined me and it wasn't too busy out, so we teed off a little after 11:00 along with another single behind a threesome. Things moved along OK on the front nine, but then we caught the massive wall of old dudes ahead. Things were really backed up on 10, so we got creative and found a huge opening ahead of these groups on the 13th hole. It saved us a ton of time as we played the final 6 holes and then came back around to finish 10-12. Total pace for us was around 3.5 hours, when it would have been closer to 5 if we had stuck where we are. I don't like jumping around, but I'm glad we did today because there were a handful of member groups moving in slow motion and that messed the whole course up. I was expecting poor conditions and things were far from great here today, but no worse than most low-end SoCal courses this winter. The greens were in very good shape. A bit slow, but soft and rolling smooth. The tee boxes were generally beat-up. The fairways were thin and inconsistent. The rough was very inconsistent with a bit of everything to deal with, so you never knew what kind of lie you'd get. I was in a few sand traps and they all had very good sand. For the price we paid and the fact we were able to shave some time off our round by taking matters into our own hands, it worked out well in the end. I had only played this course once many years ago. It's nothing too exciting, but kind of fun. Short, target layout with plenty of houses, trees and small water hazards in play. Definitely favors a right-to-left ball flight off of many tees. However, as long as you keep it safe here you can score really well. I won't be any rush to come back, but okay enough with a super cheap rate like we had today.

I was in Ontario for my daughters gymnastic competition. After unloading a semi worth of equipment to help set up I wanted to golf. I wasn't able to score a invite to Red Hill today as these things can be difficult last minute. So I went to upland hills. The only nice thing I can say is that the greens were in good shape. Place was empty got in 9 holes in a hr 15 walking

This course is god awful now. I don't remember it being so bad.. you are hitting out of dirt in the middle of the fairway.. I enjoy the small narrow challenge but conditions are bad.. and they charge an insane amount... $39.00 in the morning and $27 for twilight... empire down the street is 20x in better shape and cheaper.. sorry Upland

I played Upland Hills CC with a junior student of mine who I started teaching at age 7 and he is now a big lad at 17. We got an online rate of $23 for Sunday golf at 1:15pm with a cart. I have played the course many times and this is a bargain for a fun smaller course.

The course was quite empty, we went off as a two-some, picked up a single along the way, he left, then we picked up a different single once we finally ran into a four-some after about 8 holes.

Management appeared to be letting the grass grow quite long all over the place. The tee boxes were cut OK, but the rough length was very very long and the greens were very very slow and soft. Not necessarily bumpy, but they were long like they were recovering from aeration. This made the uphill putts more challenging, and I would advise to practice distance putting on this course to get the right feel.

Overall condition was fine, a great value for $23 plus the booking fee. The bunkers were not raked, so the sand had settled down, which always makes bunkers firm and I needed to be careful about bouncing off of the hard packed sand and blade one across the green. I watched my junior do that on one hole, but thankfully I was able to adapt.

Pace of play was normal, we did get behind 4 ladies, but it was about what you would expect in terms of pace of play. I think we finished in under 4 hours. There was a marshall out on the course and a girl selling drinks, so I thought that was great for this small course to help the players on the course.

They have a free refills soda bar if you get the large size, so I always recommend those haha.

Good value and a fun round. I would like to see the greens faster and the rough cut shorter once they have recovered from aeration.
