Enjoy the course - good for the novice - wide fairways.

Course is wide and long. Very little trouble except for the grass length.

Some spots were a little mushy but all in all, course in great shape. For 23 to walk, it was excelent, day warmed up nicely as well. Greens smooth and fairways pretty nice.

I played Jack Clark "South" on 10/29/06. I was extremely disappointed in the condition of the greens. On both nines there was numerous areas of what appears to be fungus developing, leaving complete bare spots. On the front nine the greens had been mowed with a mower that leaked hydraulic fluid. I would not recommend wasting money until they find another head greenskeeper to maintain the greens. I informed the pro shop of the conditions and was told that you should see the ratty condition of the head greenskeeper's personal home lawn. Change in personnel needs to be made immediately!

The "South" course, as we call it in the Bay area, was in very good shape after the month of heavy rains in the late spring. Still a few wet areas, mostly in or near the rough areas. Greens were in very good shape and running true, I just wish I could putt a little better. Walked and played in 3.5 hours, no rush or holdups. The course will only improve as the summer wanes. Enjoyable!

Played this course on 5/13/06. Weather conditions great, low 70's no wind. Bunkers were still firm, but should be dried out by the end of this week. Course has not been acerated yet and is in good shape. They won't be acerating the course till after spring sometime. Staff is always friendly, for a muni course and a non-resident rate of $35.00 it's a good deal. Much better than playing Sharp Park or Lincoln. Only problem is that if your going back over the Bridge Bridge, traffic can get backed up. Use Fastrak.
