Walked the Orange tees this afternoon 6/12/23 with my buddy Matt joined by two brothers. Our pop was 4 hrs 10 minutes as the group in front of us quit after 9 holes and we flew around the back nine when they left. Weather was damp with no wind and around 62 degrees. Very friendly pro shop staff, range on mats, big putting green with seperate bunker/chipping area. You know when the driving range is lusher than most courses Fairways your in for great conditions. Fairways were a 9 out of 10 best conditions in the Fairways I have seen in VC County this year. Padded, lush lies wall to wall green. Tees very lush, level and in great shape. They re-sodded 4 tee which looks great. 9/10 Greens were soft from overnight light rains holding shots very nicely. Some of the back nine greens felt firmer like hole 10. Rated 8/10 Rough along the Fairways 2 to 3 inches lush and in good shape. Rated 8/10 Was not in any bunkers but the bunkers here look beautiful, raked with ample beach sand. Now is the time to play Soule. Highly recommended.

Played 5-11-23 early morning walking as a single for $39 and finishing in a little over 2 1/2 hours. Tee boxes were in good shape, mostly level, and cut tight with minimal damage on par threes. Fairways were in nice shape, green and lush with nice lies and decent roll out. Rough is in good condition, playing at about 1-2 inches and fairly easy to hit from. Was in a couple of greenside bunkers that were in really good shape with a good layer of nice white sand. Greens were playing medium/soft and rolling smooth with an occasional minor bump. Overall course is really nice condition right now and very green. Haven't played here since all the rain so it was interesting to see some of the changes. Course routing is still the same but some of the visuals have changed. On some of the walls in the creeks they now have big boulders to shore them up, looks great. The bunker that was to the left of the 13 hole has been washed away and the left side of the green is right on the edge of creek. The cart path that was just short of the 15 green is gone, and the rock wall that is there now is much closer to the green then it used to be. They have done a great job with taking care of the damage done by all the rain.

Walked the Orange Tees Monday 4/17/23 teeing off around 12:45pm joined by my buddy Matt and a nice single that joined us from Marina Del Rey. Weather was in the low 60s and about a club breeze so pretty much almost perfect weather. Pop was 4 hrs 40 minutes which was relaxed with the amount of people on the course. Wanted to give a few updates on the course before I get into the conditions as I have played here a couple times since the big rains. The regular routing of tbe course is back to normal and they have made almost finishing touches on the bridge walking from 10 green to 11 tee and 16 tee to 16 green. 16 par 3 is now playing its regular length. Only change at this time is they are still working on the area just in front of 15 green. So this great hole is now playing as a short 300 yd par 4 with a temporary green in the middle of the fairway. The water running through the creek around the property is majestic right now and gives Soule even more ambiance. My buddy and I ate on their patio resturant Zadies overlooking this beautiful property. They have great burgers and some good beers on tap. Course is in really good condition with the greens running a little slower than normal at this time. They are very soft and still putt pure. Big surfaces where good lag putting is important. Would rate them a 7.5/10. The fairways are in very good shape. Mostly lush and very green for early spring. The next few months the fairways should be in their best shape. Rated 8/10 Tees all level and lush and in good shape. Even the par 3 Tees were mostly filled in nicely. Rated 8/10. Was in greenside bunker on hole 8 that had great sand in it easy to splash out of. The bunkers here can be deep with big lips and must be avoided. Rated 8.5/10. Rough was mowed down just off the fairways and in decent to good shape. Rated 7.5/10. Great prices, great walk, very fun layout, great conditions, friendly staff, good food....highly recommended

Walked the Oak Tees today teeing off just before noon with a 5 hr POP on a packed course under sunny skies mid to high 50 temps and maybe a one club wind.

As most know Ventura County got hit pretty hard from the rains these last couple of weeks. I had seen pics of the course and am happy to say the soul is still here at Soule Park. Just a couple of changes before I get into the conditions. They did not lose any greens, tees or fairways thank goodness. They are working on the edges just pass the bridge between 10 and 11 and also working on some irrigation spots throughout the course. The only current change is the 16th hole is now an 80-100 yd par 3 on the other side of the creek but I saw the normal
tee box on 16 being reseeded and it looks nice. I'm assuming once the work is done around the bridge it will be back up to its regular length. Currently the routing of the course has you play 1,2,3..then 15, 11,12,13,14,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,16,17,18.

Greens were super soft today and rolling beautiful. Very damp with ballmarks sinking in more. Rated 7.5/10

Fairways were wet, semi lush and playing decently. Very little roll today. Rated 7/10. With this much rain Soule is going to have a great year when the weather warms up.

Tees mostly level and lush and in good shape. Rated 7.5/10

Was not in any bunkers but from what I saw they looked beautiful and raked considering the rain we have received.

Rough was in good shape. Thick, wet and juicy. Rated 7.5/10

Cool to hear the river rushing through and around the course. River has made the carry over 2 tee and to 15 green slightly longer.

As always awesome staff, layout, weather and prices. Conditions will only improve to very good into spring. Highly recommend.

Played 12-22-22 early morning walking for $34, joining a threesome and finishing in a little under 4 hours. Tee boxes were nice, they were level with good coverage. Fairways were in good shape, starting to turn a little dormant, but still good coverage with nice lies and decent roll out. Rough was cut pretty low, so not much of a factor and in about the same shape as the fairways. Was in a couple of greenside bunkers that had a good layer of real nice white sand. Greens were in good shape, rolling smooth and true but a little bit slower than normal. Overall good conditions for winter. Highly recommend playing.

Walked the Orange Tees this morning 9/19/2022 with my buddy Matt at 11:40am under perfect weather conditions Temps in the high 70s with a light breeze. We played as a 2some and had a comfortable POP at 4 hrs. Last round here was in May and the conditions out here are terrific considering it will be fall soon and it gets very hot in Ojai the last 3 months. Fairways were very lush with great lies throughout. You still get some roll and hitting irons here is such a treat. Rated 9/10 The greens were in great shape with just minimal ballmarks. They were rolling pure and were very soft and receptive on approach shots. Rated 8/10 Tees were all sanded and it looks like mostly all tee boxes were recently leveled. For me as long as they are level I'm good. Rated 8/10 Was in one bunker greenside on 16 that was in great shape. All bunkers have that white thick fluffy beach sand. Rated 8.5/10 Rough was in good shape just off the fairways, fairly uniform couple inches long. Rated 8/10 Just love Soule Park. It's in such great shape and it always has fit my eye. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area. Great track in good condition

Played on Saturday, 6/25, at 6:30am, day 2 of our GK weekend with John_T and Williebeamon14. We were joined by a local and prepaid $44 each online (no extra fees). The 6:20 group was waiting for someone so they traded to get us out early and we finished in exactly 4 hours. Course was in very good condition. Absolutely lush fairways that were carpet like. Rough was about 2-3 inches closer to the fairway but gradually faded away from the fairway. A few bunkers were still pretty wet but as it warmed up, they dried out, but still a bit heavy. Just about half the greens seemed to have a fungus issue causing some dirt areas, which seemed to be almost out of play with the hole placements today. However, it will be interesting if they can get it under control. Full disclosure, I love Soule Park. There's just something about this course that makes me happy. Design. Conditions. Experience. Views. And a steal of a price. I would play here every time if I could, but early, as the late afternoon rounds tend to slow down. Only complaint, no bartender until 10, no drink cart either, but cold water coolers on the course. Food was good afterwards.

Played here with a 7:10 tee time Sunday morning. Three of us rode while one person in our group walked. Started a few minutes late and pace was pretty slow at about 4:50. No long waits, but just a busy course on a weekend morning. Perfect weather to start but by about 10:00 a.m. it was very hot.

Conditions are very good. Greens are smooth, medium speed and held full shots well. I found them tricky to read, over-reading some breaks and significantly under-reading others. Greens on Nos. 8 & 9 had many problem spots in some areas, but they seemed to place the pins strategically to avoid those areas. Fairways were fantastic, and so was the primary rough. The natural areas farther offline can provide some real challenges for finding balls. Bunkers had very nice sand. Orange tee boxes were good; no complaints.

This was only my second time here. I really enjoy the layout and the gorgeous setting. I didn't remember so many power lines visible from the course, however. Definitely recommended.

Walked the Orange Tees this afternoon 5/9/22 at 1:20pm with my buddy Matt with about a club wind on the front nine and around 70 degrees perfect day for golf. Pop was 4 hrs behind a mini lady's tourney. They just played the front and we flew around on the back nine as a twosome.

Very friendly/professional golf staff in the shop. The restaurant/bar is completed and it looks beautiful. Range on mats/nice sized putting green with a seperate chipping/bunker area behind the 18th green.

Man driving in you can see what great shape Soule is in. They had a women's open qualifier here recently and they really have the tees, fairways and rough super lush and beautiful. The fairways are in the 9. 5/10 range like butter. Perfect Palm Springs lies. Rough is lush 2 to 3 inches lining the fairways and in beautiful shape 8.5/10. Tees lush and mainly level 8.5/10. Greens were rolling medium speed today. Some of the greens were browning in areas as I'm sure they had them rolled and smooth for the ladies event. They held shots and rolled beautiful 8/10. Was in bunker on 17 that had perfectly raked sand. All the bunkers have white fluffy pancake material . Rated 8.5/10.

I recently played North Ranch and Saticoy CC and this course right now is right up there with these conditions. Probably the best maintained public course right now in the area.

Highly recommended.
