THIS IS ONE TOUGH COURSE!! First, tough to find. I would NEVER have found it by myself without MapQuest. It's stuck in the middle of some neighborhood and without my nephew's knowing where it was, I'd have been lost. Water comes in to play on sevral holes and is located in places that make club selection "interesting." The greens were hard yet too d%mn slow. I've putted faster on shag carpeting!! The sand bunkers have rocks in them. Yes, I said ROCKS!! It was like hitting out of concrete the sand was so hard. Nice layout, great service from the cart girls, starter (gave us some free range balls to hit!!), and pro shop. We had a cooler stocked with water provided by the course and the cart guys were great too. If I had to do it over again, I'd prefer an easier course, but if I was looking to totally challenge my game, this woulld be the place to do it!

Course in great shape - some bare spots but not bad for the middle of summer. Tee'd off at 7am on a Saturday and played in under 4 hours! Worth playing just for the course history.

Stay away from this course right now they have lost the course due to water problems!!! When we called they said was in great shape !! That is why they will not get my business anymore. The rate was fine but not for all the bare spots had 5 birdie putts of under 15 feet and it was just luck I made one due to bare and bumpy spots on the green. Go elsewhere!!

played on 7/23 at 1000am for discount local rate of 35 dollars with 5 dollar range card and bottle of water. good deal! pace of play was best i have ever seen nobody out here at our time although did see backup on back side when we were on front. great day to play cloud cover kept it cool for first 12 holes. the course condition was average. best sand traps in vegas imported from florida i heard. the greens were average hard and some bumpy but playable. fairways were a mixed bag same for teeboxes. they were having plumbing problems so only bathrooms were on the course!!. played from tips which makes the 4 par 3's extremely challenging but fun. the word on the street is this may be last year for this parkland course in vegas one of the few left with a abundance of trees since everyone is going to desert landscaping. if you do not like desert courses this is the course for you in vegas but i would not pay tourist rates at this course. better options in vegas but still fun course to play.

Played on 07/7/07 with a tee time before 6:00am, had set up two groups for a buddy's wedding and each of us had a threesome. Except for the first couple of holes it felt like no one was on the course but our group. The previous reviews of the course left me with the impression that the course has seen better days. I was pleasantly surprised to find the course was in good shape. Yes there was some work going on around some of the lakes, but for the most part the course seemed to be well manicured. The putts rolled true, however the greens were a little hard. I did get the benefit of a half price tee time through my time share, so that made the price a little more bearable, and if I had to play full price I probably would've checked out one of the other courses if only to see what they looked like. I will be back in the future.

There are better options in the valley. Green fees are pretty high considering the quality of the course.

Great location. A little pricey for what you get. Some of the holes on the back 9 were better than expected.

Just played 2/23/07. With the exception of the guy in the shop, the rest of the staff very helpful. The course was in decent shape, although quite a few bare patches on fairways and greens. Really liked the flow of the back 9 and the last few holes were great. Cannot beat the location so close to the strip but still a little pricey for a morning tee time for what you get.

Course is in fair shape for having a lot of traffic. I play the course 10+ times a year, I have noticed that the customer service has improved within the last month from 2 to 5; yet, they still need to make improvements. This course once held PGA events. Need make small improvements to earn that respect again.

Played 9/7/06 in warm, sunny weather. Had played here ~6 times in the past year. Almost deserted despite nice weather and low afternoon rates. Course was in generally good condition, but greens were firm, rough and very slow. Won't be going back here, however, as my car was broken into and items stolen while I was playing.

Played at 5PM on 7/26/06; good bargain at super-twilight rate. Very few people on the course, so pace was very good, and we were surprised to be able to finish just before dark. Pro shop warned us that greens were a little rough because of the summer heat, and they were a little bumpy and patchy, though receptive and generally good. Rest of course in good shape. Flat course with generous hitting areas and not too much trouble if you avoid water hazards and some large bunkers. Not primo Vegas golf, but recommended with available discounts.

Played 6/14/2006 on a great late afternoon rate of $25. Course is much improved over last year - greens were aerated a few weeks ago but are almost peaking - they were in very good shape, firm and pretty fast. I've watched continued improvement in conditions while playing here ~6 times in the past year - it's right down the street from my office. Rest of the course also good - tight cuts on the fairways. Lots of fluffy sand in the bunkers. Pace has been a problem in the past, but things were moving well today. Not a top-line Vegas course, but recommended if you can get a good price.

Played 4-14. Old course, but fun. Greens were in good shape but VERY slow. Rest of the course was in fair shape. Not worth the "out of town" fee of $150 to play, but was fun course.

Played 3/23/06 on a sunny afternnon with a light breeze. Same situation as 2 weeks ago - average conditions, abominable pace. Front side took 3 hours - round finished in total darkness in 4.5+ only because everyone else left when it started getting dark. No attempts by course to move play, and with perfect weather no reason for play to be this slow. If they don't care, why should I?

Played 3/9/2006 on a windy, sunny afternoon. Had played here in July 2005 and greens were in bad shape, almost half dirt. Greens today were much improved, very firm but rolled well and no bare spots evident. Fairways were generally tightly cut but in overall good condition. Mixed bag with tee boxes – some of the par 3s were being sanded/sodded, and temporary or other boxes were severely torn up. Lots of new fluffy sand in the bunkers, which I visited way too often. Horrible pace, with combo of poor players and those who just don’t have any concept of how to keep play moving, so we played 17 by Braille and couldn’t see on 18. What do course “ambassadors” do, really? Overall average conditions for Vegas area courses at a reasonable price.

The course was OK but not worth the money. The greens were sparse of grass. The rest of the course was good.

Geens were patchy and the price was high. I booked on the internet and when I got there they said it was the wrong price, but let me play at the lower rate. I was really happy about that, because I would have been dispointed more if the price was raised by $30.00.

I've never played Las Vegas national when the greens are in decent shape. They are very, very patchy. The GPS system on the carts is very outdated, and the greens fees are way too high for the general condition of the course. It's in worse shape than most municipal courses.

I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE GREENS, MAYBE IT WASN'T THE GREENSKEEPER FAULT, I WAS TOLD THAT HAD FUNGUS THAT IS RUINING THE GREENS, THE REST OF THE COURSE IS VERY ENJOYABLE TO PLAY. FAIRWAYS ARE KEEP IS GOOD CONDITION, AND THE ROUGH IS 1-2" BUNKER SAND IS BEAUTIFUL IT HAS POWDER WHITE SAND AND THE BEST HOLE WOULD PROBABLY BE #13 PAR 3. IT HAS WATER TO THE RIGHT AND PROTECTED WITH BUNKERS. IF IT WASN'T FOR THE DYING GREENS I WOULD SAY THIS IS A VERY NICE COURSE TO PLAY. IT IS VERY TRADITIONAL WITH MATURE TREES THROUGHOUT THE COURSE. I WILL BE BACK IN TWO WEEKS FOR A TOURNAMENT THERE. I HOPE THEY CAN FIX IT BY THAN?

Remember to bring your coupon. $59 with cart folks a great deal for the course. Damage to green was a major disappointment but greens rolled remarkably true if you didn't second guess break with "added features." Suspect it was migrating bird/crow damage. Tee boxes were remarkably flat except for a few bowl shaped ones. Fairways were lush and firm providing for longer than expected drives. God bless the desert. Bunkers had two types of sand. Suspect they were changing out a few of the bad ones and several bunkers were under repair; most noted was the 16 and 17 holes. Great little course for the discount they provided with coupon and would recommend playing course since it is 1/3 of their walk up rates.

Played 7/27/05 at 4:30 PM, so the course was mostly deserted. Fairways in overall decent condition, but bunkers were hard and rocky with little sand, and most greens had extensive bare areas and little grass. Nice layout, with challenging par 3s, but greens condition really makes this a course to avoid, given what else is available in the LV area."

from tee to green the course is in good condition, greens were horribly bad but customer service was top notch.
one of the very few traditional courses in Vegas. Good Layout, tight fairways. worth playing only if the greens recover.
