My only negative is that the three traps I was in were very firm. Otherwise excellent customer service. Nice practice facilities. Always an enjoyable experience!

They are doing the over seeding of the fairway this week and the aerating will be on Oct 15 & 16.

9/30 800 tee off on a great SC fall am occasional light breeze with abundant sunshine and a nice 355 POP with just occasional waits in the beginning and briefly at the turn. Fairways are closely mowed providing good rolls and good lies with ample cushion as the course is well watered. Rough comes into play around the greens more than along the fairways and can present a challenge especially when hitting over a bunker to a short sided pin. Tees ok overall and bunkers generally filled with deep heavy sand. Greenside # 3 had not yet recovered from overnight watering and was rather soupy. Greens are really good smooth with consistent speeds getting appropriately quicker from the warmth of the sun. Soft enough to be receptive for full shots but firm enough for chips. The 6 zones used on the greens for pin placements provide for a good variety of challenges and more so today with some locations strategically tucked near the edges or placed to take full advantage of the contours. Maintenance is scheduled for 10/15 16 on the greens and the fairways are being over seeded starting 10/3 so if you could get out in the next 2 days go for it or if you dont mind the fairway work and want to enjoy the really good greens get out in the next 3 weeks. Customer service was great a usual.

9/18 POP just under 4 playing leisurely with no waiting and no pressure from behind. Fairways are on the thin side with some remaining evidence of the furrowing that was performed a while back. Lies were ok enough with the soil being relatively soft to avoid bouncing. A few unfilled divots and the "sand" provided looks to have been harvested from a river bed as it is rather course with small rocks included. Rough is mostly a factor near the greens and could be down right penal. Tees are level with good cover. Bunkers have plenty of deep heavy sand that is becoming more consistent as it settles.
Greens were rated a 10 for speed and were consistent for the round. Rolled smoothly with some subtle break near the hole. Really like the 6 zone feature with the large greens the pin placements can be a real challenge. The course has good variety with the exception of the par 3s that are about the same length and 8 and 10 are of very similar appearance. Still too many unrepaired ball marks even with the course giving out free repair tools.
Good customer service as usual.

Played here on Thursday, 9/5 at 8 AM. First time in two months. Staff: always friendly and helpful. Nice practice areas. Greens: Way too many ball marks, many fixed poorly. The GOLFERS need to do a better job repairing THEIR ball marks. Fairways: improved from my last round, not quite as thin. Rough: very playable at 1-3" high. Traps: most have good sand and it's been raked. There are a few traps that are hard and lack sand. POP at 4 hours. Overall, a must play course especially if you have a Palm Card.

Played Arrowood on labor day 9/2/2019. Had a great time on the course despite the slow play and heat. As other reviewers have mentioned they changed to color of the tees I played the old blues which are now silver. It was hot out and there was no wind which combined with the labor day slowness it was a long but still fun day. This course has alot of room off the tees and the greens are relatively big but if you miss the wide fairways or large greens you will be in trouble. They have renamed the closing four holes to be called "The Quandry". I don't know why they picked that word. Were they trying to make an A-Z list of signature hole names? But either way the closing four holes are great with forced carries and a real test at the end.

The current conditions of the course are a little on the dry side with the fairways coming back from maintenance. There are still small lines but they seem to be inconsequential on your shot. The bunkers appear to be getting new and improved sand but there still a few green-side bunkers with the old clay type sand.

I would highly recommend Arrowood to anyone looking for golf in North County San Diego.

Played Sat 8/18 teeing off a little before 1:30 and not much has changed since gary00's review. The de-thatching/verticutting of the fairways is still apparent but doesn't affect play much unless you end up in a small pile of thatch. Fairways should look better in a few weeks I would guess. Tee boxes (black) were differently hit and miss. Most of the larger teeing grounds were fine, but the smaller, tucked boxes (4 and 8 come to mind) had some significant lumps and bumps. Greens were surprisingly receptive but were riddled with unfixed or poorly fixed ballmarks. The sign at the pro shop claimed they were running 10 and that seemed accurate.

Guys in the pro shop were great and we saw the cart girl 4 or 5 times through the round. POP was on the slow side right around 5 hours. Afternoon pricing is quite good in the afternoon and the course is a beast so it's still a recommended visit even if it's a little scruffy in spots right now.

8/12 8am tee off with a 4 hr POP being paired with a slower but enjoyable 2some finished about a hole behind but were not being pushed that much either. Nice weather warmish but with an occasional breeze to stay comfortable.
Currently course is working on the fairways--doing some de-thatching and verti-cutting-resulting in small furrows and tight lies. Rough along the fairways 1-2 inches and mostly playable. Rough around and behind the greens 2-3 inches and difficult. Found myself over a couple of greens by a couple of feet leaving a clumpy downhill lie. Moral being Hit the green dummy.
Bunkers looked to be well filled with deep heavy groomed sand. Tees level with good cover.
Greens medium fast and mostly smooth. Currently more on the softer side resulting in sizable ball marks which were often overlooked or poorly repaired.
Staff is friendly and welcoming.

Played here today at 1:28 in my GK Cup match vs. 14over. Got a great deal on TeeOff.com for just about $28 each. There was a big US Kids Golf tournament that thankfully started right behind us. We played with one other guy and pace was decent; not good, not bad, and we finished in about 4.5 hrs.

The course is in very nice condition. Greens are smooth, medium-fast and accepted full shots very well. Fairways are really nice, maybe the nicest I've ever seen them here. The rough is also very lush and thick in spots. Tee boxes were decent, maybe a little beat up late in the day. Bunkers are the only area that need attention; they are inconsistent from one to the next.

As I've said in previous reviews, this course seems to grow on me more and more each time I play it. Definitely recommended right now!

I play here regularly in the men's club and realized I haven't submitted a review in awhile. The course is almost always in good shape, and the last few weeks are no exception. A few of the bunkers have been replaced with grass and others are being freshened up. Best to play in the morning before the wind picks up if you're looking to score well. The Palm Card is steal, which averages out to a little over $35 a round, weekdays.
