Enjoyed an excellent GK Outing at LPCC with great playing partners JohnnyGK, ag2000, and mpisarski01. Excellent players and outstanding company!

LPCC is a fun Players Course with no hole being the same. This course really kept you in check, but was never unreasonable. The layout was excellent! Really enjoyed this place!

LPCC is a very well-designed course that places premium on accuracy off the tee and into greens. The course features clear definition between its mid-sized fairways and rough areas, well placed bunkering on fairways and proximate to greens, along with some strategic water hazards, with medium sized and reasonably fast greens.

The course is sometimes flat, other times undulating, and sometimes hilly with elevation changes from tee to green, and offers some attractive views of localized mountains and orchards despite running through quality residential housing.

The course plays like a parkland / mountain layout. You will need to work the ball in both directions, as doglegs were a definite theme. Wind speeds were challenging, peaking at 40 - 45 mph when gusting.

The course was very well manicured and in excellent condition. The course layout is rated a 4.5 out of 5, conditions are rated a 4.5 out of 5. I note the following:

Tee Boxes: Level and lush, no damage. Above average condition.

Fairways: Green at times tight. Excellent condition.

Greens: Green, medium-fast in speed, with medium softness. No damage observed. Speed about a 10.5. Excellent condition.

Sand: Well maintained, heavy, and firm. Above average condition.

Rough: rough was well defined from the fairway and green collars but not too overgrown, about 2 – 5 inches. Above average condition.

Waste Areas: Waste areas on various holes did not offer the opportunity of recovery due to their overgrown nature. Above average.

Driving Range: The range is excellent, hitting from artificial turf. You are on a mildly elevated perch hitting into a grass valley with green markers at 100, 150, 200, 225, and 250 yards. Range ran out at about 320ish. Range balls were your typical yellow rangers, but in very good condition.

Chipping Area: Compact in size and included a practice bunker. Condition and features were excellent.

Practice Putting Green: Ample in size and very well maintained. Practice greens seemed consistent with the speed of the course greens. Excellent condition.

POP: 4.0 hours – no wait was encountered on any hole.

The LPCC facility included a snack bar / restaurant, and a very nicely stocked pro shop. Service received was excellent.

I had the breakfast burrito before the round and it was as good as it gets! Then I had Oscar's Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger with Fries for dinner, and it was perfect. The food here is top level!

If looking to join a quality golf club with the emphasis on golf this is a really good one. Really enjoyed this course and certainly wish I could play it more often. If I lived closer, this would be one I would consider joining.

I endorse playing this track if given the opportunity. Looking forward to my next visit here. Thank you Johnny and GK for this outing.

I'm so happy for him and am very thankful to have been there to share this very special moment. I am blessed to say, I saw the shot off the club (3 Hybrid), thru the air, graze the left greenside bunker edge, release nicely into the green, slightly curl right, and fall at a perfect speed into the hole. What a highlight!!!

Let it be known, Hole 9 - playing 206 yards from the tee box, uphill with about a 38 mph trailing wind. It was epic!!!

First time playing here yesterday. Boy, was it a windy one. Carts and practice areas were staged nicely upon arrival. Snack shack was open for breakfast and midround. Clear day, 70º with 30+ mph winds, making it a tough scoring day.

First time playing here yesterday. Boy, was it a windy one. Carts and practice areas were staged nicely upon arrival. Snack shack was open for breakfast and midround. Clear day, 70º with 30+ mph winds, making it a tough scoring day.

Conditions were fantastic. Even after 13" of rain, the only tough part was the sand traps. Fairways were perfect, with no mud, and the same was true for 905 of the rough. Greens were a little firm and fast but rolled perfectly (with the exception of the wind blowing leaves and sticks all over). I really enjoyed the layout, with a good mix of par 3s and fun par 5s.

What made the day even better was our Fearless Leader, Johnny Gk, finally securing his ACE!

A red flag day! Showed up to the GK Las Posas event, and was paired with JohnnyGK, Mark_6m, and Mpisarski01. We started on hole 17, and learned that this wind was gong to make things incredibly tough. In sections this course can be tight, and with the wind any hope we had of scoring a "best round" was quickly diminished. Yet we had a great time, everyone in the group had a birdie, and 3 of us won the closest to the pin contest on the par threes. Speaking of par 3's, what happened on hole 9 was nothing short of incredible. JohnnyGK, our founder, captain, and team leader, thinned a 3-hybrid through a bunker and into the hole, for his first ever hole-in-one. After years of watching the Ace cam videos on social media, he finally did it, and we got it on film. A huge congrats to JohnnyGK, that memory will last with me forever, and I have no doubt it will be one of your crowning achievements in the many that you have earned and worked for with this great game. I am truly honored to be in the group that witnessed the GK Ace cam finally hit. Knowing how much this means to Johnny, I nearly shed tears celebrating with him, what a moment!

Las Posas is a great private club with so much to offer. The course is a fun layout with elevation, perfectly placed bunkers, and some tough greens. The views make this course what it is, and today with the wind howling from the Santa Ana's the ocean was visible for miles, and the green rolling hills looked immaculate. I highly recommend playing here if you get the chance. The staff is great, and they put a lot of effort into making the course/facility special. I also heard the breakfast burrito is one of the best golf has to offer.

Rode the blues this morning 12/29/25 around 10:50am at the famed Ojai Valley Inn CC. Joined by a nice family of 3 with two junior golfers. Had a blast today under perfect weather conditions around 63 degrees, sunny and no wind. It was blowing 40mph gusts at my house just 1 hr south of here. The Ojai Mountains do a great job of shielding Santa Ana days.

Thx to Dave and his friendly staff for having me out today. Our pop was around 4 hrs 25 minutes. Lots of golfers and guests at the Inn this week during the holidays.

Start with the layout which is a shorter, tighter front nine with numerous doglegs and fun sight lines from the tee. Back nine is a little more open parkland style with 3 nice challenging par 3s. It's a shame they don't have the original tees on 18. They currently have this playing as a 305 yd uphill par 4. Great layout otherwise here at Ojai Valley Inn.

I must commend the staff and how hard they are working. They had 12 inches of rain in 3 days which is insane. They had numerous huge trees come down lining 12 Fairway and a huge tree damaged 11 green which they are currently working on. The bunkers are hard wet compact run off surfaces at this time. I know the staff will have these back to their beautiful self after the next rainstorm coming in on Wednesday. The greens are in great shape. They are soft from the rains and foot marks are more present but they are in very good shape 8/10. The fairways are still very moist and very lush. 8/10. Rough is very green and deep and visually in great shape 8.5/10. Tees in good shape 7.5/10. Not fair to rate the bunkers at this time. Was 1/2 on sand saves today.

I love this place as well as Soule park next door. If you are up in the area this is a must play and will be back in perfect shape once we get past the next set of rainstorms and everything dries out.

Played today as I am relocating to the Napa area after the 1st of the year. My friend plays here as he is retired AF as well as myself and I had never played here before and most likely will play here again. Owned and operated by the AF but open to the public.

Played today as I am relocating to the Napa area after the 1st of the year. My friend plays here as he is retired AF as well as myself and I had never played here before and most likely will play here again. Owned and operated by the AF but open to the public.

Nothing spectacular about the course except the price which is a bargain for military, retired military and veterans. I paid $32 w cart for a Sun round of golf. And I did not check the public rate but don't imagine its to bad.

18 hole fairly flat, nondescript layout but has some teeth to it. But it was just after the heavy rains so I don't think its fair to treat it to poorly. Given a good sunny day and dry conditions I believe this is a course all skill levels can enjoy.

The course sits N E of the base and is surrounded by open land and no houses anywhere. Given the location and terrain I would imagine it is not fun playing when it gets windy.

Driving range and practice area available.

Old clubhouse that could use a facelift. But the restaurant is great. Called Fairways Lounge & Grill and the prices are what you got 20 years ago. $1 coffee and $5 for a breakfast sandwich that was delicious. Oh and no sales tax. I might just go eat there and not play golf? And they serve alcohol and have it set up as a sports bar.

If you are in the area I would recommend trying it out. You might find it to your liking. I did.
