Played today as I am relocating to the Napa area after the 1st of the year. My friend plays here as he is retired AF as well as myself and I had never played here before and most likey will play here again. Owned and operated by the AF but open to the public.

Nothing spectacular about the course except the price which is a bargain for military, retired military and veterans. I paid $32 w cart for a Sun round of golf. And I did not check the public rate but don't imagine its to bad.

18 hole fairly flat, nondescript layout but has some teeth to it. But it was just after the heavy rains so I don't think its fair to treat it to poorly. Given a good sunny day and dry conditions I believe this is a course all skill levels can enjoy.

The course sits N E of the base and is surrounded by open land and no houses anywhere. Given the location and terrain I would imagine it is not fun playing when it gets windy.

Driving range and practice area available.

Old clubhouse that could use a facelift. But the restaurant is great. Called Fairways Lounge & Grill and the prices are what you got 20 years ago. $1 coffee and $5 for a breakfast sandwich that was delicious. Oh and no sales tax. I might just go eat there and not play golf? And they serve alcohol and have it set up as a sports bar.

If you are in the area I would recommend trying it out. You might find it to your liking. I did.

On day 2 of my rare 3 day weekend, I played this really sweet 9 hole course in a private mobile home community. There are par 3s and 4s and one par 5. The conditions were as good as any of the popular courses out here. The staff was very welcoming.. something that's definitely not always the case at these small courses.

On day 2 of my rare 3 day weekend, I played this really sweet 9 hole course in a private mobile home community. There are par 3s and 4s and one par 5. The conditions were as good as any of the popular courses out here. The staff was very welcoming.. something that's definitely not always the case at these small courses.
I opted not to play 18 just to leave time for some non-golf activities this afternoon. Check it out if you have an hour and a half to spare when you're in the area

It's a 12 hole course with holes 1-6 played again to get a full 18. The course was well saturated and muddy in some spots, but the grass was in nice shape otherwise. The greens rolled nicely although they didn't all appear to be the same kind of grass and some were definitely faster than others. I played with 3 gentlemen who are members and were a lot of fun and very helpful in finding my way around the course with its somewhat confusing layout.
I wouldn't mind playing it again sometime in better conditions

Played Willowick for the first time on 12/18/2025. The greens were good, held well, and rolled faster than they looked. The fairways were a little torn up and soggy in places. I had no issues with the tee boxes. Somehow I avoided all the bunkers. The service was great and the course was busy, so the pace was a little slow. 12/23/25 Early bird tee time only thing available for my partner and I on Tuesday, 7:24am. Fog had just receded as we set up the balls. First time I had to play with my hoodie on this year. This course is also a bit out of my driving orbit 1hr 20 min from O.C. Green fee price and condition of the course made up for that. Beautiful setting ,deer everywhere. Small driving range, good carts (no GPS), beverage cart service, 5 holes have access to bathrooms. Fairways just about perfect, rough could be trimmed, narrow mature tree lined stay out. Greens healthy and fast.....lots of slope will frustrate the best on these surfaces! Let me say it again, the GREENS protect against low scores. Staff is casual but very organized, especially the starter keeping everybody informed and ready to roll. Pace was perfect all through the round. I'll be back.
