Played 4/8/26 @ 0720. The weather was perfect! Not too hot, not too cold... Conditions were also up there with everything just right. Played 4/8/26 @ 0720. The weather was perfect! Not too hot, not too cold... Conditions were also up there with everything just right. Check in was quick and easy, the cart barn guys were very organized and had us out 10 minutes early. Tee boxes were nice and level- the par 3s had some issues with the divots, but that's understandable. Fairways were great to hit from with an occasional spot here and there. They were doing some major work on the 13th fairway but it did not affect play. The 2 bunkers that I was in were great to play from, the others looked nice also. The greens were rolling really good, but I'm pretty sure they're bumpier later on during the day. They always keep this course in good to great condition- today was exceptional...

Westridge is a fun track with a nice mix of ups, downs, narrow, wide, shorts, longs, and fair, challenging greens. Bring plenty of extra balls if you can’t always keep it straight. I’ll be back and hope that pace of play is more reasonable next time.

Westridge is a fun track with a nice mix of ups, downs, narrow, wide, shorts, longs, and fair, challenging greens. Bring plenty of extra balls if you can’t always keep it straight. I’ll be back and hope that pace of play is more reasonable next time.

This is a hillside course with many terraced, narrow fairways and a few holes running straight uphill or downhill. Greens are smooth & receptive with some tricky undulations and run at a medium speed. The fairway grass is a bit thick and tends to grab your club on imperfect hits. There’s several large dirt spots on the tee boxes and fairways, just plan on giving yourself some free relief. Traps all had nice sand but were covered in footprints. Does anyone there know how to use a rake?

Golf carts are mandatory and are quite nice but don’t include GPS. You can no longer drive your cart to the parking lot so use the bag drop. You’ll still need to lug your clubs downstairs.

Pace of play was poor: 5 hours starting a 11am on a Monday. Stern warnings on the carts to maintain 4:15 pace seem like empty threats. We saw a marshal but he didn’t seem to do much.

Hmmm...where to start. I wanted to LOVE Mission Viejo CC as we are moving to Laguna Niguel and it is definitely on my list of clubs to join. I brought my Mother-in-law and Wife to tour and they didnt feel very welcome (evidently women are not as welcome as one might think). We stayed for lunch and the food was ok....not great. I played with a member who did nothing but talk about how much money he had and his private jet, blah blah. I had high expectations for the course but I didnt find it very memorable. It wasn't overly difficult ("Mission Impossible" seems to be a bit of an overstatement) and I really didnt feel that it had much personality and lacked the scenic views of many Orange County courses. The bartender was fabulous and his Palomas were definitely the highlight of the day but this course now commands a $100K initiation, so the experience should be elite. Even if you spotted them an "E" the "L" and the "I"....I am not sure Mission Viejo could spell ELITE. The clubhouse is beautiful and the grounds are nice....but all you hear is that atrocious pickleball noise from the patio. All in all, it fell a bit short of expectations even if Robert Trent Jones Sr designed the course (which he did)....

It is the greenest it's ever been, some rough edges but overall this place is well worth the hour and 15 minutes to play. Tee boxes lush and they seem to have removed some of the mats and the concrete tee boxes they used before. Good coverage on all the fairways except for the left side of ... » More

Good coverage on all the fairways except for the left side of hole 2 close to the green where the mowers seem to congregate. Wasn't in any sand traps but they looked ok. Greens were not holding shots but they putted nicely. They are punching the greens next week on 4/13 if you can get out there before then.

The tee boxes are in great shape, the fairways were some of the best I have ever played, and the rough was cut perfectly. The greens had a lot of old holes in the same area, and that is about the only knock I can say about Desert Willow. I could not believe how many people where here on a Monday in early April, this place was slammed. Everyone was great, and the service you get is incredible. Great range, putting and chipping green, We never waited, and the crew was on a lot of the holes watering, mowing, and fixing things. Put this on the bucket list.
