Got an 11:00 start as single joining another single and a twosome, all playing the whites. Probably 20-something years since I've played here, I was favorably impressed and it felt a step above average my average muni experiences. Teeing grounds were consistently level with consistent, tight coverage that was worn close to more of a suggestion of coverage at times in the hitting zone. As these are teeing areas, i.e. using a tee to set up the ball, I saw no issues with them. As an aside, the ground is firm and sometimes required a little extra to get the tee set. Fairways were nice: good hitting surface, a little on the tight side with good roll, visually clean and generally consistent. Rough varied greatly. Usually playable fairway adjacent, but also extensive areas of chips/dirt a little beyond that. There are also areas around the property with trees, foliage and weedy undergrowth that has become lush with the rain and it can be easy to lose balls there. I was in way too many bunkers so I can vouch for the condition which is generally pretty clean, firm-ish with good sand on which the ball sat up more than not. Green surrounds were clean and good for short game, albeit frequently more on the tight than lush side. Greens were firm and ran at a good quick speed that was not excessive. Where repaired, they tend to show ball mark scars even when those visual traces don't impact the roll. There is a firm, sandy quality to the soil that requires a little more attention and effort with the tool to repair pitch marks. Most greens had some element of contour and I enjoyed putting on them.

I'd had my eye out to catch a round here with my regular golf buddy, but I never saw availability late in the week when we play. As it was a Tuesday (my birthday) and I was going single, I was able to score the booking on short notice. In addition to the nice overall conditions, the group ahead pulled away while the trailing group was usually about a hole behind, so we had a sense (illusion) of an uncrowded course and our own pace (4.5 hrs). There were a couple of negatives to mention. First is the proximity of the freeway and that noise, especially for holes closer to it. Because it is constant, I treat it as white noise and it really doesn't bother or faze me, but for some it would definitely be a consideration. The other issue was odors, at least on that day. They were patching the clubhouse roof, so there was the tar smell in that vicinity. Closer to the freeway and the construction areas that are still active was a smell somewhere between sulfurous and sewage wafting about. It was somewhat localized but not insignificant, and in the vein of "know before you go" be forewarned. Again, I observed it, but it wasn't going to ruin my round nor would it keep me away. Bottom line, I was impressed with the improvements and conditions and will definitely look forward to playing here again.

First time playing this course. Heard rumors that this course played slow. I should have listened. First hole was packed with people waiting, teed off 30 minutes after assigned tee time. They should not allow 5-somes on a course. Waited on every hole. Total POP just over 5 hours, it would have been more, but several players quit after the 9th hole.

First time playing this course. Heard rumors that this course played slow. I should have listened. First hole was packed with people waiting, teed off 30 minutes after assigned tee time. They should not allow 5-somes on a course. Waited on every hole. Total POP just over 5 hours, it would have been more, but several players quit after the 9th hole.

Now course conditions. Due to the rains, the fairways and rough were lush. The greens rolled true and slightly fast. Green side traps held good amount of sand. Conditions were very nice, but I would not play here again due to POP.

Early morning four round walking on the Oaks and Creek nines. Staff always pleasant and efficient. The cart fee is steep at $25 per player to ride. The tee boxes were all in good condition with the par three holes somewhat beat up with divots. The sixth hole on the Oaks is in the process of being revamped. Early morning four round walking on the Oaks and Creek nines. Staff always pleasant and efficient. The cart fee is steep at $25 per player to ride. The tee boxes were all in good condition with the par three holes somewhat beat up with divots. The sixth hole on the Oaks is in the process of being revamped. The par three is maxed out at 170 yd until the work is complete. There were a few trees along the Oaks fairways that have been removed or need to be removed as they have broken off or come down with the weather recently. The fairways all have great coverage with thick green damp grass that doesn't allow much roll from the tee. The rough was being mowed as we played but was still extremely thick and littered with grass clippings. Finding a ball in the rough is still difficult and hitting from it can be a struggle. The traps were all raked and damp but some were quite shaggy around the edges. The greens on the Oaks were noticeably firmer and quicker than those on the Creek. The firmer Oaks greens did not hold shots as well as the Creek nine. All greens had total coverage and few ball marks. The walking rates are still in line with other local course offerings less the cart. It is a pretty easy walk on the Oaks and Creek nines.

Played 1-19-26 in the morning walking as a foursome and finishing in a little under 4 1/2 hours with some minor waiting. Tee boxes were mostly level with some of them being on the thin side, and minor divot damage on par threes. Fairways for the most part were in good shape. There were a few bare areas, and some wet spots where they haven't dried out yet from the rains, but mostly good lies and decent roll out. Primary rough along fairways was 2-3 inches, in good shape and thick, outside that is 1-2 feet and lost ball territory. Was not in any bunkers but they looked to be in good condition and well groomed. Greens were in good shape, rolling medium pace and mostly smooth with an occasional bump mostly from unrepaired pitch marks. Overall course in good condition. Recommend playing.

Tees and fairways lush and well maintained. Sand near immaculate. Rough mostly dormant, clumpy Bermuda mowed low. Lies can vary tremendously within a small area. Large Bermuda greens firm and medium quick. Stay below the hole! Few ball marks. Restaurant good for a golf course. Customer service excellent both inside/outside the club. Practice facilities and the GPS on the carts both excellent. Men's lounge nice place to have a meal or get a drink with numerous big screen TV's in a friendly atmosphere. Newly renovated gym is a nice addition as well. Highly recommended.
