While I don't do much of this tracking, I keep all my score card as possible. But what I'm really proud of is that for many years, I had not given up on inviting My son to come out and play golf. He went out with me this year in June!! That is many-many years of trying. Play through Greenskeeper.org ! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! ![]() JVGA |

A record number of rounds per year for me, and I played in both singles and team cup match tourney's. 18 new courses played in a year is also a record for me, and no longer my mental hangup and scorecard killer. Tinkering will still be a part of my mantra, and 2021 will likely be the year of the putter for me. Love this game. ![]() |

Member Since: December 4, 2002 Favorite Golfer: Phil/Jordan Favorite Golf Course: tournament Club of Iowa ![]() ![]() ![]() | Monday December 21, 2020 3:36 PM I play golf almost every day. I have been averaging in excess of 350 - 360 rounds per year for a very long time, but this year, with Covid-19, it has been a struggle. Despite the pandemic I have played 319 rounds through this date,( 122 away and 197 at the two Coto courses) and weather permitting, I should get close to 330. This will be the lowest total rounds played in a year since 1988, when I played just over 300 rounds. However this will be the first time since I moved to California in 1970 that I did NOT play even one round out of state. In fact, I did not play any golf course north of Lompoc (La Purisima) Hoping that 2021 will allow me to again travel and play away from California. As I become older and slowing down, I suspect my numbers will continue to decrease. I know the quality of my golf will continue to erode. Sad ! Despite that fact, I continue to play and for the most part still appreciate playing, but the enjoyment factor has greatly been reduced. The one accomplishment I am most proud of is I finally achieved a life time goal of shooting my age. On October 3, 2020 I shot 71 at Coto de Caza - south (blue tees - par 72 ) I will be 73 on December 25th, so it was a thrill to finally cross that off my bucket list. It took me over 60 years and well over twelve thousand rounds to reach that milestone. Not counting a couple hundred rounds I played in Chicago before moving to California, which I don't have cards for, I have cards for every one of my 12,151 rounds I've played to date. I have all the stats, but way to much information to provide. Not trying to boast, but I thought maybe someone might be interested ??? [[Edited by weber on Monday December 21, 2020 3:43 PM]] ![]() |
